Hmm. With the Father of Vampires, it could be Enmeshar, the one who's supposed to be the father of the Seven, who were legendary vampires in Sumerian mythology with unrivalled power and bloodlust.
Also, the Mother of Vampires would be Lamashtu. Apparently four of the Seven were female, and so the rest were male, one can deduce.

Seeing as we're jumping into Sumerian, would it not be wise for my Sumerian character to turn up, too?
Because it would make more sense for him to be a font of ancient knowledge, more so than Heinrich Kemmler.

If you want to, totally up to you , the Father of Vampires is the second oldest monster in the world(the first one is the one who changed him, she's was the one in the first post of the IC.) and is far more immuned to weaknesses that plague modern vampires today.

Indeed. The main one I'm stuck with is Sylvan high.
Otherwise, I'm doing fairly well. With Zimudar starting a fight with a character of Cont's in Dark Corners of the Earth.
Just like another RP that Cont was in, 'cept we kept trading blows between a guy wielding two enchanted broadswords who knew he couldn't kill the Sumerian guy anyway, whilst magically dodging every giant mace attack and blocking every sword stroke and magical screaming souls-black wind of death assault, whilst a wh40k freak kept trying to obliterate both of us with lascannons and insta-distintigration beams, and plasma cannons. Which we both ignored.
Heh, I'm going on a bit now.

Bio: A former hunter, he lived with his father in a remote forest. Until the day that a vampire came and slaughtered his father.
John managed to barely escape from the vampire, but he swore that he would hunt them until his end of days. To achieve his goals, he had to move to different places. First he stayed in Germany, then, after WWI, he moved to Transylvania, when the Soviet union came to Transylvania in WWII, he moved to the US and has been hunting vampires ever since.

John looked around him, debris of the broken building scattered around the place.
From a distant room he heard a person wheezing. John walked to towards the sound cautiously and saw the body of a man covered in a huge pile of bricks. John managed a smug grin and said:

"Your kind should not be allowed in this world, now, as your ancestors, you shall die in my hands!"

The vampire raised his hand

"You think that this will change my race, we will hunt each other forever, this changes nothing!

John raised his axe above the vampire's head and said

"Maybe so"Carefully, John placed his other hand on the handle of the axe"But at least another of you bloodsucking demons will be gone"

He pushed down the axe and in a split second, the head of the vampire was decapitated. John placed his axe in his back and laughed.

"Another day, another kill"

Cynical and faithful only in appearance, the many sins committed throughout his life led up to his curse by a powerful, elderly priest of God. Because he had promised to serve God and yet only served himself, Rafiq would be cursed to serve whoever summoned him from his place of stasis, an old oil lamp. The legend is that whosoever finds the lamp and rubs it with his bare hand will summon Rafiq, who is bound to the summoner until he is granted three wishes. Eventually, superstition faded and the lamp became a second-rate artifact sitting in museum closets. Then, after near a millennium in the Old World, the lamp found its way to America, where it sat in an antiques store, waiting to be found...

I'm hoping another R.P.er will come seek me out but if not I'll find some kind of plot. I think it provides some refreshing change to the other supernatural beings, in that my character is literally cosmic, but cannot freely use his powers.
