I would use the first 1, but you need to be able to mark out the parts of the galaxy and who they belong to. (Btw, Republic space (mine) would be close to the galactic core, just saying) And remwmber that every1 starts with 1 star system each.

Oh i know, i would mark the star system with a planet symbol, and i would add one in with each new inhabited star system.

I will mark out controlled space with a transparent colour of the players choosing, like this mass effect map, with different race controlled space marked thusly.

edit: Could people select their colours please. I will be taking gold.

I'd be some sort of white. Oh, and I inhabit the Sol system. So, Earth's system. (I do hold Titan. All the other planets I listed under my control are scattered about in the galaxy in random backward systems. The Confessors don't really totally colonize a system. They just take whatever one has the most minerals and then excavate everything on it turning it practically into a giant manufactory and as a central garrison post for a Legio.)

edit: I scanned both of them, my computer cleared them for me.

edit 2: Also making the transparent territory on the map is a bit of a problem, are people happy if i just make the borders and insert a name saying this is so and so's territory, ill still add in the planet symbols though.

I'll take somewhere in the habitable area (near Earth), my nation doesn't control a lot of space (we haven't taken territory outside our own system) but we're well fortified where we are. And I'll take any shade of blue.

Also, may I make some minor changes to my application? I've changed my mind about what race I want to be, but everything else will remain the same.
