"This place looks so expensive," Aziraphale murmured, having flashbacks to a time in his life he had long since forgotten.

"This war is unlike any other in a very long time," Lust said, "maybe even ever. The War in Hell was practice. All of the evils of the universe are crawling out of their darkest corners, evils you do not know and can not know. And all of them, though they hate each other as much as you, will attempt to consume the light at once. This is the final battle, not of your life, not of mine, but of this world's. The winner will determine the fate of existence itself, and the winner was chosen long ago.

Calliel, you will change in this war. I have come to you to check that you knew this."

Calliel paused. "I did not. What change must occur? And why to me? I am not better than any other angel. Or human." He added as an afterthought. "And how was the winner already chosen? You speak in riddles, woman."

"Of course I speak in riddles," Lust laughed, "I bring you prophecy. If I told you the plain truth, what could you change? Nothing for the better, you don't have that power. No one does now."

She stretched as a cat does, extending her torso out completely, and took a deep breath.

"You are familiar with the concept of 'total war', perhaps?" she said, "A total war is a war that cares not for the world it has been born unto. There are no civilians, no innocents, no children. Only soldiers. Everything is a blind struggle, stick to stick, rock to rock, because if you lose, if you show even the slightest hint of weakness, the enemy will destroy you in the blink of an eye. The war that consumes everything.

You don't know true war. Soon, you will. In true war, there is no military, no general. Only savagery. And that is the day I will join your side, but you will not see me but in the eyes of your comrades. That is the change coming. Are you ready for that world, Calliel?"
"Then I was fertilized and grew wise;
From a word to a word I was led to a word,
From a work to a work I was led to a work."
- Odin, Hávamál 138-141, the Poetic Edda, as translated by Dan McCoy.

I enjoy meta-humor and self-deprecation. Annoying, right?

Goodbye.

"It sounds like a lot of groups are trying to move beyond the damage he's done. How much more will he do now? It's sad. Oh, and the Tryst sounds good to me, Norack. Only a little, please. I haven't eaten a good meal since the train." Fen settled herself onto a stool and rested her elbows on the counter.

She waited for Norack to fill a glass for her, smiling quietly to herself as Lily procured her own glass. Levitation? It was a useful ability, whatever it was. "Being isolated has it's advantages. We were all so busy living our mundane lives that we never gave a second thought to the outside world. A small, very timid part of me would like to curl up under a palm frond and pretend Azazel and the Lords and Ladies were still nothing but fantasy. I suppose you two live in the thick of it and can't open up a newspaper or purchase groceries without encountering some evidence of it?"

Norack chuckled. "In the same way that a human back in the Cold War couldn't help but hear of Stalin and the threat of nuclear war. It's history and it's major. It has ramifications." he noted. "This place was quite heavily hit by Azazel's forces in the war, but the US President at the time, Clint Eastwood, gave quite a lot of aid for rebuilding. That was a large relief. They also set up a scholarship program so a lot of Hellenics study abroad in America or Britain, and then return home to apply the knowledge they've learnt. I wish they'd set up a program like that for non-humans and non-angels, like demons or orcs, but the human communities refuse."

Nightkill the Emperor wrote:Richard shrugged, looking her the current scene occurring in Adventuring Days, with a tentacled Alia "cleaning" off a priestess and a British professor. "I'll rewind slightly." Richard noted, now flipping back to an image of the hedonistic prophet lying in a bed with many minions, fast asleep.

"I'll put you in her dreams so you can interact. Tell me when you're ready to leave." He said. Ciel then found herself in Alia's dream, whatever that was.

Zark, have fun.

"Why am I not surprised?" Ciel told herself before finding herself in what was supposed to be Alia's dream.

Truth be told, during the time they were together, Alia never really spoke to Ciel regarding her dreams. She always had other things to talk about, such as the environmental problems caused by the metallurgic industry in the northern regions, or the extremely concerning matter of widespread premature ejaculation among the upper classes in Hell (There was no such problem, however much she insisted on it). And obviously, Ciel didn't really have a lot of interest in the topic, not enough to ask about it or even bring it up at some point at least.

It was because of this that she wasn't really prepared for what she saw.

It was all so... Well, for starters, it was clean. Ciel had always imagined that Alia's dreams were messy, in ways more than obvious. Now, it's not like she had never seen her best friend in pristine condition. She was still a queen, after all, and she had to act as such sometimes. And yet, it was still rather hard to imagine her not being a pervert, simply because that was Ciel's mental image of her friend. Not that it was necessarily a bad thing, mind you.

