Another surprise. She felt unsure what it was, but felt the need to ask anyway. She didn't think that Gio would hide anything bad.

"Yes", She asked. "What is it, Gio? I'm listening."

"Well, nighty-night! I'll see ya later...m'kay?", She asked. She turned around and walked into the hall, hugging her new diary and accessories protectively.

"Night!" Giovenith yawned, having been drained from the whole little 'session.' To her, talking to people about bitter things going on with them help always seemed bit like swallow up as much of the darkness as you could yourself, and then dissolving it. Like a freaking immune system cell or something. At least that was how she imagined it, and fitting with the description, sometimes dealing with too much of it left her feeling rather sick herself. Perhaps sleeping and dreaming well would take her mind off such negativity. She flopped right there on couchy-bed under the space-cloud ceiling, and roll-wrapped herself with the blanket, almost instantaneously passing out.

Swith Witherward wrote:She sat down and composed a series of letters to those listed in the paperwork. These were the people Yoshi wanted to see his nation. She'd follow through with that wish. The letters requested that those people gather in the communal dining room on Monday night, on Yoshi's behalf, so that she could explain the state of his estate as well as the Prime Minister's invitation.

The letters were slipped under doors that night. Bran, Rylli, Tolya, Torii, Katya, Gio, Tsu, Blossom and Jacob were all requested to attend the meeting.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

"Cabbage is good." Bran replied. And while it was basically all there was that grew well there, so it was sort of out of neccessity that they consumed so much of the stuff, the entire family did think it was fine. Rachelle liked it, of course, she was always willing to try different foods.

"And we have the fish, so yay! Dinner!" Rylli chuckled. Her childlike behavior garnered the laughs of both her children, and Tolya nearly threw his bowl of baby-food in the process.

"Woah now." A quick thinking Bran had said. He had grabbed the bowl before it had flown off and set it back down for Tolya.

"So . . . Wait, sounds like mail."

Sure enough, a small buzzer alerted them to something. It was a bell hooked up to the mailbox out front, a secret project of Bran's since the bomb shelter was an entire staircase up from the bunker they lived in.

"Mind if I go and get it?"

OOC: Sorry for missing this!

Natiya was glad, glad that she wasn't ever in an actual army. "Yeah, I never had to go through that, although I never did anything interesting as a Merc, so well, yeah." She shrugged.

"I can fill out the papers if you give them to me now, I'll take them home or something."

The New Velociraptor Empire wrote:"Thank you, I'll catch up on that sleep. I don't think I remember the last time I actually slept." Fortu said to Monique as he handed her the coffee maker. "I know the feeling of not having visitors." He told Rodney as he moved toward the living room. Fortu set his suitcase aside and sat upright in the couch in a few moments he tipped over with his eyes off and his mind drifting into a caffeine free slumber.

Fortu was brought to the guest bedroom. It was typical of Swithwardian style and furnished with comfort in mind and had an attached bathroom.

Monique settled into the living room to have a long talk with Rodney over the Nevvie problem.

Cerillium wrote:
The cuckoo behind his little red door ventured out that afternoon. It noticed the sleeping woman right away; it didn't see Klaus although it noticed the red rose he'd placed on the pillow beside her. It warbled its two-toned song before the little red door snapped shut.

Elsewhere, the Germanic Templar's Master of the Fleet, Darwin Gordon, had just stepped foot into the lobby. Torri heeded Giovenith's words to stand up for herself with Tsu. Fortu crossed the threshold into the Nifid apartment. Tony walked away from Katya. Primordial hurried out his door, forgetting to lock his apartment. Tipper cast her bones.

The cuckoo had heralded 1 PM; the hour of the individual, the hour when a man strode alone into the mists to face insurmountable challenges. It was aggression and solitude. It was Thüring - the beginning of order, the end of hesitation, the start of radical change.

But 1 PM followed noon and was the thirteenth hour on a clock. Tridici. Twelve men sat around a table but the thirteen had fled to betray. On Friday the 13th, a French king ordered the arrest of the Knights Templar thus establishing the downfall of the order.

One and three make four; The Emperor, the time of upheaval. It was the homonym for "death" in some Asian languages. The old Empire had died and a new one was about to form.

There are four basic states of matter in chemistry and four fundamental forces in physics. In Islam, when Abraham said: “My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead,” Allah replied: “Then take four birds, and tame them to yourself, then put a part of them on every hill, and summon them; they will come to you flying." It was a powerful number.

The fourth bird prowled in an uneasy state. His time of banishment was ended, the curse broken. He was the second finger, the one which signified defiance when raised. He’d returned to the hill to replace the perfidious splinter of War. The fractured set would be restored.

