Urumqi, North-Western China

The tramp of marching Russian boots filled the streets and alleyways of the major trade city of the Qing, and Dimitrov wiped his brow with the back of his sleeve. The long columns of marching men seemed endless to him, and these chill steppes were achingly familiar like his homeland near the Urals. All the same, the Tsar wanted him here, and his pay was very good indeed. Men sang as they trudged along, and even the battle of the day before seemed to have left them unfazed.

Darkhan, Russian Mongolia

Shots rang about Yuri's head, and he blazed with his Mosin again at the fleeing Qing forces. This was the last front of resistance against the Khan and the Tsar's men, and the retreating Chinese had been bloodied and sent home with their tails between their legs. Mongolia had been under the Russian thumb for months now, but at last the final vestiges of the former occupiers had been expunged. The benevolent rule of Imperial Russia had now come to Mongolia fully, and the land would prosper beneath the loving gaze of his Majesty Nicholas II.

Harbin, North-Eastern China

Cheers filled the streets, and many Russian heads sprouted amongst those of the locals as the Tsar's men paraded triumphantly through the capital of Heilonjang Province, now to join the Russian Empire. A few shots were barely audible in the distance as the Qing forces were driven back south and west towards the waiting Japanese line, but Heilonjang was now free of the Qing.

London, British Empire
King George sipped some tea from India as he planned his war against the Germans. His troops were moving into all but 2 German Colonies and his navies were raiding German Shipping Lines. But George was low on troops to use as the British Army numbered only 800,000. So George decided to take 100,000 men from India, leaving 75,000 there, 30,000 from the Middle East, leaving 50,000, and had 50,000 more in Great Britain itself armed. The 200,000 men from the colonies would be transported to the Channel. Then George sent out his economic advisers to Italy and some to the British colonies to oversee industrial and economic build up. And meanwhile in India...........

Imperial Line, British India, British Empire
General William Warwick counted out 10 pounds and handed it to a worker. The worker took the money and slipped it in his pocket and got back to work. Today was payday for the workers and soldiers building and defending the Imperial Line in India. Much money, time, and labour was going into building this legendary modern defense system. The Imperial Line in British India had seen much work since its construction began and now stretched the entire length. It had some forts, trenches, and rivers to defend the Mountainous terrain of modern day Pakistan. Built in front of the Indus Ganges Valley it was a great example of the British Industrial Power. But it would be much longer before it would be fully completed. But once finished it would be the one of the greatest defensive fortifications in the world. Meanwhile in South Africa.......

Cape Town, British South Africa
The banging of hammers and the sawing of wood could be heard in Cape Town, Capital of British South Africa. South Africa was very important for the British and was under the eye for the Economic Reform Act. British Economic officials had been sent to South Africa to oversee the improvement of the industrial complex in South Africa and to see the building of plantations, improvement of the natural resource industry and population growth. South Africa had mainly basic industry but the crown and parliament wanted to improve on that. And while this was going on Capitalist Investors had been building farms and plantations themselves as well as building dockyards to make ships and repair them. And after South Africa India and many other British colonies such as Australia and New Zealand would receive the same attention.

Quazvin, Aloysian Persia

The thick chug-chug of the four Salmson engines filled the ears of Flight Engineer Leudast as he scrambled his way back to the large bay of the Ilya Muromets. His plane, one of five, was flying high over the city below. It was noon, and the sun overhead picked out the shadows of the great aircraft as they passed over the defensive works of the Persian defenders. Explosions blossomed below from artillery descending upon the enemy lines, and Leudast's scruffy face split in a smile. A barked order came back from the pilot; they were more or less over their target. Along with a man specifically trained for the task, the engineer heaved the large 100kg munitions along a greased runway after releasing the chocks, and out of a covered hatch on the underside of the Muromets. The black explosive devices fell one after another as the flight of Russian aeroplanes circled over the point of attack upon the Persian rear lines. As the forward trenches were pounded by artillery, these explosives fell upon communications trenches and command posts. Only four of the bombers had black specks falling from beneath them- one only carried observers of this first operation for Imperial Russia- but the effects were clear. The bombs were far larger than anything artillery could throw, and fell on relatively unfortified postions; men scattered in dismay and flew through the air like pieces of chaff.