Now, also surprising was the fact that for some reason, she was clothed inside the dream, which was a relief. She didn't mind being nude back at Elfen High, with Dai, but with Richard, in the middle of an ancient battleground? It was... Odd. She wasn't there anymore, but it was still a welcome change. And then, nigh bewildering, was the fact that Alia herself was clothed. Granted it was only a simple, loose-fitting white robe, but it was still more than what she wore most of the time. Also noticeable was the fact that, at least in this dream, she had no tentacles, and for that matter her wings were absent as well. The only demonic or otherwise supernatural traits that she retained in this dream were her horns, two thin red cones protruding from her forehead and curving downwards at one fourth of their length, and her charm, which Ciel could perceive, and also ignore, by virtue of having spent a long time with her.

They both were in a garden of sorts, contained within massive walls of gold and vermilion which had on them depictions of demonkind living in harmony. The sky was still visible, however, as despite the towering boundaries limiting the garden, it had no ceiling, allowing sunlight to break through and letting one see the colorful, cloudless sky above. The garden itself was a work of art, plants and flowers of all kinds and colors present in it and arranged in intrincate patterns that only exalted their beauty. And on a clearing in the middle of the garden, perhaps symbolically, there was a circle of apple trees.

Ciel herself had appeared outside this circle, dressed in a similar way to Alia, who was inside the circle, sitting on one of the two seats of a swing that was in the middle of the circle.

"Hey, Ciel!" Alia greeted her cheerfully while swinging around. "It's been a while since I last saw you."

Ciel nodded as she approached slowly, looking all around, amazed. "...Yeah, a bit more than ten years." She replied, causing Alia to giggle.

"Only that? Time must pass differently for you, then! For me, its been over a century." The queen said, causing Ciel some surprise, though not too much. The knowledge that she was alive even after dying and being cremated as per her own wishes had such impact that the divergence of the passing of time was irrelevant.

"Well, hardly my fault. Anyway, I'd have imagined your dreams would be... Different." Ciel commented.

"Oh, that's understandable. But, you know, I get more than enough satisfaction during the day." Alia replied, winking. "It's not like I need to dream about that, too." She smiled.

"I guess that's true. What the hell is this place, anyway?" Ciel asked, sitting down on the swing next to Alia.

"Oh, this? My mother showed me this place centuries ago, when I was still a little girl, long before I was even close to acquiring Hell's crown." She explained. "Hell's Garden, they called it. Simple enough, right? My mother said that it was built as a reminder of how a place as nightmarish as Hell itself could be turned into a beautiful sight and that we, the demons, could live in perfect harmony with our environment if we so wished." She stated. "It was long since destroyed, but I still remember it, and always wanted to go back to it. I'm even thinking of building something similar, but it's a bit hard when you're the ruler of a desertic place." She giggled some more.

"Desertic place, huh? So I take it you accomplished what you told me you'd do?" Ciel asked, looking at her swinging back and forth and finding herself smiling as well. It had been a while, it really had. More so for Alia herself, but still.

Alia, for her part, looked at Ciel with puzzlement on her face. "What I told you I'd do?" She asked. Ciel looked surprised.

"Become the ruler of a more interesting place. You told me that when you died." She replied, but then smiled again. "But then, I don't blame you for forgetting. A century is a long time." There was realization now in Alia's face.

"Ah, that! Yes, I suppose I did that. I'm now the ruler of Windhoek. It's a nice city, and I'm treated as a queen, worshipped as a goddess and known as the prophet of Hentor, the lord of tentacles. Speaking of which, I'm his avatar. Look." She said, slowing down to a halt, and then, suddenly, a dozen tentacles grew from her back, in a manner that Ciel, inexplicably, could only describe as 'sexy'.

"Woah, keep that in your reality." Ciel said in response to the sudden show, leaning away from Alia, who merely giggled some more after witnessing her best friend's response.

"Oh, I wish, but an accident took a great deal of my power away a while ago. I'm still fairly well off, though. My followers are rather grateful for my gifts and teachings." She smiled in a way that left it perfectly clear what she was referring to. "But anyway, why are you even sitting there if you're not going to play?" She asked, her tentacles vanishing as she held out a hand to Ciel.

Sighing and shaking her head, Ciel, with faked reluctance, took Alia's hand, and the two of them started swinging back and forth.

"Anyway, what about you? What have you done?" Alia asked, curious. She had told her dear friend quite a bit, but hadn't really gotten anything in return, and she did want to know what had been of her.

