He's called Crowley by Loki. Which means it must be after 1910, or whenever Crowley took the name from Anton's grandfather.
Also, it's mentioned at (I believe) the beginning of Arc 2 that Crowley has two slave boys that appear at whim, and he's had them for hundreds of years.

Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

I would understand if he showed any hint of being vaguely like Crowley before, but it's like his entire personality curled up and died.
And? People change, often drastically, over time, especially after traumatic events. A guy as old as Crowley has probably had many such events, and even if he only somewhat changed after each one, those changed pile up.
If you take 1,000 and add 1 to it, you won't get much of a change, but do it enough times, and that number will double or triple or more.

People change, yes, but not that drastically.
If Crowley likes ice cream in 1400, he'll probably like ice cream in 2020. If Crowley is a vaguely nerdy wizard in 1400, no matter how many social skills he acquires or perversions he develops, he'll still be vaguely nerdy.

I had a friend who was vaguely nerdy in fourth grade become a sports jock in seventh grade.

And every adult clearly knows exactly who they are the minute they hit 18, correct?
How about another example: My mom used to be a biologist working in research in a medical center. Now she does acupuncture and believes in the healing power of crystals.
