So what sort of things is Estrada trying to find in the book? More information about the Scarlet Knights of the Sun?

More or less. He figures there might be something regarding defenses or weaponry that he could learn. Besides, he's bored. It's the middle of the night.

Well, that one is more focused on records of the castle, so it'll have inventories and journal entries. But I imagine there'll be bits mentioning defence plans for the castle or something. Though Aldraniri picked up a manual on weapons techniques, so Estrada could ask him if he doesn't find the big book satisfactory. I reckon the several day timeskip between the castle crawl and graveyard fight would be enough time for Aldraniri to mention it to Estrada.

it's what I was going to do, but first I'd let a ting bit of character interaction occur first, help the less active people get caught up.

Timeskip! do it now! (wait a moment, did anyone restrain Jonah? He's liable to run if someone doesn't beat him to the punch and either tether him down or keep him on a short leash.

That should do it! jonah's actual weaknesses are knots, considering his means of cutting through them are using his teeth. How is he bound?

Poorly. Uh...to the graveyard fence. Using a gravestone to bind him would be disrespectful, and using one of the sturdy trees wouldn't help contain a nature elemental.

Not wanting to run around in a forest stealing people's bags is the most compelling argument to abstain from drugs ever made.

To bad he's wrong and its only because Jonah is feral that he's acting this way. Also, does Gaia use a single universal language, or do the different countries have native tongues as well? Just wonderign for the sake of Jonah not really knowing much Gaiacan and rather speaking the tongue of the hunters and villagers of the land he used to live in. The only words he's actually spoken right now have been in a language made for trees and shrubbery and supernatural beings. If you note that perhaps that might help begin to aid in breaking the language barrier, but someone would have to know the language in order to speak with him, which means it'd have to be an elemental or someone highly sensitive to language. That is, if Gaiacan is a universal language (I apologize for not knowing the proper name for the dialect).

There's four main language groups: Galllish, Halveforin, Yuelkulunah, and Sahranjjite. Galllian is spread through Galllia and the lands it once ruled in the days of the empire. While there are innumerable variation of the language depending on location, class and so on a general "standard" version of the language has been maintained, similar to how Received Pronunciation is/was regarded as the "default" accent of English-speakers in Great Britain. Halveforin has some similarities with Galllish, but still maintains enough differences to be a separate language. Though due to the mercantile nature of the Glorious Kingdom most educated Halvefori speak Galllish as well. Yuelkulunah is the easiest language to learn, while Sahranjjite is the hardest, though the desert people don't venture out of their lands much except for trade, and when they do they just learn Galllish, which is the dominant tongue of Gaiaca.

It's strange thinking the IC started more than 6 months ago, and I posted the original OOC exactly 11 months ago.

Quick thing, he said the words in italics, not the regular font words. That was to show the meaning if anyone was familiar with the language of his homeland... if not, it was at least to show that he was capable of speaking and responding, if not entirely sure what he was saying.
