Shira Dano-24-Jedi Knight
I listened as Salen told me he has not seen our child since he was born. I have been a little more fortunate, as I see him a couple times a year. I wanted so badly to tell him of all I know of Aran. But not here, I cannot. And he knows it. As far as everyone else is concerned we are just friends. But we were married in secret. And are forced to keep our lives separate for the most part. We could have left the order. And stayed as a family. Surely if I announced I had started a relationship and gotten pregant I would have been expelled. But we know of no other life. And we want Aran to live a normal life. A full one. Not like us.

As I looked at him I told him all he needed to know right now. "Aran is happy where he is." I gave a quick smile filled with a mother's heart. But let it fade quickly. I have already said too much. But he needed to know. I then walked back to Neeva and observed her training. Leaving Salen to his thoughts. I knew I could trust Junsun, he was not really even a Jedi. Soon I may tell him. Aran will need somebody not bothered by the Jedi Order to watch over him. I am hoping Junsun can take that on.

As I heard the scanners pick up, they signaled we were close to the planet of Coruscant. The trip was not a very long one. I walked over to the cockpit and guided us in. I was a fair pilot, but not the type to be called an 'Ace' by no means.
"This is Landing Station Y-7, state your cargo and business."
"This is Jedi Knight Shira Dano, Jedi Guardian of the Order, Cargo are Jedi. And we are on Republic business."
"Confirmed. You may land at your discretion."
"Thank you."

As I landed the craft I stepped off the shuttle with my padawan, Salen and his apprentice and Junsun. We were greeted by Republic security. They confirmed our status and allowed us passage. After bidding farewell to both Junsun and Salen I told them before I could start my investigation I needed to see my other padawan. It is rare but I have two. A young Mirialan girl and a Sqiub boy. I then went on my way as the two Padawan's have never met. As I had discovered Maghrl and took him on as my first padawan leaner. Why the council gave me a second I do not know.

After an hour of traveling we arrived at the old Jedi Temple. I knew Monghrl was likely searching for salvage. As I reached out for him with the force I guided him to my position through our connection as student and teacher in the force.

"In a few minutes you will meet your partner, Neeva." I said in a soft tone as I awaited my padawan.

Maghrl
Jedi Temple, Coruscant

After having meditated for a few hours, and with no sign of his master, Maghrl had returned to the temple. He had spent the next few hours scavenging from some of the outer levels, mostly getting scrap metal and a bit more information. The presence of the Sith spirits were much less in the are he went to, so he was able to stay calm and collected. Maghrl found no abnormal things as like the room with the deceased padawan, and it was obvious that looters besides the Jedi and Sith had been through here. Much of the furniture had been smashed as if by blunt force, and many decorations had been ripped off the walls and other locations. The sight of such desecration filled Maghrl with disgust. "How could one do something to the former home of their protectors?" He muttered in Squibban, before returning to his work of collecting data.

Eventually he felt his master's presence outside of the Temple. It was quite faint, due to the presence of so many restless force spirits. He finished with sifting through the data on a console to begin his trip back outside the temple. He scampered over the wreckage of the shuttle that was smashed into the Atrium by Sith. It wasn't able to be removed due to the fact it was holding up a large section of the roof. It had already been stripped of anything of importance, so Maghrl had ignored it during his time in the Temple. The Squib continued to follow his sense of his master, out the remains of the atrium and onto the main courtyard of of the Temple.

Upon seeing his Master with another padawan, Maghrl was filled with curiosity and confusion. Weren't Jedi only allowed one padawan? There must be a reason that she was given a new apprentice.... Maghrl rushed across to meet his Master. When he arrived he skidded to a stop then bowed. In Basic he said, "Greetings, Shira-Master. How was trip?" He knew that his basic was difficult for others to understand, and really wished to improve it over time. "Who is Shira-Master's other padawan?" Maghrl looked up at his master and the Miralian. An expression showing intense curiosity was plainly displayed on his face. Then a troubled look crossed it. "Master, Maghrl found body of Padawan in Temple-room. Maghrl found lightsaber," He pulls the grime-covered lightsaber out of his backpack, " in same room. Padawan was trapped by rubble in room, and somehow avoided Sith-detection."

Monghrl was obviously confused. "Its alright, the council has just seen fit to give me another Padawan. So, you will be training with Neeva from now on." I stepped back and allowed Neeva to introduce herself. Even as a 17 year old mirialan girl she still looked down at Monghrl. Well, that could not be helped. Squib were short. Neeva stood quite a contrast to monghrl as she was calm and reserved and spoke really only when needed. As she introduced herself I looked at the temple, but could still hear the introduction.

"I am Neeva. Your fellow padawan learner." She said. Already finished getting to know her fellow pupil. I sighed and motioned for them both to follow me. As I lead them back to the upper levels of Coruscant we were on our way to the Capital. To investigate the assasination, but this would be a very quick investigation I was sure. And was mostly just a formality. It will only be a matter of time before we are given command of Republic soldiers and sent to the frontlines.

The dark side seems to cloud the future. I cannot see but no doubt the Empire needs to be dealt with. Their unjust rule and oppresion has reached its end.

Salen(the Doctor)-30-Jedi Master

Salen could feel the dark side, and then a sudden disturbance was felt. He walked over to shira and said, "Did you feel that? A massive shift in the force was felt. Something very strong and dormant is awake. But I am not sure what, who or where." Said Salen as he force shocked a rat. Something big was going on, something that he would soon know and deal with. The force felt it shake and a strong sith had returned but who was it. Could if be Ravage or something else? "Hey, the way the empire rules has a benefit and a down side. We both know that, if you remember what I had as a Sith." Said Salen.