"Well, not much. I got taken to another universe, was left stuck there, and after that a lot of things happened. I ended up in that world's version of the High, kicked Nazi butts, and fucked a guy in a wheelchair just to spite a volcanic goddess. He's my boyfriend now. He gave me fifty million euros the first time we did it, you know? I took a vacation to Malta with that, and still have more money than I think I can waste. Malta's a place that didn't exist in our world, by the way. But it was nice. Good food." Ciel said, pulling out a pair of cannolies and giving Alia one because she didn't give a fuck that it wasn't her dream. "What about you? Found anyone? A boyfriend or a girlfriend?" She asked afterwards, making sure to ask about both, because, knowing Alia, if she had one, it could be of either gender.

But Alia shook her head. "Nah. Why have one when you can have thousands?" She laughed triumphantly. "Although, I do like the attention I get from my paladin." She said afterwards, and for a moment Ciel thought she noticed the faintest red on her face. Her paladin? Maybe it was that woman she had 'cleaned' with her tongue along with the British professor. Either way she merely chuckled.

"Well, at least you're having fun." She said, and after that, they just swung back and forth in a pleasant silence that would only be broken several moments afterwards by Ciel herself. "You know, I should go back soon. I don't know how time here translates to time back in my universe, but either way, I should probably go." She said as they both slowed down.

"I understand. It was nice to see you again. But unless you plan to visit my dreams some other time, I don't want to see you soon." Alia replied jokingly.

"You got it." Ciel responded, parting hands with Alia and getting off the swing. She briefly considered just going away, but it had been such a long time since she had last seen her friend, no need to be so cold. "Ah, what the hell. Come here." She said, turning to Alia and adopting a pose that may or may not remind someone of Bane. Of course, in this case, she genuinely meant to offer a hug, and not break someone's back.

Alia, smiling, got off the swing and hugged Ciel, who had enjoyed spending some time with a long-lost friend and had no problem with rewarding her for it. Alia's intent, however, wasn't quite as innocent, as she wanted to get a feel for her friend and how much she had changed, for the best it seemed. Let us remember at this point that she was the damn prophet of Hentor.

In the middle of the hug, Alia pulled back a little and outright kissed Ciel. It was a surprise, and quite frankly it wasn't a welcome one. In the past these attempts had not been uncommon, and they had not been appreciated, most of the time anyway. But, it had been a while, so Ciel figured that she might as well let Alia have her way for a moment. What did it matter? It wasn't like Dai was watching or anything, anyway. So she waited for several moments before rudely pushing Alia away.

"Get off me, you dirty bitch. What's the big idea?" She said, though she wasn't really angry. Alia merely grinned.

"I did it for old times' sake." Was her only response. Ciel sighed and shook her head once again.

"Whatever. I'll see you when I die, I guess, if you're still around by then." She said, waving and walking away at last.

After she had walked a ways away from Alia, she looked up, unsure of how exactly this whole returning business was supposed to work, though she supposed that simply calling out would work, since Richard wasn't really anywhere for her to 'tell' him she was ready to leave already. So, that's exactly what she did.

"Hey, Richard, I'm ready to get out of here." She called out to the sky.

Ciel, upon waking up, immediately sat up and looked around. She saw Dai's lab room, along with Daisuke himself in there. She saw the wires attached to her head, as well as her breasts. And she saw the somewhat damaged door she had kicked open earlier in order to take Daisuke into the room without dropping him to open the door.

But, that wasn't enough.

Mostly ignoring Dai for now, she brushed the wires aside, and looked down at herself. Naked, as she remembered being before falling unconscious. She then tried to move her hands, and succeeded with nothing to impede it. Next she placed her hands against her face, and indeed felt the pressure, however small. Lastly she took a strand of her hair, both to look at it and to pull it, and confirmed that it was red and that she could feel the pull.

There was no doubt anymore. She was back in her body, and in full control as well. Letting out a sigh of relief, she looked at Daisuke again, before pulling him into a one armed hug without warning. She stayed like that for a while, completely silent, counting her blessings. While she trusted Yahweh, not because she trusted God, but because Richard inspred her trust, she still had her doubts about a Fae possessing her, or worse yet, doing that and convincing Dai to let himself get possessed as well, simply because it was a possibility. It was one of the reasons she decided to leave Alia so soon, the other being the information she had gotten from Yahweh.

