For the record, Segmentia, Pretantia, and myself do not have reappearing companies (save for a very few survivors). The battle in the OP of this topic never happened in the IC, however its how its been decided to end the first episode. Aelosia will be returning she said, with the same company.

Oh joy. My company will most certainly try to screw those Thermidorians over without a doubt.
Should be fun.

Oh? How so?

Also, for Accatran. I'm debating if the Accatran Forge World should be cold, dark, and concrete everywhere, or fiery, sooty, dark, and metal everywhere.
Perhaps a little bit of both. I want Accatran to be the living definition of Grimdark.

They're all uptight and pretty uniforms, not to mention the high education of their leader. The 6th Necromundan Heavy Infantry are basically the polar opposite; bare bones uniform, mid-low literacy, little to no manners, and filled with more than their quota of 'just get 'er done'. Preferably with explosives. The company commander is quite literally a wild child, and either disregards or is ignorant of most of society's rules. For Accatran, cold, dark, sooty, metal everywhere. Grimdark. Fire is not dark. Concrete is kind of gray. But metal, especially sooty metal? Black, black, black.

Company name: The Legion of Hydraphur (Palidans of Hydraphur Chapter) 3rd Initiate Centuria
Home world: Various individual home worlds but the unit is organized from the the Legion of Hydraphur's home world Axios VII
Type of Company: Heavy Infantry, Shock Troops
Commanding Officer: Veteran Sergeant Gideon Mabus with is squad of Stern Guards
Company Motto: " To earn our place!"
Number of Guardsmen: 150 (post Evisor incursion)
Support(Weapons, vehicles, etc): Weapons: Hellguns and Carapace Armor Vehicals: None organically provided,The Chapter Master prefers the Initiates to move on foot or to take place in the tip of Imperial engagements often fighting alongside soldiers of the Imperial Guard.
Sternguards: Power armor Bolters with improved optics and Various types of ammunition

Reason the company was folded into the 27th: The Company referred to as a Centuria is used to take the best recruits the Legion of Hydraphur can muster and send them into the most violent and horrific battles to ensure only the most worthy and naturally talented warriors begin the physical process of becoming a space marine. In its last action on the planet of Elysium the Centuria was called upon to lead a head on assault of the rebellious Planetary Governor's palace. In this action all but three of the initiates was killed, the three survivors no longer part of the Centuria have gone on to ascend humanity and begin the transformation into a space marine. The new recruits of the unit are all orphans of the loyalist Imperial units on Elysium, with a majority taken from the white shield corps of the loyalist regiments. Following a long Campaign the final assault into the inner sanctum of Evisor's capital city caused the Company to be cut off and surrounded by Chaos Cultists. While the Company held the line as best they could an assault on their position by Chaos Space Marines saw them almost destroyed. If it wasn't for the actions of the Regiments Cadian Commander and the Forces of Lt. Col. Demens who arrived and helped them hold out long enough for Mabus' Squad to arrive to help drive off the Traitor assaults. In a final act of heroism the commander of the 1162nd Cadian passed off the Regimental Colors to Mabus in hopes that the regiment would be refounded on Cadia.

Miscellaneous info: The unit is not allowed to rotate back to Axios until the detachment commander deems all the survivors as worthy to become space marines. It is not uncommon for these units to be completely destroyed in their first action under the command of a space marine. The initiates of the unit are no older then 19 due to the process of becoming a space marine. Amazingly enough the unit also finds itself without any form of commissars or disciplinary officers as on the rare occasion a member of the Centuria is found wanting he is killed by his fellow initiates.

Company Commander Info:
Name: Gideon Mabus
Age: 112 Standard Terran years old, 80 of those years have been spent as a full fledged Battle Brother
Rank: Veteran Sargent
Bio: As a young child Mabus lived on a agri-world within Sub-Sector Protractis, destined to live out life as a farm hand after his destiny was changed when a Dark Elder raiding force attacked the planet. The last memory that Mabus has of his parents is his father a veteran of the PDF firing a lasgun through the door of their home before being cut down and his mother screaming as she was taken away by the male raiders. He was then shipped with other slaves to a holding camp in the capital city, his life would have been both terrible and short had it not been for the Space Marines of the Paladins of Hydraphur Chapter. As he saw the Drop pods disgorge the God Emperor's finest he felt a strange sense of calm at the scene of destruction wrought on the Dark Eldar. After being collected with other survivors by Imperial united attached to the Legion he devoted his life to becoming one of the God warriors that were his salvation as a child. After completion of his tour in a recruit Centuria he became a full fledged Brother who was noted for his extreme brutality (even by Astartes standards) when dealing with Xenos. He petitioned an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor for a tour with the legendary Deathwatch promising he would never desire to leave provided he could hunt the Dark Eldar. After a Decade of Hunting the Dark Eldar within Sub-Sector Protractis the Inquisition determined that they were no longer an threat and released him to his Chapter. Mabus has elected to keep his Deathwatch shoulder pad on his armor as a sign of his service, it contrasts brightly with the deep crimson of his armor and its gold trim. His other shoulder pad jet black except for the yellow symbol of a two headed eagle gripping a sword. He now has an undying respect for Imperial Guardsmen of the 1162nd, he has pledged an honor debt to ensure the banner of the 1162nd ends up back on Cadia. He now also considers Lt. Col. Demens the closest thing to a "friend" he has had outside of the Chapter and the Legion. He also owes the man his life as Demens killed a Chaos Marine that was about to kill him by shooting him in the head. He counts the mans humility as his greatest factor, when Mabus thanked him for saving his life and complimented him on killing a traitor Marine the man merely responded by saying " Well he should have worn a helmet."