Ere long the Muromets turned for home, and the attack went forward below. Within a day the defensive line had been utterly shattered. Quazvin had fallen.

Semnan, Aloysian Persia

The battle had been long and bloody, but with only a tithe of the Persian army able to face the Tsar's forces the enemy had been at last beaten and sent fleeing towards Tehran in the west. The city was occupied by the eastern Russian forces.

Konya, Ottoman Empire

Crash. Explosions blossomed like flowers amongst the skirmish lines of the advancing warlord's troops, and men broke and fled like water smashing into a rock. Here in the south the Ottomans had not learnt the folly of unsupported infantry, and Russian machine-guns and howitzers made them pay in blood for their ignorance. Only when the field had been abandoned by the foolhardy foe did the Tsar's men move forward against the city, which fell rapidly, much like much of the Ottoman Empire. Only Urfa and Adana remained unoccupied in the former Ottoman dominions in Asia Minor, and though the Italian presence along the Mediterranean coast chafed at the Russian commander, for now it would have to be borne.

Trondheim, Swedish-Occupied Norway

The city rang with bells and cheers as the last Swedish occupiers formally surrendered to the Tsar's commander in the region. A large pompous man, King Haakon VII of Norway, stood alongside his Russian allies and smiled and waved at the populace. Norway would slowly be peeled from under the Swedish boot, and now the main force of Imperial Russia marched on Oslo from the north.

To Basileus Georgios I, King of the Hellenes
We have seen the growing conflagration of the Balkans and watched it with concern; your appeals touch our Christian nature, and cause us to wish the best for your people. Instability in the region of the Hellenes and the Balkans serves our Imperial Will not at all, and so we shall take measures to ameliorate our concerns about this area, your area. Imperial Russia now wars too against the state of Socialist Romania, though we cannot govern the actions of our brother sovereign of the British Empire. Any negotiations as to their involvement in your conflict must be made with our brother King George, for we have no more control of his decisions than any other man. We wish you godspeed.
By the Grace of God, His Imperial Majesty Tsar Nicholas Romanov II, Autocrat of all the Russians

To whom it may concern within the government of Romania,
We have judged your actions and intents in regards to the continued conflict in the Balkan region and found them wanting. As of this day the Russian Empire considers itself to be in a state of war with Socialist Romania, pursuant to the continued instability of the region in which Socialist Romania resides. We shall take such actions, both military and economic, as we deem necessary to redress this state of affairs.
By the Grace of God, His Imperial Majesty Tsar Nicholas Romanov II, Autocrat of all the Russians

To our brother monarch, King George the Fifth of the British Empire
Word has come to our ears via the lips of merchants of your dominion that our brother would be inclined to offer industrial aid to the Russian people in the form of apprenticeships under the great industrialists and artisans of our brother's dominion. If such be the case, we thank you for such a consideration, and will gladly pay generous sums to any of the British Empire's subjects that would host such an apprenticeship.

London, British Empire
King George read the letter of his cousin, Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. He smiled and wrote his response. But George had more pressing matters to look to. 250,000 men were sailing for the English Channel to help the French Army against the Germans. George also had 50,000 conscripts raised in England and Scotland and he had his military engineers begin to invest their research in armoured vehicles and heavier offensive tactics. George was also preparing the 150 ships of the Home fleet for invasion. And around the entire empire hundreds of ships were ordered and on the assembly lines. Meanwhile in Great Britain and rich Capitalist by the name of Hiram had gathered a large group of investors and began to expand and build new factories in Southern England, mainly in London and Portsmouth. The British Empire would be ready for war.

