The zombies in America have been all killed, and the mysterious disease has been vanquished! Everyone is full of joy as this major threat disperses.

February 16th, 1685

The American areas of Dacia revolted against Dacian rule. The people want freedom, independence. As most of The Dacian Empire's 300,000 warriors are sent to America to conquer back the areas that have exited the Empire's control. Altaan VII is clearly alarmed about the situation.

May 5th, 1685

The legendary battle of Rahayn (RL Richmond) would be remembered for centuries. The tribes and nations of Dacian America united against the huge army of Dacia. (Anyone can tell me if they participated in this, I'll edit.) The sides seemed to be very uneven, and Dacia would obviously win. But no one expected what happened next: Half of the Dacian army turned against the other, and the Dacian Empire was defeated. North America and Greenland received independence, as well as The British Isles, Scandinavia, the countries north of Belarus, including it, and Iberia. The lands we owned in New England (New York and above) remain ours.

June 17th, 1686

Altaan VII has radically changed the laws of the Dacian Empire. All men are free, and people may participate in the army at their own choice. The Dacian army, which is now made up of 200,000 soldiers, slowly decreases. Other laws regarding freedom are made, and the people like the new government.
The Empire is stable again, but Altaan hopes international relations will remain stable.

The Last century has been a turbulent time for the Empire of Cranaeia. When Alexios IV died in 1434 AD he left no heirs so his closest living relative Christian I became Emperor. Christian I was the great grandson of David XII and grand nephew of Alexios III (Haru) because his grandmother was Cleopatra Elena the sister of Alexios III.

The new ruling dynasty is a cedet branch of the The Ptolemaic-Gónoliontári Dynasty, but the Imperial Family is officially known has the Ptolemaic-Gónoliontári-Portiéri̱ or simply the House of Portiéri̱. Cranaeia and East Asia were joined under one crown for 81 years until the year 1482 when the crazed Alexios V had over 100 East Asian nobles and clergymen massacred. Following the massacre Cranaeia and East Asia went to war; the war was basically a draw. Even though Aexios the V was hated by the nobility and the church hierarchy of Cranaeia and East Asia for his attempts at lesssening the powers of the nobles, but he was beloved by the common people who saw him has a savior from the opressive nobility andd church leaders. After the war ALexios V was deposed by his popular cousin.

Hong Kong, China

Emperor Song dies in his bed from old age, making Crown Prince Shenyu of China the reigning monarch of the empire. The new emperor is given a formal coronation by the Imperial Parliament and the Church in the Anwei Cathedral in Nanjing. Because of intense family rivalry, the 2nd prince is forced to relinquish his new position of crown prince. Haruhi "Elena" Shimurazaki is announced as Crown Princess of the Empire, and her pregnancy with David of Cranaeia automatically makes the Cranaeian prince Crown Prince of the Empire.

The will of the late Emperor Song states that the upon the death of Emperor Shenyu, only Princess Haruhi shall be given full control of the Empire and only she will be the one to control the forces of the Empire. The 1st child of her union shall be the Crown heir to the Celestial Throne.

The new Emperor Shenyu decrees that the Empire be reformed as the United Imperial Federation of East Asia. This is in respect and recognition to the Japanese, Koreans, Mongols, Vietnamese, and Malays who also live within the imperial frontiers. A message is sent to all other nations confirming the name change. As a result of this, many people see that the government is no longer strictly Chinese and thus many commoners and nobility of non-Chinese origin are much more happy with the central government in Hong Kong.

Other important changes include that the central government will be splitting up to govern from several different cities. The Emperor and his ministries shall continue to reside in Hong Kong, but the Imperial Parliament will move to Nanjing and the Celestial Court will move to Beijing. The main result is that these cities grow in importance, commerce, and population.

Crown Princess Elena (Haruhi) has given birth to a healthy baby boy named Alexios, meaning that he is the heir to both the Imperial thrones of Cranaeia and China.

The Ottoman Empire had seen massive change in the past few centuries. Rising wealth and a decline in religion, secret societies bent on the destruction of the Ottoman Empire, increasing strains on resources and a weakening government had all combined to bring an end to one of the world's most illustrious civilizations. The last Ottoman Emperors were tyrannical and brutally suppressed any calls for reform, justice or accountability,with the last Ottoman Emperor, Emperor Abdulmalik killing over 600 religious scholars, political activists, prominent opposition leaders and activists and razing to the ground hundreds of villages in the countryside who actively opposed his rule. Over a number of decades, the general population became less religious and so it was easier for secret societies to work for the overhaul of the Ottoman legal code. Islamic laws protecting religious minorities were disregarded as 8000 Christians and Jews were brutally slaughtered by Reiss Harumeniyye, the warlord who ruled parts of Lebanon after the Ottoman government crumbled.