The Sergeant stands 8' 5", with a slightly tan skin tone, Dark Brown eyes, and several scars on his face that he displays more proudly then any battle awards. He carries into battle a Power Ax and a Relic bolter with an improved Optic.
A 6.1 civilization, according to this index.

WTF is your uniform? And eight foot five? That's pretty damn tall. How's the weather up there? Also, please bold the categories.
EDIT: Uhh, Legital? Veronica is a Major, not a Colonel. On page 1 where you have the list it says that she's a Colonel. Though you might want to fix that.

Memo to Segmentum Command, concerning operations of the 27th Segmentium regiment on the Accatran forge world.

In the name of His Majesty the Omnissiah, the Adeptus Mechanicus wishes an explanation why they were neither informed of nor included in operations on the forge world of Accatran, clearly the domain of those annointed in His glorious name. As any forgeworld the council of magos of Accatran will have maintained a standing force of skitarrii at the very least, along with other assorted wargear as yet unissued to the Departemento Munitorum. Since this wargear has not yet gone through the ceremony of issuing it should be handled under more intense scrutiny by His appointed servants then usual, due to the young nature of the machine spirits within.

Consillium Laudate, segmentum obscura.

thought of the day:
Omnissiah Comodet

ahem. yes. without the garbage. why wasn't I told of a new warhammer 40k rp(instert vox-implant-noises-of-mock-anger-here ;) ), and is there the option to fit me in? (also, had to randomly pick a segmentum as I couldn't find where this Accatran is supposed to be).

Curious and industrious, PMT sharks in an FT setting.
factbook is WiP. but a basic overview of our species is below:
population (remaining, estimated) 6000
State religion: not enforced but every member of the species follows the Cult of Pas Mathéma in some fashion.
Goverment type: Council of 5 heading a technocratic fuedalist society
Govermental sovereignty: protectorate of the 44th independant legion; large independant but ceding to them for interstellar politics and trade
Military power: on an FT schale next to nothing, since our total number of starships is for now 0.

Carch, friendly anthro blue shark. got any kalamari?
... Am I the only sane scientist out here? Even if I'm Cult Mechanicus, I still count as sane given the rest of you...

well. possibly skitarii. though there are also guard regiments from planets practically under the cult mechanicus. (forgeworlds-in-all-but-name who developed into that state, rather then being actual colonies from the adeptus mechanicus and as such, are still subject to IG tithing.)

Number of Guardsmen: 320
Support (Weapons, vehicles, etc): 20 Needler Sniper Rifles,60 projectile sniper rifles,40 Long-Las rifles, 60 Plasma guns, 140 Lasguns. All have Night Reaper knives.
Uniforms: Uniform, minus the skulls(replaced with a dark gray aquilia) and no mask(only the helmet helmet, with a mouth covering black cloth that could be removed, attached to one side of the helmet). The uniform comes with dark green flak armor.
Reason the company was folded into the 27th: A failed recon mission on home planet led to being overrun by an unseen horde of Orks. Many died but a small amount made it to the spaceport in time to evacuate the planet, which was then bombarded till the surface was turned to sand.
Miscellaneous info: Many of the guardsmen are trained in infiltration/stealth and many are veteran marksman.

-Company Commander info-

Name: Constine Laevon
Age:34
Gender:Male
Rank: Veteran Sergeant
Background:He was trained to be a hunter, coming from a family of hunters, at a young age. He learned to quietly stalk his prey and kill it as quickly and efficiently as possible without wasting time.He ended up in the Imperial Guard when his planet was first invaded by Orks then visited by hostile Eldar. He is very well trained, surviving multiple battles and successfully assassinated hundreds of enemy leaders and soldiers. He was wounded when a massive ork assault overran his forward base, sending his regiment in full retreat for the capital city with the Orks on their heels. He assisted in defending the spaceport from the Ork siege long enough for the civilians to get to the ships. However, he was knocked unconscious by falling debris.A close friend dragged him to a nearby waiting ship.He awoke in time to watch the surface of his home planet be bombarded to sand to completely annihilate the Ork infestation. He later learned he was the highest ranking person among the 320 survivors, many of whom were privates and a few dozen corporals, though many were also experienced soldiers.
Physical description:A lithe yet athletic man.He suffered an odd encounter with psyker which left him with half his head covered in pure white hair and the other half with pure black hair.A scar runs along the length of his left arm, from wrist to elbow, caused during a fight with an Eldar banshee. He stands at around 5'9" and has brown eyes and no facial hair.He also has slightly tanned skin.