Maghrl-16-Padawan
Jedi Temple, Coruscant

"Is nice to meet you, Neeva. Am Maghrl.....Maghrl apologizes for bad grammar. Not that good with Basic." Maghrl told the other padawan. After putting the dirty lightsaber in his backpack again. Shira apparently hadn't heard him speak of the dead padawan he had found, as she hadn't reacted to it. Maghrl took one last look at the temple before leaving with his master. He had felt some strange and dark things in the Temple, and many the spirits of Jedi that had died needlessly because of the evil of the Sith. He couldn't imagine how much the loss of the Temple had hurt the other Jedi, especially old masters. Maghrl would remember the experiences he had in the Temple for a long time. He had decided to keep the lightsaber he had found, unless of course his master asked Maghrl to give it up. Maghrl would fix it up, and begin to use it alongside his own, as a way to remember the sorrow that he had felt from the padawan's spirit upon his discovery of her body.

Maghrl followed his master as she led them back to the upper levels, observing as much as he could of the city planet. It was amazing to Maghrl. He had grown up on a planet of large cities, that was for sure, but not to this huge of a scale. The cities of Skorr II had a huge amount of space between them, filled with natural terrain and occasionally junkyards. There was always something to salvage, and you could escape the city if necessary. That had been one of Maghrl's favorite things to do back on his home planet. He would wander around Skorr II's hills and plains. Maghrl didn't like the smells of such a large city. It smelled so artificial, and all the natural scents of the planet were all but gone. His nose wrinkled as they passed a particularly bad smelling area. It was much better on the upper levels, where they actually tried to simulate more natural smells and filtered out much of the pollution.

Maghrl looked out over the cityscape as they arrived at the top. He had not been able to trade for something for a week at least, and was starting to feel the urge to wander off to find an opportunity to do so. Maghrl never knew when his need to barter and haggle would show up, but it always did. It was just a part of being a Squib. The dog-like species had evolved a natural skill at doing so and eventually it became a psychological need to haggle with others. That was why they have the reputation as some of the best traders and hagglers of any species in the galaxy. Only a few species had larger reputations for trade and bartering. Maghrl started fidgeting a bit as he followed his Master. He was only half paying attention at this time, and hadn't even noticed Salen joining them.

Jecht Cath
Dromund Kaas

Jecht opened his eyes. He unlocked his fists, and stood up, looking about. He had not been disturbed for the hours that he meditated. Jecht felt the force, strong in him, fueling his rage, which would die down as he walked through the thicket and towards the beaten path. He turned, towards Kaas City, and began to walk. He observed the setting sun, which brought him no comfort. He would see many a sun when he was next deployed. As the hate in him faded, his facial expression changed. Instead of the sneering human, he was now neutral. Much more calm. Deceptive thoughts filled his mind. About the Sith Order, his claim to lordship. Plans that would see light in the future.

Then, his thoughts drifted to himself. In order to challenge the foundation of the Sith Order, he would first have to challenge himself. To become powerful enough to defeat a Sith Lord is one, but to rise as Dark Lord of the Sith, is another. To become the supreme ruler of the Empire, and the Order, would be a great challenge. Jecht would have to better himself, to become the ultimate marauder. Fueled by rage, imbued with power, strong in the force. Jecht looked around. He had arrived at the entrance to Kaas City. He walked through the great archway, and into the city, looking about.

Jecht Cath
Kaas City

The Sith marauder Jecht Cath entered Kaas City. He approached a cantina, entering, and ordering a drink. He took his re-breather off, observing the inhabitants of the bar. Nodding to one man. He placed his hand by his side, where his lightsaber was. Before the next battle, he would have to retrieve his second one from his quarters. The bartender handed him a drink, and Jecht tossed him a few credits, taking a drink of it. He looked around, a quiet scowl on his face, as he observed the drunks stumbling around. He finished his drink, and moved outside, walking towards his quarters, to retrieve his second saber.

Dromund Kaas

Kaas City

Having just exited the Dark Citadel Darth Krujas was now inspired, he was walking now as a man driven. Not only had he been entrusted with carrying out the will of the Dark Council itself; he had been entrusted with the responsibility and authority he had sought for decades; Finally he was acknowledged and instead of leading border campaigns or skirmishes across the galaxy he was finally leading the forces of his beloved Empire into actual conflict.

He had slain jedi before, he had slain republic forces from commando to random infantry he had killed them by the score but that had all been isolated and insular fighting; He was now going into battle possibly against Republic Veterans and would be pitting himself against Jedi Masters and Knights. The War Leaders of the republic didn’t frighten him as he had witnessed and overcome their abilities time and again but he was looking forward to it; Throughout the force he was emitting an aura of satisfaction and barely constrained blood lust.

The Planet itself seemed to echo his sentiment if it too was looking forward to the coming carnage; The conquest and war.
But that was when the familiar tremor echoed through the Force; It was a being he had suspected had been dead for Years now…The hidden eyes of the Dark lord of the Sith gazed in the direction he felt the tremor the very direction he had been heading.

“Revage…” He whispered and he felt a shock run through him at the very uttering of the word; The Sith Master whom had helped him be recognized and had fought side by side with against Salen and the traitor Charon but…Suddenly the memories of that distant battle came roaring back to him like a tidal wave of hatred and passion.

Ziost, Ziost System

Imperial Frigate Blood Wing

The Space around them were in chaos as the two fleets fought for domination of the skies; This wasn’t Republic fighting Empire no it was Sith Fighting Sith.

Charon’s Personal Navy had apparently decided to fight with him against the Empire and fired the first shots of the Battle and within seconds Vurk had ordered the Fleet into Battle against their own forces and throughout the contest as Imperial fought Imperial he couldn’t help but notice how wrong this was; How pointless it was.

One by one Charon’s Ships were downed but in a surprise ramming tactic their command ship had destroyed one of Vurk’s Destroyers. However the battle continued to favor the assaulting forces and things had gone well; The Initial Detachments to the Planet Below had uncovered Charon’s Citadel and it was now being targeted directly by the Fleet.