Cape Town, British South Africa
The Head Inspector of the British Industrial Society stared at the empty textile factory. He waked his cane again the machinery, all rusted and old. "Well this will never do if we want to get industry here up and running again." Said the pompous man as he fixed his top hat. "So I want new machinery ordered and at the minimum 3000 workers." His fellow investors and inspectors began to divide who would buy what and who would pay the workers and they went over where they could buy the part cheap. They also got a sample of the local cotton that would need to be grown in order to make textiles. It was good but in lower quantities and would never meet the required amount if more Cotton Plantations were not built. So 5 of the 130 investors set out to find investors willing to open up cotton plantations in South Africa. The British Industrial Rebirth was a go!

Dear Tsar Nicholas, my cousin and ally, I will take in your apprentices and help you with your industrial sectors. In exchange we would like some Russian Officers and Army Experts to help retrain the British Army into a more effective fighting force. And we would like to make another offer. We will have British Investors invest in Railroads around Russia if Russian Investors will invest in Plantations in British Africa. Sincerely King George V

The Rt. Hon. H. H. Asquith, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom,

We must seriously question the choice of your government to intervene in the conflict in the Balkans against the Hellenic Kingdom. We are shocked by this, and we would seriously suggest that you stop your involvement. We would also like to enquire as to why you have turned against your strongest ally in Europe.

The rebuilding of mexico was going well as the people was happy the war was over but the government felt a bit betrayed after the brititsh never gave them support despite them asking. Instead the popularity of the japanese skyrocketed after the civil war. The reconstruction of factories was also going well. The mexican government needed to rebuild the armed forces though so a looking Eye came to russia and the US

Olari, Russian-Romanian Border

Kuril pulled the leaden pin of his howitzer, and the piece spoke grandly, hurling a red-hot shell as part of the bombardment of hundreds towards the Romanian defenses south of the border. It was only a few miles to Bucharest, and Russian troops were in readiness and concentration for a drive against the capital of the Balkan belligerents. He smiled, even through his near deafness; it was deja vu, really, the same invasion which had occurred previously against the wayward Romanians. The Tsar maintained a standing force in the Balkans for just such an occasion, and now that host would be put to good use. The raining bombardment of shells began, and the infantrymen waited in their shallow forward trenches for the signal to advance.

Vladivostok, Russian Empire

The pinging of bars on steel rasped through the drydocks and the straining of chains was almost palpable as the Yarost, a new super-dreadnought of its own class, was slowly hauled down the slipway into the waters of the North Pacific. Men labored manfully to get it all the way into the chill sea, and cheers rang out as one of the biggest symbols of Russia's new military might entered service. She would be crewed and provisioned within the month, and more like her would join the Far East fleet slowly. Expansions to the shipyards of the heavily fortified port had paid their dividends, and many new battlecruisers, armored cruisers, and destroyers were joining the Russian armada, though the Yarost was to be the flagship.

To our brother monarch and cousin, King George the Fifth of the British Empire
We are glad such a boon can come to both of our dominions; the Minister for War, Josef Imigrav, has informed us that our new military academy outside of our possession of Moscow is now completed, and the third class of retrained officers has recently graduated. We would like to formally extend an invitation to your Majesty's officers to attend lectures and discourses at our Scarlet Academy, to learn and teach as our own officers do and grow in their understanding of the martial arts that underpin the foundations of both of our empires. As for the request for investment, we shall make a proclamation to our nobles at the next gathering of the Governing Senate; we are sure they would be obliged to undertake such an investment with such an auspicious ally. The denizens and men of means of the British Empire are, of course, free to invest as they see fit in our many railroad networks.
By the Grace of God, His Imperial Majesty Tsar Nicholas Romanov II, Autocrat of all the Russias

To the President of the United Mexican States, Antonio Gonzales
His Imperial Majesty would be happy to consider such a trade agreement; he stipulates only that such trade be conducted in francs or pounds, as opposed to pesos, but shall open the armories of the Imperial Army to your requests within reason. He hopes you understand the need to secure one's own interests, and wishes your Excellency good fortune as you strive to rehabilitate the UMS.

To our Esteemed ally, Tsar Nicholas of the Russian Empire

It has not escaped our notice that you've been building up forces again in the Balkans, however I do no come with threats, but with a question, why are you attacking the nation of Romania?