Consider the black uniform to be the cloth underneath the armor. The armor is flak.

I am fulfilling blanks in my post regarding the Evisor campaign. Let me know if you approve. The post is HUGE.

As:

-Alpha Legion presence in Evisor. (Typical ambush for them, from covert use of PDF operatives to remaining hiding until the imperial forces penetrated the city)
-Lividivus sent the colors to Vanhayn to be kept, as she was the next officer in line, but as she was away from the frontline in the spaceport, he gave them to Mabus to give them to her.
-Lividivus' death made Vanhayn the overall commander of the 1162nd until its disbandment, mostly during the evacuation, translation and debriefing of the remnants of the regiment. As such, she will be way more friendlier and familiar towards Bat Demens, Sergeant Mabus and Cheb Ali, who more likely got a promotion to Captain by Vanhayn, and has been asked by her for his squad to remain working alongside her as a recon/logictics small unit. More likely, she regards Demens as a friend, Mabus as a mentor-like figure, and Cheb Ali as some sort of trusted aide.
-The regiment made a stop at an armoury world, where the remnants of the 1162nd were ordered to disband and join the 27th. In said armoury world, I imagine the mechanics of the 4th Thermidor repaired most of the damaged equipment of the Cucus Nidis, the Bangalores and the Hydraphur Legion, (alongisde their own, of course).

So I guess I'll have to retcon part of my Bangalores post if any of this is to be true. And I do see Ali being rather friendly with Vanhayn, as he's loyal as a puppy and stern as an elephant.

You're obviously going to hate Pattonius by the way. Although you will still find him reliable and cooperative with superiors, he will still be bombastic and a bit of a jerk. Hope you didn't get demoted for "cowardice!"

The only person who can demote a senior officer will be the new Colonel, I imagine.

Or maybe whoever was in charge on that world the regiment travelled to for reassignment.

What will you have to retcon and why?

If he is reliable and cooperative, Vanhayn will easily tolerate him, even if he is not friendly. You don't join the army to make friends in any case, although it could happen.

And yes, I was writing about the martial process opened against Vanhayn for dereliction of duty five minutes ago :)

Yeah, sounds good, but for obvious reasons the Deathstrike and Baneblade will need to remain in disrepair. And you misspelled "Cuculus", but don't worry, I can barely remember how to spell it either.

Not even in an armoury world you could find parts for Baneblades, I think. Only highly qualified enginseers could repair them anyway, I read somewhere that only a handful of forge worlds can make them or repair them anyway, and that is why the Guard is switching to the lighter Macharius tanks. And I thought the Deathstrike was functional, only lacking ammo (which would never be assigned to a motley depleted company anyway).

Yeah, that about sums it up. The reason they have the Deathstrike and Baneblade to begin with was because they were left over from the defense of Cuculus Nidis.

Wasn't it that the baneblade was a medium tank during the great crusade or something? Coulda sworn I read that somewhere.

Sub Sector Protractis wrote:Company name: The Legion of Hydraphur (Palidans of Hydraphur Chapter) 3rd Initiate Centuria

Welcome back, Adeptus Astartes. However, to some thinking, five Marines will suffice. The rest can still be initiates. (And due to their nature, you'll get the harder placements in the missions to come)

Accepted.

Carcharhinidae primari wrote:Memo to Segmentum Command, concerning operations of the 27th Segmentium regiment on the Accatran forge world.

You can be put on a waiting list. Skittari will be fine, as we are on a Forge World.

Also, I picked Accatran as nothing is known of it except its a Forge World on the edge of the Ork Empire, near the Eye of Terror, and constantly sieged. Its utterly up to our imaginations.

Home world: Ignis.
Type of Company: Light Infantry
Commanding Officer: Veteran Sergeant Constine Laevon
Number of Guardsmen: 320
Support (Weapons, vehicles, etc): 20 Needler Sniper Rifles,60 projectile sniper rifles,40 Long-Las rifles, 60 Plasma guns, 140 Lasguns. All have Night Reaper knives.
Uniforms: Uniform, minus the skulls(replaced with a dark gray aquilia) and no mask(only the helmet helmet, with a mouth covering black cloth that could be removed, attached to one side of the helmet). The uniform comes with dark green carapace armor.

The armor is carapace but it covers only the upper body(shoulder and chest) and the thighs, since light infantry needs to be quick in movement.

Carapace is quite heavy and tiring. Light Infantry are not equipped with such. Also, the mans rank must have slipped past the first time. Veteran Sergeant is just a rank for Space Marines. (Im 95% sure.) Unless you simply mean he is a veteran, and a sergeant.

@Aelosia: In regards to the Higarans, I want to say they held the line somewhere in the city. An armor charge. Oh, the glory.

okay. though I had a stroke of luck for this one. found a forge world also known for raising IG regiments. :p
Urdesh, that place is called.