Things seemed to be going well; It would be but a matter of time before the majority of Charon’s Fleet was disabled or fled and then they focus upon the Rogue Sith Lord and his allies salen and his apprentice but then things had gone horribly wrong. Revage’s Forces had jumped from Hyperspace not into Vurk’s Deamination line as he had been hoping once his fellow lord had arrived but instead he had arrived squarely between engaging fleet’s during the middle of their Full barrages being unleashed against each and while he had ordered his Gun’s to cease firing it didn’t matter. Charon’s Forces utterly routed Revage’s Forces within moments and there was little to nothing he could have done to prevent it he had saw Revage’s Command Ship the Destroyer take several direct hits to the bridge and saw it crumple and disintegrate from the impacts.

That had been the last Vurk had seen of Revage and while he hadn’t confirmed Revage’s Death the destruction seemed total but he supposed that it was possible he had survived if he had escaped the Ship before it lost life support but when he had ordered his forces to search for survivors after Charon’s few surviving ships fled the field leaving their Master to perish in the battle below.

When he had ordered his forces to search for survivors Revage’s Destroyer showed none at all the entirety of the ship had lost life support, gravity, power and wasn’t even broadcasting a distress signal. After Vurk had returned from the Battle Below he had a moment of clarity a sense of oneness with the darkside of the force; he had ascended to his long deserved rank of Dark Lord and Revage had been that path to power.

Slowly the memories faded from and Vurk found himself once again back in Kaas City; His heart hammering within his chest and with a bit of focused concentration he was able to bring his body back into line; His Body, this mortal vessel like the force was subservient to his will and would do as directed.

His thoughts however were still upon Revage; While he had advanced considerably due to the Sith’s Influence he had been a path to power. But that was all he had been; While The two men had shared something of a friendship Vurk didn’t doubt he had been little more than a ally of conveince to the man and Revage had been the same to Vurk…But If he was alive Vurk owed him much and perhaps their old allegiance could once again be achieved.

Slowly he began advancing towards the scene as he edged closer and closer to the landing area he could feel the tremor much more clearly it was Revage he could sense that clearly and when he finally made his way up to the transport Depot he saw the Sith Lord once again; But he was now cleaving through Sith Troopers and had one suspended in his grip.

But the question he had barked unnerved Vurk; He didn’t know what Year it was? Where had he been? What had he been doing? All these thoughts flowed through the Sith Master’s Mind as he approached he could sense danger upon the wind but he didn’t reach for his lightsaber but he did subtly adopt a combative stance and prepared for possibly confrontation.

“Lord Revage?” He called out with obvious disbelief even though he tried to contain that as he approached his hands were plainly visible at his sides.

“…I didn’t expect to see you again; You were presumed dead at Ziost.” He said calmly as he gazed at the Sith Trooper within his grasp.
“Release him Revage; It has been a long time since you have been here…Things have changed.” He said evenly as he crossed his arms slightly.

“Revage…It has been Five Years…You have been gone for a long time as I said….But.” He said as he removed his cowl and showed the Sith Lord his face.

“It has been a good time for the Empire; I am now acting as the direct representative for Darth Marr of the Council but as you can tell you have been forgotten but do not worry my old friend…We can work together once again.” He said as he smiled and offered his hand to the Sith.

Darth Revage
Kaas City

"Five years? I have been gone five years?" Ausdi said astonished, his grip around the soldier's neck tightened then released, the soldier was desperately grasping for breath, "My plans, supporters, and prestige are all gone! Nothing but thoughts of a man who's been presumed dead for five years!" Yelled Ausdi as he stomped his foot into the ground and made a small depression. He slowly began to pace around the corpses of the dead soldiers muttering to himself as he took several glances at Vurk who held out his hand towards him, "Together?" Said Ausdi as he put emphasis on the word, "I would love to work together but I died on that ship, and something else within me grew over the old me." Ausdi said in a deathly voice as he gripped Vurk's hand tightly, "I am not Darth Revage anymore. I have become a monster, something to dread over." Stated Ausdi as he brought Vurk closer to his face. "I am Darth Naefas, and I have been tainted by something in the Esstran sector." Ausdi said in anger as he let go of Vurk's hand and slowly pulled away his mask, his face bore a large scar of a monstrous hand print covering his face, "Look." Hissed Ausdi as he slowly placed his mask back onto his face before stepping back from Vurk.

As he finished taking his last step he gazed at the corpses around him, a unamused emotion consumed him as he returned back to Vurk, "I am willing to work with you." Ausdi said quietly as he looked around at the crowd that had gathered around the scene, he gave a low sigh before brushing pass Vurk. He threw up his cowl and slowly began to make his way threw the crowd, as he was about to break free from the crowd he looked back at Vurk, "If you still have a holo-transmitter you can still contact me." Stated Ausdi as he pushed pass the last part of the crowd and began making his way back to his old living quarters.

The house was somewhat in a pristine condition, it definitely needed a clean up but Ausdi ignored that fact and continued toward his room which had a panel for his access only. A sense of peace covered him and he basked in the small joy until he felt his scar burn, "Damn, a burden upon me and my name." Ausdi said in anger as he walked over to his wardrobe and began to look over his clothing, he needed something else to describe Darth Naefas. As he walked through his wardrobe he slowly came across a article of clothing and gave a smile, "A piece even the old me would dread." Said Ausdi as he pulled the clothing off of the rack and began to pull on the garments. Ausdi pulled on multiple articles of clothing before latching his two extra light sabers on both thighs, he looked at the new mask and gave slight grin before sliding it over his head, the hideous scar slowly disappeared and a different Sith lord stood in the place of Darth Revage, "A new dawn arises." said Ausdi as he slid his double-bladed light saber off a nearby table and latched it onto his hip.

Shira Dano-24-Jedi Knight
As I spoke with Salen again he told me about a tremor in the force, I felt it too. As I reached out to it it felt...familier...but distant while at the same time being changed somehow. It was quite confusing. But I had no idea what It could be. So I motioned to my padawans to follow me while I told Salen and Junsun they could come with me if they so wished. I entered the capital building and eventually found my way to the Supreme Chancellor's office. It was now a crime scene. Before I walked in I turned around and looked down at my padawans and instructed them.

