Ewart's first reaction? Scramble, of course. It's not like he was going to just stay there and watch them come, and his MS wasn't that far away. Once he was in the relative safety of his cockpit, he finally took a better look on the eyesore suits.

"By Jove, they are ugly." he mumbled, his loudspeakers still on. "Uh, did I just leave the loudspeakers on? Oops." He just hoped the newcomers had bad hearing. Then again, even if they didn't... well, something told him he was about to have a baptism of fire. "All right, let's do this," he muttered, after the unit was properly set, "but how to contact... hmm, I wonder if they the others have tightbeam transmissions?" The pilot shrugged. There was still time to set some communications up, so he better get on with it instead of thinking whether he can do this or not. "This is Ewart, can you hear me?" he asked, as his GM Custom pointed his gun in the general direction of the stick suits. "We'd better get a common frequency so we can keep in touch with each other during combat, they have the upper hand in numbers."

"Ah..." uttered the flustered Millia, as her GINN slowly climbed upright. Twisting the frequency, it did not take long to find Ewart's frequency. Problem was, they were dangerously outnumbered, and at risk of getting overrun.

"What are these people," she questioned, eyeing the Flags speeding their way. However, on closer inspection, she noticed one Mobile Suit at the front, completely different from the rest. Speeding in front of the horde of Flags was a white Gundam Mk.II, damaged and fleeing from the gang pursuing it. Wielding what appeared to be roughed up "Schwert Gewehr" 15.78m Anti-ship Sword, it seemed desperate to hold off the swarm.

"S-someone's in danger out there," she uttered, "what should we...?"

Stalling a bit on her words, she had no idea how to respond. On one hand, intervening would put all of them in serious danger, a risk they can all ill-afford. On the other, standing by while the mob take down the Gundam was nothing short of arbitrary, and the righteousness in her would never live it down. But the mob was already beginning to detect their presence too. They had to do something.

Union Flags are stronger than Hizack and Marasai combined?

Recommended, because failing to do so will not change the mob's decision to go after you. Of course, the Flags aren't any stronger than any of our MS, and frankly more prone to getting shot down due to their flimsiness. But you have to hit them first.

I guess we'll only notice that in the end. Not to mention that the act of fighting itself is already mucking up the MS'es joints.