Our hold on Western Romania is firm, and only recently has it become a fully fledged duchy of Austria-Hungary, we fear your invasion could stir violence in our new territories.

As a gesture of trust, and also to avoid an uprising, we invite the Russian army to use western Romania in whatever way you see for.

Yours sincerely, Franz Josef II

To our brother monarch and ally, Emperor Franz Josef II of the Crown of Saint Stephen,
We thank you for your generous offer of passage through your dominions in the former western territories of the Roma, though we have been advised by our High General the Grand Duke that such movements are likely to be unnecessary. We ask for your forbearance of the instability in your eastern holdings; the elimination of the so-called People's Republic of Romania is a necessary evil, an ailment that must be treated quickly with harsh elixirs. Such an affront against the rule of law and the divine right of individuals such as your Majesty cannot be allowed to stand; we had thought to allow time for their people to realize the errors of trusting a bonapartist radical in their own ways, but the continued warmongering and destabilization of the Balkans that this Romanian socialist government has pursued can be borne no longer. Our Imperial Armies shall finish the task of occupying the entirety of the dominions of the Roma, and we shall then teach them the meaning of government and order.
We appreciate your decision to apprise us and our servants of potential ramifications of our decisions, but we assure you if any violence or civil unrest ensues the Russian Empire shall be ever-ready to aid the Crown of Saint Stephen in any way possible to contain such an unfortunate incident.

We ask that you stop your war with Romania and your aid of Greece. If you do not you will force our hand. This will be your one and only warning any further incursions into Romania will be seen as an act of war against us as well as aid in any shape or form to Greece. So to avoid this it would be suggest able to abandon your conquest and focus your efforts elsewhere.

The Prime Minister saw that the forces of Italy lacked an adequate number of planes. So in response to this crisis the new plane manufacturer Caproni was contacted and 130 Ca. 1 Heavy bomber airplanes were ordered along with 40 Ca.18 Observation planes. After their creation they would be sent straight to Crete to be used in the bombings of strategic locations.

The forces on the Peloponnese peninsula had fully landed and advanced on Athens while a detachment was sent to Thessaloniki to secure the city there as well. Because of the advance of the Russians to further cement the friendship between the Italians and the Romanians a letter was sent stating:

To: Romania
From: Italian Empire
We wish to further our friendship in an alliance against this new threat.

The advances into Anatolia were resumed as the men from the canceled invasion of Belgian Africa were brought to resume the campaign. So far the death total of Italian troops was at just over 7,000 men.

The fleet bringing planes to Crete was offloading the ships onto the newly made airway. There were two at each end of the island. One had 13 fighter planes and 4 scout planes while the other had 7 fighter planes, 5 dedicated bombers and 3 scout planes. With these new bases the planes would do runs on the major cities and any ships that may be unlucky enough to come within the reaches of the planes. A further 5 bombers were being shipped to each airbase along with several fighters for each as well.

The Rt. Hon. H.

Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States of America

OOC: That is not our Prime Minister and who is my greatest ally in Europe? Greece? No, France is. Also please address all letters to the King and Prime Minister.
Dear President of the United States, The British Empire wonders why you involve itself in Foreign Affairs? The United States should not risk relations in Europe to protect a small kingdom. And how was the Kingdom of Greece our greatest ally? France is our greatest ally. And Italy is invading Greece, and Italy has the support of the British Empire. Greece never was fully our ally, it was more a deal to keep the Ottomans at bay, nothing more. And I would also like to add that any United States involvement in the affairs of the British Empire and where its dominions may lay will be seen as unfavorable. We highly suggest the United States not stretch its influence to where it does not belong. We hope that God is with you and we can use diplomacy to solve this issues. But remember the United States should not risk making Europe hostile by getting into it's business. Sincerely King George V

Your Majesty, King George etc. etc. etc.