"Neeva, I want you to question the Chancellor's aides and see if you can uncover anything from them." I then turned to Monghrl. "And as for you I want you to search the area inluding the Chancellor's quarters and workplace on any physical clues. Perhaps some tech or evidence of a crime. I doubt that there is any left, but if there is you are by far the best choice to find it." As they turned to leave I stopped them for a moment. "Remember, search with your feelings and the force will guide you. And Monghrl, we will discuss the padawan you found later. Dont worry, she is one with the force now."

I then turned and let them go about thier mission, they are surely skilled enough to handle these tasks. Besides, padawan these days get the wrong idea about Jedi. Believeing all we are about is our lightsaber. And battling the Sith. Things such as this is the majority of what we do. Peacekeepers, negotaitors, explorers, medics, historians and teachers. That is the Jedi Order. We are many things. And a soldier for the Republic is the last thing on that list.

I hope they learn this. I had to the hard way. As I paced the room I did not feel the enrgy of a Sith. That of the dark side. Sooo...whoever did this must not be a hired gun of the Sith. A merc perhaps. Or bounty hunter. Not much difference. But the dark side was felt. Just not here. But alusive. As if it was everywhere but nowhere. But his death was a clear act of murder. And only a highly trained warriro could have reached him. And they do not come cheap. And only the Sith have deep enough pockets and the motive for this act.

So all roads lead to Dromund Kaas. One way or the other.

Salen(the Doctor)-30-Jedi Master

Salen walked into the room and felt a strange side of the force he hadn't felt in a longtime since he was a young sith who had just passed his trials. Then he started to walk around the room and said, "Well, the sith had something to do with this. Also I believe our shooter wasn't very skilled, the sith will be pissed. So I believe that he made himself larger than he was the south found him and hired him. So that means he/she is in two places, Dromund Kaas or Hutta." He walked over to the window and saw the hole in it and motioned for Shira to come see it. "We are dealing with some kind of lackey. But a strong sith is behind this, so only one place for a sith Dromund Kaas. We both know we cant take the padawans there, they would be felt the second they set foot on the planet. So either both of us would have to go or I will go, I make best sith here. Considering I was one at some point, I should do it." Whispered Salen making sure no one overheard the conversation.

Jecht Cath
Kaas City

Jecht's doors slid open as he approached them, allowing him to enter his dark, musky quarters within the Temple. He entered, observing it. Dirty, things strewn everywhere, he cared not for it. On a shelf, a saber, the hilt identical to the one that he had on his hip already. He sighed, taking it, and turning it on. The pillar of crimson rose from the blade, as he twirled it in his hand. "Good as new, it seems." He sneered, talking to himself. The pillar retreated back into the hilt of his saber, as he clipped it on his belt. He turned to his bed. On it, a robe. Long, black, with a hood. He reached down, grabbing it, and slipped it on over his metallic armor.

The robe reached down to his ankles. He left it open, showing his metallic breastplate. His hood was down, showing his red hair and re-breather, as well as the markings of the Sith on his face. He uttered, "The Force shall free me," as he looked about his quarters, before leaving them. He glanced at the people in the corridor, glaring at those he viewed as inferior, as he exited the temple. He quickly stepped down the stairs, and onto the streets. He walked down them, and into a back alley. It was clear a man had been tailing him, and this is where they would have their final encounter, before Cath killed him.

Jecht turned as the man walked into the back alley. The look on his face, quite surprised to see that Cath had known he was tailing him. He stepped forward, dressed in black. His face was not visible. The man's hand moved towards his hip, as he withdrew the hilt of a lightsaber. Jecht spoke, in a hostile tone. "So, you've come to challenge me? A marauder? Of great power in the force, fueled by rage?" Jecht smirked, as the man nodded. "I seek a challenge," he replied. Jecht took out his own two lightsabers, turning them on. The crimson pillars shone in the dark alley. He nodded, taking battle stance.

"Take your best shot, fool," he said, smiling, "because it will be your very last." Jecht roared, the force fueling him with rage, as the man charged at him, swinging his lightsaber. Jecht's left saber met his saber, making a clashing noise, as the man swung his saber to the right, and then to the left. Jecht's saber met his every blow. They were locked in combat. The man raised his saber overhead, and quickly swung it down, as Jecht crossed his sabers into an "X" formation, and met his in a block. Cath brought his knee forward, hitting the man in the crotch. He dropped his saber, it hitting the floor, as he was brought to his knees.

"Mercy!" He groaned, holding his crotch. "I plead, mercy! You have bested me!" Jecht shook his head, sighing, and kneeling down. "You are not Sith," he said, shoving his two sabers through the man's chest. He shouted, shrieked, letting out a cry of pain as he died. Jecht disarmed his blades, taking the man's fallen saber for himself. A trophy of the kill, the kill of a challenger. He laughed, leaving the dark alley, as five men and women stared at him, crowding around the roar and shriek. He brought his hood up, walking down the street, and towards the temple, to take the saber and put it on his shelf of trophy kills.

Maghrl
Chancellor's Quarters, Coruscant

After receiving his assignment from Shira, Maghrl immediately headed for the Chancellor's quarters. He was glad to be given a job that involved searching for something. Squib were excellent at finding hidden treasures. And also junk. They were also great at identifying fakes and details about objects. Squibs did that simply by rubbing the object against their fur, which was acted as an Olfactory sense organ. Upon arriving at the office, Maghrl immediately scanned for anything that didn't belong.