The Ottoman Empire has been reconstituted as Deroikistan also known as the Republican Federation of Nations (RFN), with its first President as Suleyman Al Tikriti. The RFN controls Turkey, the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula, North and all of Eastern Africa, as well as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho and Swaziland. All other Ottoman territories have become independent states or various fiefdoms which are not controlled by the successor to the Ottoman Empire, the RFN. The most prominent of these are the United Emirates of the Americas, Iceland, Chad, the Kingdom of Nuku-Alofa (Ottoman Pacfic including New Zealand) and the Kingdom of Angola-Namibia. The Ottoman Royal Family were almost completely wiped out after they refused to move into exile, wanting to save their nation from destruction. A few royal descendants survive, although they are unaware of their royal descent.

The RFN has moved quickly to rebuild its infrastructure, the military and police and create a new strong centralized administration. The Deroiki President, Suleyman Al Tikriti has rebuilt the foreign service and had dispatched new ambassadors to Dacia and Cranaeia, previously two of the Ottoman Empire's closest allies. The Deroiki President has reformed the legal code, removing many Islamic codes and replacing them with those chosen by the Deroiki Parliament, the first of its kind in the former Ottoman Empire. The financial codes have also been changed to allow interest in financial transactions, justifying it by stating that a small percentage of interest does not count as 'riba'. Other important acts by the Deroiki government include the nationalization of several trading guilds, the most notable being the Merchants Guild of Baghdad, deregulating the alcohol industry and the institutionalization of the separation of church and state. However, in many rural areas, Islamic law is still used by underground Islamic scholars. The Deroiki government has pushed an extensive program of secularization and nationalism, changing the national curriculum to reflect its new ideology. The Deroiki Army now stands at 100,000 men and the Paramilitary Civilian Defense Force at 15,000.

[Laval]

Laval has undergone many changes over the years. First of all, the political situation in Laval has stabilized. The government is now comprised of 3 branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Because of the policies of the new government, people are free to work, vote, and talk as they please. Due to this system- the economy of Laval has flourished. Although, the traditional cottage industry is starting to demise.

Landlords have taken over large portions of Land. They call these enclosures. This has forced many poor peasants to flock to the cities. As a result- Mycenae has received a surge of nearly 390,000 new inhabitants- many of them moving into poor slums. These people search for work. Because of the technological advances made recently, the economy is slowly upticking, but not fast enough to the demands of this movement of people. Because of this, the unemployment of Laval stands at 10.5%. However, the enclosures of the farmland has created a major side effect. A wealthy landlord recently invented the seed drill. Instead of the peasants scattering seeds around the farm, the crops are now spread evenly in well spaced lines. Due to this- the output of Lavalian farms has nearly tripled in production. Laval seems to be on the verge of a major economic turnaround.

Congress has become increasingly pro-business. They favor the ideas of well known philosophers. They call this system capitalism or "Laissez-faire". This gives business large freedoms from the government- and it's allowing the economy to rapidly grow.

The army of Laval stands at 267,000 troops- most of them in the naval forces. They now come armed with muskets and cannons. However, Congress has recently cut fundings to the armed forces by 20%. To compensate for this- local communities are organizing militias, where ordinary farmers own muskets and rifles, and can be called to arms if necessary. Due to their ready-ness, these men are called minute men.

Laval has seen the vast amount of lands become available due to political instabilities and issues in other nations. Congress is investigating colonizing small portions of other lands. Economists predict that some of these lands would yield large amounts of goods if put under Lavalian rule.

President Suleyman Al Tikriti will leave from the new Deroiki capital, Cairo to meet with the Lavalian Head of State, to reestablish strong bilateral ties and seek the formation of an alliance between the two nominally secular nations.The Deroiki government has moved in recent months to establish ties with Iceland, sending an ambassador to the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik. Iceland had managed to establish itself as a relatively small but powerful kingdom, trading extensively with the Americas and parts of Europe. Under its first King as an independent nation, it seized the Faroe Islands and established dominance over the Inuit tribes of the Arctic and Canada. The Republic of Iceland has a well-equipped, highly experienced army of 150,000 and a population of 4,000,000 people. The Icelandic government has managed to create a small colonizing naval fleet, of 200 ships, to colonize Western Africa. The Icelandic fleet arrived a few hundred miles from the Mauritanian city Nouakchott and have established a small colony which has been named Gunnarland, after the Icelandic Foreign Affairs Miniter, Abdikarim Gunnar Nesvit. The United Emirates of America controls former Ottoman territories in the Americas and has established a capital at Oklahoma City in North America and New Cordoba in South America. The United Emirates of the Americas has a total population of 2 million people and a standing army of 80,000. However, it has a highly armed population, in which all men fit for military service are members of the Civilian Defense Militia.

Alexander VIII's attempts to force the nobility to his authority have alienated many of his trusted advisors. The Emperor's reforms which resulted in greater rights for the peasantry, and better treatment for serfs on agricultural estates, have cost in the support of the nobility.

Alexander VIII was murdered in his bedroom in the Alexander Palace by a group of dismissed officers. The assasins original plan was to force Alexander to abdicate in favor of Solomon, but he refused, so the men strangled him to death. Alexander VIII's twenty eight year old son Solomon VIII has succeeded to the Imperial throne of Cranaeia in the year 1692 on the 4th day of November.