Fate played its hand and the wooden cuckoo, being a wise carving that understood numbers, heeded the signs and retreated into its clock to ponder their significance.

"Mind if I sit down?" Ogoti looked at the cutout representation. "Hello Bones," he said amicably.

He settled into a chair and leaned forward. "Omimati, you can't haul this thing all over. You're going to strain your back. Besides, Bones was never one to sit still. He came and went as he saw fit and sprung out of nowhere right when it was best. Why don't we do that with him? You trust him to my care. I'll make sure he gets where he needs to be and always when you need him most. Does this suit you?"

OOC: Foreshadowing. Love it!
IC:

Minerva woke up and rolled over. She spotted the rose and a blissful (and somewhat sappy) smile crept onto her face. Normally, she'd chastise herself for being "weak" and allowing an emotion to influence her. Not this time. It was love, the honest and genuine kind that made every day a treasure.

She found a vase in the kitchen and set the rose on a small table where she's be able to see it upon walking into the apartment or when sitting in the living room or kitchen. She paused to appreciate the heavenly scent and then she stepped into the shower, dressed for the day, and headed out on business.

--

Naomi looked like a child asked to give up a favorite toy... or imaginary friend. His logic made perfect sense, though. Bones really didn't like investing a lot of time in one spot. He'd be unhappy if forced to do so. She sighed. "Okay, Ogotimatu. I trust you. But please take really good care of him, okay? Please? And make sure he gets some sunlight, and coffee cakes."

She began to whimper. Her eyes fastened on the cutout's painted eyes and she felt a pang. It hurt. It fucking hurt to give up a representation of the only being who never hurt her, never thought she was stupid, genuinely cared about her enough to seek her out during her darkest hour in the Soul Meadow... Naomi stood up. "Bye Bones."

She stepped away, and then forced herself to walk away. She was running by the time she hit the hallway and tears flew from her eyes as she ran down the stairs. Her apartment door slammed shut.

"Good idea," Swith replied. Lordy, walking in to a human (looking) family would be awkward to explain. She'd insisted on just using their last name on the mailbox for just such an occasion. "Mr. and Mrs." would have stood out and destroyed his attempts to have a calm, behind the scenes life. She quietly hoped Naomi hadn't been at the mailboxes changing name slips again.

She slipped on shoes and prepared to follow him down the stairs.

--

"Oh, I liked him as well," Xanthe replied. "He was another warm Pope. I didn't like all of Vatican II, and it was a sad day when Latin masses were pushed aside for English, but Pope John Paul II was the peaceful face of the Church that the world desperately needed to see. Still, he wasn't as humble as Pope Francis is. What a beautiful man."

As they opened the door and moved down the hall towards the lobby, there down the way was the M.F.

"Hail, emperor. I have some news to discuss with y-" He paused for a moment and looked at Swith and back at Thriller. "And who is she?"

"Her name is Ms. McCoy. An excellent business woman from the 2nd district. She came to help look over the businesses I have established here to help out the locals and our nation."

"Why that is quite noble and all, kaiser, but we have no nation left."

"What?"

"That is why I am..Here. To tell you that the empire was destroyed by some rebellious planets that had been backed up by the U.E.T.C. Everything fell within a week and we lost. But not before taking seven - ninths of their forces."

"Where were you and your fleet?"

"Defending a loyalist planet. Don't worry, the Four Warships of the Apocalypse survived. Further more they didn't hold the planet for long before a revolution occurred. Even with them kicked off, the galaxy is in complete disarray. Minor empires and kingdoms risen from our empire, Gliese 581g has been divided up with only a few still loyal, others who want to construct their own nation from the ruins of our empire, and those who are too busy with their own agendas."

--

"Actually Vatican Council Two was started by Pope John XXIII. Called it to help modernize the church. I believe it was a smart to remove it from latin and better to go to English, the masses were more able to listen to the message rather then just listen."

She drew up memories of Gliese 581. "I went to the spa with Swith. That was before the ball. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't shown up. I felt so awkward in that pink dress. I couldn't even get gloves on my hands." She held up her cybernetic hands and flexed the fingers. "Yeah, it was so good to see you. You reassured me that my parts were useful and not funny or odd. You gave me confidence as we walked to the ballroom."

Her voice faltered a moment. "Maybe that's why I want so badly for this company to work? I want to give people the confidence you gave me."

Wren's eyes met Barox's and she blinked back tears. "This just has to work."

He gave her a hug and told her. "It will work and it shall work. With your knowledge and my know how, this business will work."

It reminded me perfectly of a dog when you grab onto their tails!" His laughing died down, and he resumed his petting of Ray. "So, what's this show called? Do you know? And what is it about?" He smiled down at Ray, and then looked at the TV to see if he could see a name somewhere. Jacob also chuckled a little bit at Ray's performance, wondering if the fox-man had been doing that on purpose or what. IT did seem quite the over the top reaction for Albert simply grabbing his tail.