One of the first things he noticed was some blast marks against the wall. Maghrl walked up to it and rubbed it with his paw. It was obviously from a standard blaster pistol, but Maghrl could not tell the make of the gun from just that. It obviously would have been accounted for already by the Republic authorities, so he moved on to look around the room some more. Besides the blast marks, the assassin had done professional grade work. They had somehow made their way into the Chancellor's office, to kill him without even being caught. Very few could afford such high grade assassins. If it had been an Imperial assassin, they could have been any species from the Chiss, to the Rattataki. Maghrl began sniffing with his powerful nose for any scents that were out of place. He only could smell the scents of blaster burns, blood, and the city.

Then something caught Maghrl's eyes...

"That's strange...." Maghrl muttered in Squibban. He had noticed a disabled droid. It looked like a sweeper droid had been kicked into a corner, with it's 'eye' facing towards the center of the room. Padding over to it, Maghrl picked it up and examined the damaged droid. Running his digits over every part of the droid, Maghrl quickly assessed it's condition. While its outer casing was dented and wrecked, most of the internal systems were relatively undamaged. That included it's memory. Maghrl crouched and set the droid back down on the floor. He shrugged off his backpack and placed it on the ground next to him. Maghrl then began fishing through the bag for the tools he needed to open up the droid and find its memory, in whatever format it was stored. Normally, he would only need to plug a datapad into a port, but that had been smashed into a mess of wires and plastics.

It only took Maghrl a few seconds to access the memory core of the small robot. He downloaded the data directly into a datapad, and placed all of the things back into his backpack after reassembling the droid. Then Maghrl went back to trying to find anything strange, but wasn't having much luck. Most evidence was extremely obvious, but useless. Maghrl still wrote down anything that he found in his datapad, before moving on to the next things. He moved around the room rapidly, only spending a few seconds on anything that caught his eye. That time was still more than enough for him to gather the information he needed from the objects.

5 hours until arrival

I wake up early in the morning "It appears we are almost there" I say with complete disregard to my sleeping padawan. After realizing my blunder I decide to go and verify our status with the captain but this time I leave with digression. "Good morning Master Jedi" says the Captain with much excitement, "Good Morning Captain way what is our arrival time?" Appearing Unsure he reply's "we should be entering air space in about 4 hours" Pleased with the news I couldn't help but smiling "Ah Excellent thank you captain I will come back to check up when we land" as the captain and I exchange glances I head back to my cabin to share the news with my padawan.

When I get back to the cabin I find my padawan awake, but it is clear she has just awoke. "Where have you been?" she asks while washing her face. "I was talking to the captain he says we should be there in 4 hours" with absoulutly no sign of excitement she groans then says "This trip is taking forever how am I supposed to wait 4 hours!". Be patient we will be there when the time comes in the mean time just get your bags packed and meditate until we arrive".

4 Hours latter

"Master Jedi please prepare for landing"The loud intercom got everyone's attention on bored the ship. "You heard the captain were in friendly air space" I say with excitement, but my optimism is greeted with a more monotone reply "Yeah Yeah I heard". "Try to contain your self padawan I know your excited its your first time visiting the capital" said in a very sarcastic tone. "Look im not excited for this anymore then you are but a jobs a job so lets hurry up and finish this the sooner we're off the planet the better". I can sense her annoyance, but I can understand it as well. Suddenly the conversation is briefly interrupted by a Intercom message "Master Jedi please report to the ships hanger" "We can talk about this later now its time to go".

Jekyll Javen
Taris, Rear Operating Base

The Sith Empire was once again mobilizing for another offensive. It could be expected with the death of the Republic Supreme Chancellor. Whether the move was wise Jekyll had yet to decide. The assassination definitely presented a symbolic weakness but what it a practical one. Drumming his fingers on his desk and watching the monitors before him, he decided it was time to close up shop for now. The Dark Council had summoned him to back to Dromund Kaas which he could not ignore. With plans to open up hostilities once again, they would need his services. Jekyll switched off the equipment and ordered his personal X-70B Phantom prepped. His faction within Imperial Intelligence controlled a number of ships for operations. None of which were capable of fighting a pitched battle but it maneuvered his people around the galaxy well enough.

A squad of elite Sith paramilitary commandos dressed in black fatigues awaited him at the landing pad. He ordered them to set a course for the Sith capital and retired to his quarters.

Dromund Kaas

No welcoming party greeted Jekyll when he touched down in Kaas City. That was for the best for many welcoming parties did not have benevolent intentions. Immediately he made his way to the Citadel.

Shira Dano-24-Jedi Knight
Salen was right. He is a former Sith but he is also a well known traitor to the Empire. I was not so sure he could get within 10 parsecs of Sith space and not be found out. The Battle at Ziost did not leave him any Sith allies. And in the years sense he has grown in the light side a great deal. Truth was he was no longer a Sith. He is a Jedi. And I suspect that his motives are more, personal than the investigation. Perhaps he wants to confront Lord Vurk or even...Revage? No he must be dead. After this long and no sight. But the tremor in the force I felt. It was familier yet....alien...as if from someone I knew long ago but lost touch with. Could it be that Revage is still alive? Is that why Salen wants to go to seek him out? Confront him? I decided to try and talk him out. I whispered in a low voice even though we were the only ones in the room.

"Salen, the days of you being a Sith are over. The Empire has been looking for you for five years and the Force around you is that of a Jedi. I do not believe you will be able to rejoin Sith Ranks to spy on them as if nothing has happened. I suggest we take what we have learned to the authorities and then report to the Council. Soon we will be leading Fleets and Armies against the Empire anyways."

As I finished speaking Monghrl appeared as if from nowhere but I had felt him in the force. I stopped and saw him with a datapad and I bent down to take it and examine. What I saw was not much. A holovid appeared after I put the data into a holovid. We saw an armoured bounty hunter kill the Chancellor. That was it. The video did not seem to give us a face or anything to work with but it was clear the bounty hunter was skilled and must have been hired by the Empire. I then thanked Monghrl and told him how he had done an excellent job. But I need to get this vid to the authorities. But as I left I turned and spoke to Salen.

"Think about what we discussed."