"Yeah." She finally answered, and then went silent for a few moments more. "But I'm fine." She added afterwards. "You should research these things better before making this kind of experiments. You put us both in a lot more danger than you realize, you know?" She told him, though her tone was not accusative. Far from it, in fact. "But it's okay. Nothing happened. I'm fine, like I said, so don't worry about it anymore." She continued. "I found out a lot of things in there, by the way. Do you want to hear them now?"

Nightkill the Emperor wrote:Carry shrugged. "I'm right here, you know." he noted. "It's up to him whether he wants to stay. He obviously has quite a few issues. It could help for him to work it out here by understanding the things he experienced were in fact real, or he could take refuge in another country. It's his decision. For now, I'm going to a pub. Would you guys care to join me?" he asked, his southwestern American accent slipping into British on the word pub. He made a face. "I've been spending too many damn time in England lately, it messes up my slang."

Frederick simply shrugged. "Eh, I don't see why not. I could certainly use a drink, now that I know I'm going to fight a war again." He said, putting his hands in his coat's pockets (Well, the one hand that didn't have a cannon under it, anyway) and waited for Carry to teleport them to the bar or whatever shit he was going to do.

"Yes, yes indeed." Daisuke said, sounding relieved Ciel was OK. "What were some of the dangers? I apologise if I made an error, I tried to maximise safety the best I could."

Carry nodded, pulling out Clarent and creating a portal in the Earth. He hopped in, and they wound up at the bar Fen, Lily and Norack already were at a few posts above. Because the universe is smaller than you'd think. They landed two metres from the bartender and the stools at the bartending table, where Lily and Fen sat.

"Well, the only one that really concerned me was the possibility of having a Fae enter my body in my place, locking me out, and then, that through some trick or lie, convince you to allow yourself to suffer the same." Ciel explained. "I was told it has happened many times before, and that when someone gets taken, the Fae spread like the plague. Maybe that's part of what happened to my world, though I can't know that for sure." She said. "But no point in worrying about that now. Anyway..." She continued, proceeding to, save for her visit to Alia's dream, tell Daisuke everything. She told him about Yahweh, his main body which was unimaginably powerful and contained within Heaven, and Uriel's intent to use it. She told him about Rosalind Jameson, the prototype angel Lilith which lived within her, and her kidnapping by Uriel. And then for good measure she described to him the scene from the Fae Wars that Yahweh had shown her.

"That's more or less everything Richard told me." She concluded. "She also told me to ask you about the Gotterdammerung, though. What is it? You must know. He said you did."

Fred jumped into the portal as well, with no hesitation whatsoever, and then looked around. The sensation that everything around was different from what it had been moments ago was hardly disconcerting for him anymore. Deciding he liked the place, he sat down, before noticing something mildly odd.

"Hey, weren't you just at that school's garage?" He asked, looking at Lily, before giving a mental shrug. "Eh, whatever. I've seen weirder shit."

His arm was living proof of that, after all.

"There's still a lot of prejudice around," Lily added, "It's only been, what, fifteen years? since Hell was 'discovered' by the modern Human world? And so they're still trying to get over the whole 'people are different than just us' bit. It is disturbing and sad, though... The scholarship program sounds like a good start."

Fen's respect for both Lily and Norack had grown considerably. It's one thing to read about a war in some far-off place and quite another thing to go to that place afterwards and interact with the people who had experienced it.

She nodded in agreement with Lily's assessment. "They might refuse now, but if there are enough people behind it... well, nobody should give up just yet. Maybe it would take humans like me to open doors in America or Britain? Why are communities so set against it?"

Nationstatelandsville wrote:"Of course I speak in riddles," Lust laughed, "I bring you prophecy.

Calliel sighed. "Are you here to mock me then? Just spout riddles that dance in my mind? I admit I know nothing of such a chaotic war. But when it happens, if it happens, I will undoubtedly see it firsthand. Now, how do you of all people know prophecy?" He asked, only glancing briefly when Lust stretched, rubbing his wedding ring as a way of focus.

"Riddles," Lust hissed, "riddles can save your life. They may not, but there's a chance. A small one."

She sighed, "It has happened before, you know. Many times. An infinite number, perhaps. Worlds die and worlds are born again; the inescapable circle of life. But there's a chance, a single point in which time can be changed. It's never been done before, but if there's one man who can-"

She laughed ruefully.

"Lust," Aziraphale said, with sudden clarity, "the war. Is it... ?"

Lust answered in a language Calliel had never heard before. Aziraphale nodded solemnly, and replied in turn. He did not seem shocked by her answer, but it did have a profound effect; he turned from concern to graveness.

"Prophetess," Aziraphale said, "Who knew you had it in you?"