The United States of America involves itself in foreign affairs as we feel it is our duty to preserve the sovereignty and democratic rule of all nations. The Kingdom of Greece has long been your ally, never once been hostile towards another nation, and never once questioned the mighty influence you appear to once have held within it's borders. The war in the Balkans is unjust and conflict must stop now. It is as much our place to intervene in this violence as it is yours to warmonger in such a way. We too hope diplomacy can solve this issue.
Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States of America.

President A. Gonzales,

It would be the privilege of the United States of America to support a worthy nation such as yours, although we would question your plea of weapons; what gun is needed to rebuild a nation? We will gladly sign a trade agreement, and we would also like to enquiry about the building of a railroad in your nation. This would be a great resource in rebuilding your nation; and we shall offer your government free use of it, providing you do not obstruct us in where we build and how we build it.
Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States of America.

Your Majesty Basil of Greece,

It has come to the United States of America's attention that you were the instigator of this war. Whilst we shall not withdraw our promises of support during the conflict, we would ask that you issue a formal declaration of apology for your actions. The nations involved would be foolish to not accept your pledge of peace.

King George laughed at the United States response.

Dear President of the Free land of America, you would support a kingdom attempting to subjugate free slavic nations? How is this promoting democracy. And be aware that further actions in Europe will result in the closing of the Suez Canal and the Straits of Gibraltar to the United States. Europe has kept out of North America and you should follow in example not be an Imperialist nation, contradicting the Republic of the United States.

King George etc.

Our offer of aid to the Kingdom of the Hellenes was an offer of aid to an ally. Please be aware that you do not have the authority to block our passage in the Suez Canal; to do so would be in direct violation of the Convention of Constantinople, signed in 1888. It was in the interests of anti-imperialism that we offered aid to the Kingdom of the Hellenes, as it was the plan of the Balkans to divide Greece amongst themselves.

Dear President of the US, I control Gibraltar and the Suez Canal, they are part of my colonies, so I will choose who uses them and who does not. And you offering help to one of my enemies is a valid reason to block American ships. And that is after the Greece attacked the Balkan nations. Do not think that the United States can so easily try to spread its influence here. The British Empire will not stand for this. The United States is only defending an Imperialist Greek Regime. But seeing as I have not fully declared war on anyone I will cease this correspondence. But if the United States continues to involves itself in European affairs the British Empire and its allies will act.

King George etc.

The Suez Canal is not British property. The Suez Canal is international territory, as was defined by the Convention of Constantinople. It is the decision of the Khedive of Egypt as to when the Suez Canal is to be blocked, and that decision is at the majority vote of the shareholders as far as we are aware. If you did block the United States of America's usage of the Canal then the nations that signed the Convention in 1888 would have no choice but to impose diplomatic sanctions on the British Empire. Please cease your threats on the United States of America. We are not afraid of you, and shall not stand to be insulted. It is the duty of the United States of America to preserve international peace and democracy for all, and because of this we shall continue to involve ourselves in the affairs of every continent if we feel a nation'a sovereignty is being compromised. Good day.
President Woodrow Wilson.

January 1916, Presidential Palace, Caracas, Venezuela

Image

President Andre Hernandez looks out his window on a patio on top of the Presidential Palace in Caracas, while drinking his morning coffee, getting the view of the whole modern city of Caracas. Even though Venezuela is catching up with the other Western Nations, threats are still emerging. Leninist ideas exchanged from Russia are entering through the minds of people of the country, especially Hernandez's rogue rival, Jose Fernando. Another problem rises up, the high demand for Trading rights in South America, which the Venezuelan Government refused the colonial powers for any.

Despite the 100,000 strong and well-trained Military, Navy, and soon-to-be Airforce (thanks to aeroplane ideas brought from the United States by Venezuelan investors), and the fact that there are rumors of massive oil deposits off the coast, which would potentially transform Venezuela into a more modern country, the Venezuelian Republic is still at risk of tearing apart, despite winning independence from Spain in the 1700s.

Andre looks outside while sitting in his patio in the beautiful tropical sun, wondering what to do about such problems.

OOC: Hang on, 670,000 troops? I want a source that Venezuela had that many troops.