I then led Monghrl out again and as we walked we came across Neeva and she had interviewed a dozen people but insisted all she could find out is that nobody saw anyone come in.

"Well, that is a clue in of itself. The absense of evidence is evidence that this is a professional. And he covers his tracks well. Monghrl, Neeva you both did an excellent job. Now as soon as I turn this over I will inform the council of our progress. You may both take the day off. You deserve it. Go traim, meditate or just be a tourist. But make sure to keep your comm link on so I can get in touch with you. It just makes things easier. Now, I have to take care of business."

I then hurried off as I clutched the evidence. I knew Monghrl would have fun for today and Neeva would likely meditate or train. Maybe even visit a library. I only hoped Monghrl did not get himself into trouble.

Dromund Kaas

Dark Citadel

Darth Krujas sat mediating within the Command Center of the both the meeting place of what was originally the twelve most powerful and influential sith within the entire empire and heart and nerve center of the Imperial High Command; It was but a handful of days until the forces the Empire was assembling would be complete and then the Fleet would be sent into action.

He was given quarters within the citadel although he rarely ventured within them; much more often he was out within the main room looking over the individuals scurrying around the command center or reading over intelligence reports and Listening to Admirals guess about possible republic fleet strengths and strategies.

The Empire like the Repulbic had in the Years since the treaty had been preparing for the day when the war would resume; the buildup of the fleet and army; The Massive expenditures upon dooms day weapons and any bit of technology that might benefit the empire’s warriors. It had all been leading to this, this moment, this day when the Empire would finally return to war and wipe the pathetic republic from the face of this galaxy and take its rightful place as supreme rulers of the known galaxy and perhaps beyond someday.

No more skirmishes or isolated battles; The Empire and the Republic like it were veering towards the inevitable conclusion of the Republic’s and the Empire’s supposed multiple violations of the treaty of Curoscant. The coming war would be brutal, bloody and massive some within the Imperial and Republic High Command and Intelligence communities even though it would bring about an end to civilized society completely.

When Krujas wasn’t mediating and strengthening both his body and connection to the force as he slowly fed his rage and built upon his strength for the coming battles; He was scanning intelligence reports and meeting with senior officers.

As his eyes flicked open as he glanced at a report a subornate had left during his mediation he was surprised to find yet another Intelignece agent was scheduled to meet with him later in the day; He hadn’t heard of this Jekyll Javen before but given that had been assigned to a backwater like Taris no was surprise but given the Republic presence there he might have some insight into possible outer rim and mid rim tactics so Krujas would meet with Javen.

A wave of pure blood lust was radiating from the Sith Lord; he had been focusing upon his inner rage, his desire for conquest and domination and he had been feeding it since his being given this assignment and while certain things had come along that might distract other Sith; Krujas was first and foremost a Weapon for his beloved Empire; He had never lost sight in the Empire, Never lost sight in the ideology that The force did grant superiority,
Did grant him superiority over Organic and Non Organic life alike that didn’t possess the connection. And while the Empire did occasionally falter he had never lost faith in it, nor himself but most of all he had never lost faith in the Darkside.

He commanded the Darkside like the Dark Council commanded him and the Emperor commanded the Dark Council.

Jecht Cath
Dromund Kaas

Jecht briskly walked down the path, his black hood up, and his hooded robe flowing in the wind. As he stepped past the cantina that he had once ordered a drink from, a dark figure emerged from the alley behind him. This figure, clothed in black robes, was older than Jecht. Cath had sensed him, and indeed, he was force sensitive. The man met his pace, walking beside him, and matching his uniform, only, he was masked. Jecht's re-breather was the only thing hiding his identity, though he could fully mask himself if need be. He glanced over, without moving his head, and nodded slowly, as the briskly exited Kaas City, and entered the fields of Dromund Kaas.

Both of the men turned to meet each others gazes, and then, briskly, grasped each others hands, in a sign of some, Sith manipulated type of friendship. Indeed, this man was his master, as he had recognized. Jecht's master slowly took off his helmet, setting it on the ground, and nodding. "Cath," he said, a sly smirk forming on his face, "indeed, it has been weeks." Cath nodded back to his Master, "My apologies for not getting to you sooner, Master Ondor, however I was busied with the affairs of petty Sith, as well as the affairs of the force." Jecht bowed, and the master shook his head, quickly patting his shoulder. Jecht shot up. "No need for formalities on this joyous of days." Master Ondor said, his arms outstretched.

His gaze darkened, as he focused on Jecht. "Soon, the war will begin again. The Sith, shall become dominate." Master Ondor, always adding emotion to his sentences, clenched his fist at his own mention of the war. Jecht nodded slowly, speaking, "This is joyous. I lust for the blood of the Jedi." Master Ondor smiled, clapping his hands together once. "As do I, yet our time is not yet. The wait still remains." Cath nodded, looking to the sky, and then back to his master. "But," Ondor spoke again, "we work not as a team. You are your own Sith, you are your own marauder, and you will feed off of your own rage, not my rage."

Jecht understood what he was saying in the fullest. He would be working independently. His master had thrown him into the deep end without warning, as one would do to a pup trying to learn to swim for his first time. "Indeed, I understand." He nodded slowly. Soon, however, he would rise to challenge and kill his master. Both men nodded, heading their separate ways. Jecht prepared himself for the coming battle. The resumption of the war between light and dark would feed Jecht's blood lust.

After Salen left I sighed and went to the authorities and turned in the evidence we found. My next task was to report to the council. It was as they feared. I found a room that was empty and the shut the door and layed the holographic proecter in the center of the room. As I stepped away the holograms of the Jedi Council appeard as it flickerd into existace.