"Sin leads," Lust replied, "Sin guides history. We see the outcomes you do not. But he's always been unpredictable."

"I rather disagree," Aziraphale murmured, lost in thought.

"It's a private matter," Aziraphale said.

"One last thing before I go," Lust began, "You will soon return to Elfen High to find it in crisis, but also to find it ignorant of that fact. The child of Lewis Jameson - Rosalind - has been taken."

"Who would do that?" Aziraphale demanded.

"Who else? Uriel."

"But why?"

Lust smirked, "Sin is forever. It existed long before you, and will exist long after you. The same is true for myself. My brothers and I are immortal, and cannot be harmed under normal circumstances. But there are ways, in extreme conditions, in which we can die. But sin, sin can't. So it finds a new host.

I am the second Lust. The first was a name you've heard before."

"Lilith," Aziraphale realized, "Oh Lord in Heaven, Lilith. But how does that connect to Rosalind? Why is she called that?"

"Lilith," Lust continued, "was a human, once. She fell in love with Lucifer, an angel. Together, they became something else. They became Sins; Lust and Pride. And then, they had a child. A son."

"Wrath," Aziraphale said.

"Exactly," Lust nodded, "Wrath. But you knew him by a different name, a lie - 'Azazel'. That's not his birth name, of course, but one he took later on. But he was the son of Lucifer and Lilith. When Lilith was killed in the war, Azazel blamed Lucifer, and he sought vengeance for a long time. Some might say he still seeks it today, through the veil of time. This is the culmination of his anger; a clone of his mother, created in the body of a human child. He did not simply experiment on Rosalind, he bred an entirely new creature inside her.

What he did was unforgivable.

Uriel knows now. Maybe he knew the entire time. It's hard to tell with him, I have so little presence in his mind. But he knows the power the girl holds - the strength of a Sin, but none of our setbacks. She has a human mind, which Uriel can and will weaponize. He'll convert her, study her, and build an army."

"He already has an army."

"He's going to need another. He knows that."

She nodded in agreement with Lily's assessment. "They might refuse now, but if there are enough people behind it... well, nobody should give up just yet. Maybe it would take humans like me to open doors in America or Britain? Why are communities so set against it?"

"Racism." Norack pointed out. "Humans historically haven't gotten along with one another, let alone other species. Let alone species who were stated many times in their mythology to be pure evil. And when they actually went to Hell, they saw a backwards and barbaric society. Germany has troubles with its Turks - no wonder they jumped at banning demons and such. Hildegard Von Wulfbern is a famous German politician who once attended Elfen High and I think she is actually there now. She's very influential, and also very anti-demon."

Heavensgate has opened itself up to the world and has adopted a more laissez faire style economic system, but you had been in your library for most of that. We're actually a major economic hub in Hell now."

"Mmm," Aziraphale nodded, "I know, Calliel. It's been a very long time since I've been in a library. Uriel was rather fond of burning them, as you may recall."

Aziraphale rose and offered his hand to Calliel, "Earlier. Lust and I had a discussion. I can't tell you all of it, but I can tell you this - we can trust her to be on our side, but not to be dependable. She is, after all, a force of nature rather than a living creature like you or I."

Nightkill the Emperor wrote:"Yes, yes indeed." Daisuke said, sounding relieved Ciel was OK. "What were some of the dangers? I apologise if I made an error, I tried to maximise safety the best I could."

"Fuck!" Daisuke shouted at first. "Oh fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck." He continued this for a moment, before switching into Japanese, followed by Russian and French. After exhausting his linguistic expertise, he gave a sigh. "Rosalind is kidnapped. Oh God, I need to tell D. This is not good news." he rubbed his eyes. "Alright. Alright, next thing. Gotterdammerung. It's an event that- I'll just show you Crowley's speech." he sighed, turning on a video on the computer screen of Crowley explaining the event.
Nightkill the Emperor wrote:
Nationstatelandsville wrote:"Yeah, actually," D twisted around, "I've heard you bastards mumbling about it before, but you've never explained it to me. And me, I like to know things!

Googled it. That's a search engine, circa the 2000's, for you kids. And a search engine is a means of searching the Internet. And the Internet is..."

D paused for a second, "... magic!, but that's not the point. I looked it up. Now, the gods are all still kicking, excepting the Egyptians and 'Gotterdammerung' is too Nordic for them, so I can assume whatever you're going for is a bit more metaphorical. Spill."