"Uh.... no thanks. I'm good. Plus, I don't think there's room for two people on top of that couch." Jacob replied, chuckling a bit. He looked back at his book, and went back to reading. "Why are you staring at the ceiling as well? Especially with the TV on?"

Not missing a beat, she replied, "It's nice and quiet. Just like you. As you pointed out, somewhat refreshing."

"And furthermore, it allows me some attention to dedicate to things like that." She rolled cat-like off the couch and went to pick up the letter. "S'for you guys." She extended it to the closest person.

"Actually Vatican Council Two was started by Pope John XXIII. Called it to help modernize the church. I believe it was a smart to remove it from latin and better to go to English, the masses were more able to listen to the message rather then just listen."

If Swith's eyebrows raised any higher, they would have disappeared off her face. Her first impulse was Smite them all!, especially the ungrateful bastards on Gliese 581g. Swith took a few breaths and pushed that thought out of the way. Smiting wouldn't do anything. Thriller wasn't about domination. These were his subjects... but they were also his children and he loved them. Children sometimes go astray. When that happened, parents were sometimes left feeling rejected and heartbroken. Swith tilted her head and looked at Thriller. Mech suits didn't express emotion, however.

"Fuck the U.E.T.C.," she muttered. But Swith wasn't any stranger to war. Striking down the U.E.T.C. would solve one problem but the more-pressing need was the wayward colonies and kingdoms.

"Kaiser, this matter won't solve itself," she ventured. "Gliese is the foundation of the Empire. You must move quickly to retake it before focusing on the outlying kingdoms. The rebellious governments don't represent the people, necessary."

I can't help with this, she told herself. It wasn't her place to. Her hands were tied by the very nature of what she was. And then, like a sniper round, her heart spoke: He's going to be gone a while. That pain was quickly diffused when she imagined the people of Gliese were struggling and in need of their Kaiser. That need outweighed anything she felt.

She set her jaw, bit back her sorrow for the people, and looked to Thriller for guidance.

"I always forget Pope John XXIII," Xanthe admitted. "I was very out of touch with Mankind during that time period. Granted, his decision did open things up and draw people in, but I so miss the Latin mass." Empty creamer containers now littered the table. She began to stack them, and then stuffed the empty sugar packs inside. Old habits, but that was Xanthe.

Some time after leaving Gio's room, Torii bumped into her sister, and the two had gone to bed.

Earlier the next day, when they woke up, they noticed the enveloped by the door, and made sure to check them out. They both dressed into their usual uniforms afterwards, had lunch, and went out into the halls to look for some people. They felt like going around town for a while.

Primordial left his apartment in a rush not even bothering to close the door behind him and leaving the room to his apartment open as he fled down the apartment stairs not having time to wait for the elevator. Under his arm he carried a cylindrical metal container that hummed and vibrated with a strange malevolence and would draw the eye of nearby people. Primordial slowed down once h reached the lobby holding his ring out and activating his PCPU displaying a blue hololithic screen.

New Aksarben wrote:Albert laughed, and let go of Ray's tail. He might be a nasty person sometimes, but he would never intentionally hurt Ray, and would only mess with him from time to time. "Sorry, Puppy. I just was getting a bit peeved by you whacking me with it." Albert told Ray between snickers. "I had no idea you would have that reaction, though, Ray! It was priceless!

Ray huffed and crossed his arms, looking peeved at Albert's mention at his actions when his tail was grabbed. After all, it was only reactionary. "...It's this old show that I remember seeing on TV. I don't even know if it's still running...", Ray finally spoke back, referring to the show now playing on the TV almost like anyone in our era would refer to Seinfeld or a similar long-running television show. "Anyway, the show Castle is about this millionaire mystery writer who basically gets thrown together with a New York City Police detective because of a murder that's similar to one in his many books. The detective acts like she hates the experience but she actually likes the guy, but is thrown off by his approaches and advances. And the entire show is about them going off and solving murders together because the writer is friends with the mayor and police chief, so he gets to ride along with the detective." He finished explaining while Dora had gone off and retrieved the letters that slipped under the door, and wondered what they were for.

He would catch the eyes of the sisters, who knew that whenever a Luxan was in a hurry, something was up.

Katya was quick to turn around and called out to him as he ran by. "Primordial!", She called, "what's up?"

Torii stayed behind her sister and watched.

"Um, okay, Primordial. Sorry for the interruption then.", Katya said. She gave a slight bow, as a "see ya, then", to the Luxan, then turned and began to lead her sibling along. So Prim was busy...perhaps she's find somebody else to go outside with.