"So Knight Dano, what news do you have?" Asked Satale Shan.
"It is as we feared. The evidence points to an agent of the Empire. But nothing else."
"So, we are at war then?" Asked a Togrutan Jedi Master.
"Yes." I said in a simple and flat tone.
"Very well. You have confirmed what we all expected. Your next duty is to report to the Republic and recieve your first command first thing tomorrow." Satale said in a decisive tone.
"Yes, Master. I will take command of the Republic soldiers they place under me."
"Well, it seems the Jedi are once again the defenders of the Republic and hence civilization. We will be mobilizing the entire order to aid the Republic in this time of crisis. Th Sith cannot be victorious. They will lead this galaxy into ruin and death. Jedi Council out."

The hologram faded and I picked it up and decided to head to Salen's cabin. That was a large reason why I let my Padawans have the rest of the day off. It has been a while since I last saw Salen and I wanted some time. Tell him about Aran and just pretend for a few hours we dont have to hide our feelings. It took about a half hour before I made it and before I could knock the door flew open. Of course he could sense me. I then stepped in and shut the door behind me. Then faced Salen once again behind close doors. I handed him a holovid I have been keeping on me for a long time.

"This is a holovid of everytime I saw Aran. From infancy to today. As you know he is amost five now. And lives on Alderaan. I know you need it more than I."

Salen-30-Jedi Master

Salen turned on the holovid and watched it to the end then turned it off. Salen had a pretty good idea who made the shift in the force. Then he looked at Shira and said, "You do understand that if Revage is back you cant see him till Ravage is dead right?" Then he stood up put the holovid in a drawer. Then he walked back over and kissed her, "Well I haven't seen you for the last five years in person anyway."

I returned Salen's kiss and then spoke. "I know Salen. But Aran is safe. Not even the Council knows he exists. So we dont have to worry about him right now. Do you really think its Revage?" I asked with curiosity. "Surely he must be dead right now." I have not felt his presense since the Battle of Ziost. I then turned and examined Salen. "This is not the time for us right now. We are about to go to a full scale war. We must be focused soley on the task at hand so we may return alive to each other."

I then turned to leave. But stopped just short of the door. "Once all of this is over. Once the Empire can no longer harm this galaxy. I will withdraw myself from the Jedi Order. Then our time for a family, with Aran will come. I plan to reveal my relationship with you and Aran to Satale Shan after this is all over. And when I am expelled from the order. We can pick this back up." I then left the room and went back to my quarters and waited for my padawans to return after their free day.

Seconds after we landed

I here a ringing coming from my bag as I open it to check it appears to be my com link communicator when I answer it a holo image of Master Satele pops up "Ah greetings master we just landed and we are on our". "No time for that" she says when she interrupts, "We just got word of who the assailant is". Both My padawan and I were caught off guard by the news,"Well who is it was it a Sith?" I glare at my padawan hoping she understands now is not the time for interruptions. "How did you guess? Well actually it appears to be an Imperial Agent". Of course that explains the professionalism that was done and the clean get away" Master Satele Sighs and says "Look this puts us in a state of war, we have to act fast before they can strike again, we have a Vessel that will take you to the Republic Fleet from there you will receive your further orders". "Of course Master we will be with the fleet as soon as possible", "One more thing I would like you to work with the other Jedi Masters and Knights we have sent already the Republic Commanders will get you accustomed" "May the Force be with you" "and you". As the holo fades away my padawan decides to vice her opposition, "What?! we just got here and now we have to go back" Starting to get fed up with the complaints I try to keep calm, but that was getting more tedious. "Look stopping the Empire from destroying us all is our only job and we will travel from Hoth to Taris from Dromand Kaas to Koriban no matter we wont stop until the people of the Republic are safe and that wont be an over night endevour now do I make myself clear or do I have to explain my self again?" after letting out a long groan she says "Yes sir". Pleased with the response I lead us to the hanger with our ship awaiting our arrival.

Republic Transport Hanger 5

I gaze upon the ship to my surprise it is a relativity newer model made for troop transportation worlds with a track record of severe weather. Inside we find a squad of republic soldiers I look to my right at my padawan, but she gives me a look of dismay deep inside I understood her annoyance with the whole situation but what can we do. We walk further in and take our seats it will be a 5 hour trip, but that's 5 hours to myself time to ponder the weeks events, time to meditate the stress away, time that could end very soon. Given the republics status today we were all stressed, nervous, and anxious nobody wanted a war, but nobody wanted this to go unpunished. "Was the price of this worth it were just throwing away lives", this is the thought that's haunts me. After an hour of exploring this fear of war I forgot what the alternative was, an alternative no Jedi will ever let happen, billions killed in a genocide, the rest enslaved, and a destroyed Jedi Order no that's not going to happen I will die before I would ever let that happen. After making peace with my conscience I decide I should rest. I look to my padawan and say "Hey wake me up when we arrive", she greets my response with a nod after that I close my eyes and dose off.

Galactic war flashback

I was only a Knight at the time serving as a medic on the fleet, all I can remember is the pain and suffering the troops and Jedi endured I was horrified the images haunted me, but there was one story that haunted me it still haunts my to this day, "One day a special forces squad was saved from captivity, and as the medic I had to treat there torture wounds there were only 3 surrvivours the rest were beheaded by the Sith Lord in charge of interrogation. There stories scared me were the Sith really that merciless?, how could a intelligent being take anthers life? Well I can say progression in the war answered one of my questions, but left the other one lingering and to this day I know that question will never be answered.

"Yes, I do believe it Ravage. We both know its hard to kill a sith unless you do it yourself. He thought he got us several times but didn't and he will come back once again. Shira, what are the odds of us both returning alive? I have to command the 7th and I doubt that they will be paired up. Lets face it, we may both come back. But one of us may not-." Then she left the room. Salen got up and went to her quarters to finish the conversation. "As I was saying, I believe my brother might have some part in this. But he has been dead for some time or at least I thought. But when this is all over, we are going to Naboo." Then he walked out of the room and two his quarters, and there he took out his sith armor and stared at it.