Crowley first glanced at Fen. "New student, right. Sorry lass. I will get around to giving you what information I have in the near future, and I'm terribly sorry about all of the puzzlement you'll experience for now." He said.

Then he frowned at the actual question. "Yes, Götterdämmerung." He sighed. "Any of you wish to take this?"

Calliel frowned. "I'm afraid I haven't the daftest idea what it is."

"Same." Sanchez said.

Crowley glanced at Raphael and Carry, who stared back. They knew, but they didn't want to give the speech. And Crowley likely had the full story.

"The Götterdämmerung," he began. "was an event. It was back during the first Fae War, you see. We were losing, quite hard. The Egyptians had perished or seemingly betrayed us in Sobek's case. The Fae had surrounded us on all sides. Atlantis, the centre of the old and ancient civilisation had sunk into the waters of the deep. Civilisation itself began to collapse- and we did have civilisation then. We had governments, nations, transportation, education, all this stuff. Different from what you see now, but it was all there and advanced in its own way."

"When the dragons broke into our world and began anew their ancient war with the Lords and Ladies, while using our universe as a battlefield and the people here dammed in between, my predecessor and mentor Valaran Fixban had a plan. He worked with his own old mentor, Kronos, to recreate the universe, but this time without the Lords and Ladies and dragons. They would unexist. Or be banished off to somewhere else, away from us. And some were infused into Purgatory, becoming a part of the magical energy of the universe."

"But the recreation of this whole universe had consequences. We tried our best, but we messed some things up. During the Götterdämmerung, hell broke around us. It was pure, utter, senseless chaos. There were no laws, no sanity, no sense. It was scarring for all life who lived through it. I don't know how long we were kept in this chaos zone, since time had no meaning. When reality was restored. When it was, Fixban blocked off the memories of what had happened. History was rewritten as well, so many times in what I call the Old Times don't transfer to our current world. The mythologies of the world changed, becoming half-remembered myths. After the Götterdämmerung, we chose to withdraw largely from the human world. Fixban did well setting up the universe again. Occasionally a glitch is found, but I think he did the best he could. We removed the traces of the Götterdämmerung so other, greedier people couldn't find it and use it for their own design. But Kronos got greedy in the chaos zone, trying to build the universe for himself. So we got the Olympic pantheon to severely weaken him, almost to death. Obviously, they didn't go all the way."

"The last Götterdämmerung was a hellish, desperate attempt. Valaran was never quite the same after it. Even his use of it was imperfect- he only remade this universe, and still had to ultimately allow for those who had died before staying dead. If a perfect Götterdämmerung is found, the user could rule all of the Omniverse, as well as become a lord of death." Raphael said as Crowley had become immersed in his own thoughts. "I cannot well remember the last moments of the Fae War, for my own sanity. Even if I could, I doubt I could make sense of them. All I can remember, if I focus, is the pain. We were being rewritten, all of us. It's a miracle it went as well as it did."

Ciel listened to Crowley's speech intently, not wanting to miss a detail of something that was so important God himself told her to ask about it. When the speech ended, she let out a sigh. "And here I thought that my problems were going to cool off when I got out of the desert. Bullshit." She said. Daisuke would likely feel the arm she was hugging him with tightening around him. She noticed as well, and immediately let him go. "Sorry about that." She apologized. "Anyway, do you think that could be used for..." She started, but interrupted herself. "No, nevermind. No point in getting sentimental. What's gone should stay gone." She stood up, heading back to the room. When she returned, she was dressed and had brought along Daisuke's wheelchair.

"Anyway, I'm sure you've got a lot of things to do, so I won't bother you any longer. I've probably got stuff to do as well, now that I know this stupid war is so important." She said, picking up Dai and placing him on his wheelchair. "Do you need me to help you with something else, or...?" She left the question open ended, and waited for his response.

I know Calliel is currently keeping his kid in Brussels after what happened in Paris, and since Brussels is protected by many European militaries. If you need that, just let me know."

"Like I said, they're here," Anton replied. "Couldn't imagine a safer and more dangerous place than this school, so they'll be headed off to America soon."

"Safer and more dangerous? In a way, I suppose that's a good statement." he noted. "I'd suggest you send them off to Jasper, California if you send them anywhere at all. That place is guarded well against magic, and they have experiences with it."

Catrin wasted no time upon finding herself in a bar. And this time she managed to hold in her vomit, only turning very green before regaining her composure.

She sat down at whatever stool was nearest and open and scanned the back wall for what was there. Not as much as she expected, but...

"Ehh, fuck it. Bartender! Get me a Guinness."
