There would also be the bonus of security paying smack unto smacker, a person who responded to a cliche phrase, not with a response about a cliche phrase being a place where metaphor has died, but trying to deconstruct the cliche as though the problem is that it was not universally true by pointing out irrelevant facts.

Considering that Leroy's argument there was literally indistinguishable from one of the worst possible jokes in existence and is an argument I used to make as a child when I had no other arguments left, the combination of a horrible joke and the reminder of how horribly precocious I was as a child somehow made a sentence that, if uttered by a character that was not supposed to be disliked, would make me despise the character.

Let me try to summarize it.

Leroy, made an argument that works as a type of joke that is more likely to incite violence than laughter and works as an argument which both fails as an argument since it does no deconstruction of the argument and deconstructs a cliche (something which, by its nature, is a dead metaphor) and is something that I think of as a pedantic and pseudo-intellectual and obnoxious way to argue (which I used a lot when I was my younger, much more pretentious self).