Republic Fleet Jedi hanger bay

"Wake up Master were here" I had been woken up by my padawan to my amazement I had slept through the entire flight. When I got up we were already landing in the hanger bay, it had been years since I was on this ship "So much has changed since I was last here its incredible". We hear the ships pilot through the intercom "Okay guys your good to go report to your designated sectors". All the sudden the ships ramp opens and the door is opened, we allow the squad to get out first it appears that they will be stationed in the fleet. As the last trooper gets off we grab our bags and head off the ship, the commander we were supposed to meet with is in his office on the South part of the ship, but they never did tell us where to go or who HE even is. "Well ill call Master Satele for the information we need" all the sudden we here a voice "That wont be necessary Master Jedi, I was sent to escort you to the Commander" The person behind the voice was a Female human she had Implants and was wearing Republic Trooper Armor "Im sorry that was a little rude let me introduce myself, My name Lt. Kai Molan I am one of the commanders assistants/body guards". "Hello Lieutenant Molan, my name as I assume you know is Jamal Omar and this is my Padawan Chir`da" Chir' da nods and says hi. There was one thing that caught me off guard about the whole thing why is an elite special forces trooper playing body guard for a Commander is the Republics leadership that paranoid, but that is understandable after all the supreme chancellor was just murdered in broad daylight "Lets go see the commander im sure your anxious to get started here" and so we head off to the commanders office.

Maghrl
Coruscant

Maghrl was enjoying the day off by visiting the largest market on Coruscant. It wasn't a huge distance away, but it took him a few hours walking through Coruscant to arrive. That included walking through Black Sun controlled sections of the lower city where paths didn't exist on the uppermost level. Luckily, no one had threatened him, probably guessing that he was a Jedi based on his clothing. He was too anxious to haggle with someone. Maybe there would even be a Squib trader there? It had been quite a while since he had last seen a member of his own species, and had mostly associated with Humans or other species that were near-human. Maghrl was growing more anxious as he neared the market, finding it hard to maintain his composure.

Maghrl personally did not like Galactic city. It stank too much of industry and urban life for his tastes; He preferred open areas like on Tython. He had loved exploring Tython's ancient ruins and wilderness, despite the dangerous Flesh-Raiders. The Flesh-raiders were strange. They didn't seem to be very sentient, but they were organized into groups and had language. They were a pain to the Jedi as they killed anyone they came across, making exploration of Tython dangerous. Maghrl had never been caught by one however, due to the fact he was faster than they ever were. He always sensed them coming and ran off before he would even be seen. Maghrl was sure that his master either didn't know about his occasional excursions out of the area considered safe by the Jedi, or that she had never mentioned anything about it because she was OK with it.

Arriving at the Market, Maghrl was pleasantly surprised to see a Squib trader in the market that he actually knew from when he was a fuzzling. It was his friend Sligh. Maghrl hadn't seen him for years, not since joining the Jedi Order. Sligh was a bit smaller than Maghrl, with blue fur and brown eyes. Maghrl dashed over to his stall and waved a greeting. In Squibban he said. "It is good to see you again, my friend. It has been much too long!"
"I heard you joined the Jedi, Maghrl. From your attire I see that is true!"
Maghrl nodded to his friend, a big grin on his face. "Yes, Sligh. I did join the Jedi. I miss exploring Skorr II with you though. It was incredibly fun!" After a brief pause, he continued. "So what are you selling, my old friend?"
Sligh grinned and did a sweeping gesture to everything laid out in his stall. "Anything that I have found!"

Maghrl picked out several items that he wanted, mostly droid parts, a blaster pistol, and what seemed to be a focus for a lightsaber. The two squibs gained a serious expression at roughly the same time, before beginning their haggling for the final price. The haggling was a furious pace of Squibban, and many visitors to the market gathered to watch the proceedings. Most of them had never seen Squibs haggle before, so two of them haggling was amazing to most non-Squibs. The furious pace of the conversation was confusing, and it wasn't obvious who was 'winning'. After nearly an hour of haggling, the two Squibs had settled on a price that made both happy. That was a Squib's goal in haggling, making both parties happy in the end.

"So you moved to Coruscant?" Maghrl asked his friend as he placed items in his bag.

"Yes, Maghrl. After I was no longer a fuzzling, I moved off-world to Coruscant to set up my own trading company! Sligh's Bots and Bolts!" Sligh's eyes were bright and excited.

"Great for you! I wish you all the luck in the galaxy with your business!" A brief pause as Maghrl checked the time. "Oh! I must go, friend! My master is waiting for me to return!"

Sligh frowned for a second, but then went back to grinning. "It was great to meet you again Maghrl. Please look me up next time you visit the Galactic City. We can get some drinks or something! And possibly haggle some more! I missed having such a worthy haggling partner!"

Maghrl nodded. "Me as well. Most humans only know Basic, which makes it difficult for me to haggle with them due to my less than perfect Basic. Well, Farewell my friend. I hope that I can meet you again sometime."

Maghrl departed after that, padding back in the direction of the place the Jedi were staying. He hummed a Squib folk song, really excited to have met a good, old friend. His distraction by the nostalgia nearly got him knocked out, as a drunk Black Sun thug had sneaked up behind him. Right as the man haphazardly swung a pipe at him, Maghrl sensed him and jumped out of the way, drawing his lightsaber and igniting it, then turning it off when he saw who it was. "Best not to mess with Jedi, Friend." He said in his heavily accented Basic. The man didn't seem to understand Maghrl in his drunken state, and shouted something about being a Black Sun member. Maghrl shook his head, then begun levitating several pieces of debris, silently showing his abilities. The man still didn't understand, and threateningly strode towards the Squib padawan.

Maghrl sighed again, and threw several of pieces of the debris and the man using the force to scare him off. He somehow hit the man directly in the forehead with a rock, and the man crumbled to the ground. Maghrl watched him for a second, and saw him still breathing. The rock had just knocked him out, and had barely left a mark. Maghrl sighed, and continued on his way, arriving back at his destination within a few hours.