[Somali Caliphate]

President Suleyman Al Tikriti has recently ordered the decriminalisation of drinking alcohol, fornication, adultery and prostitution, stating that these activities are for the individual to decide and be judged and punished by God on the Day of Judgement. A new secret police, the Mutawwai has been established to monitor the general population for any signs of dissent. The use of Torture, which had been outlawed after the first Zeronian king embraced Islam is once again used by Deroiki security forces to obtain information from political dissidents.

President Suleyman Al Tikriti has also banned the teaching of Islam or Islamic history in educational intuitions, large gatherings, protests, membership of political parties or opposition movements. President Suleyman Al Tikriti has used 'emergency powers' to overturn the Bill of Human Rights, a document which for centuries had protected the rights of all citizens as prescribed by Islamic law. In addition, in the most important economic decision taken by any government within the former Ottoman Empire, President Suleyman Al Tikriti has inaugurated a paper currency, the Deroiki Dinar. An exchange rate of 1 Deroiki Dinar per 4 Lavalian Dollars? has been set up, to improve trade with Laval, whose former trading zone in South Africa President Al Tikriti plans on leasing to the Lavalians once again.

Cranaeia is experiancing a golden age, under Emperor Solomon VIII, who become Emperor of Craneaia in 1692. The new Cranaeian Emperor has sent ambassadors to Laval Salacaria, East Asia, Dacia, the commonwealth, and the new Deroiki nation. The new Cranaeian Emperor receives the Deroiki ambassador in the newly built 1500 room Imperial Palace (Christian III Palace).

Reforms and Economic Prosperity

When Solomon VIII became Emperor in 1692, the treasury was on the verge of bankruptcy, due to his predecessors lavish spending. To help the situation, Emperor Solomon VIII appointed Tho̱más Christodoúlou, the Dukes of Apóllo̱nas, (a member of one of Cranaeia's oldest and wealthiest family) has the first Cranaeian Prime Minister in 1696.
Tho̱más Christodoúlou reduced the national debt through more efficient taxation. The government put monopolies on certain strategic industries, such as silk manufacturing, linen manufacturing, porcelain manufacturing.

The government introduced a sweeping new poll tax, which replaced a household tax on cultivated land. The government also put taxes on on salt, honey, and vineyards. Solomon and his government also pursue proto-protectionist trade policies, placing heavy tariffs on imports and trade to maintain a favorable environment for cranaeian made goods.


Cuture and Art

Solomon VIII is the greatest patron of the arts of his time. The Cranaeian empire has become one of the richest countries in the world from mining newly found brazillian gold and diamond mines. With this endless supply of money Solomon VIII has bought some of the greatest art collections, in one single occasion, over 1000 paintings by great were taken in to the Imperial palace in New Alexandria. The Library of New Alexandria, already the greatest in the world, was greatly enlarged as was the Imperial Palace library and other libraries in the country. The Emperor insists that his ambassadors keep him informed about the state of the arts in foreign countries. The Imperial Court has decided to buy only the best art from the most renowned artists of the time. The Baroque architectural style flourishes in Cranaeia. The Imperial Palace of New Alexandria has been rebuilt in the baroque style.

Government, Society, and Serfdom
Solomon VIII has established a Table of Ranks, a formal list of ranks in the Cranaeian military, government, and Imperial court. The Table of Ranks established a complex system of titles and honorifics, each classed with a number (I to 15) denoting a specific level of service or loyalty to the Emperor

The establishment of the Table of Ranks was a direct blow to the power of the nobles which changed Cranaeian society significantly. Previously, high-ranking state positions were hereditary, but with the establishment of the Table of Ranks, anyone, including a commoner, could work their way up the bureaucratic hierarchy with sufficient hard work and skill.

Solomon VIII firmly enforced class divisions and subjugated the nobles and the serfs. Solomon VIII passed laws making it an requirement that no serf leave his master's estate without written permission. Solomon also created a new class of serfs known as state peasants, who have broader rights than ordinary serfs, but pay dues to the Imperial Government and the Emperor. Solomon VIII had planned to abolish serfdom at his acession to the throne, but his advisors convinced him that this would cause the nobles to rebel.


Church reforms

Solomon VIII itroduced sweeping church reforms that changed Cranaeia. The Church reform of Solomon VIII effectively joined church and state.

Laval is pleased to hear that the "new" nation of Deroiki has adopted secular views. We firmly believe that the separation of Church and State allows for a more free and open minded population. Laval welcomes President Suleyman Al Tikriti to Mycenae, where he will meet with President Jeffrey Cartier (Random name I just made up). The President will give Al Tikiriti a tour of the city, where due to peace and stability- is home to many ancient buildings and wonders. Then, they will have a formal meeting at the former Senate building- now where the Executive Branch rests. Laval would wish that the Derokiki nation open an embassy in Mycenae- so communications will be swifter, and any Deroiki residents in Laval be safe. Trade is also in the interests of Laval. Private enterprise is interested in your nation's vast natural resources. The coal, iron, and lead mining industries in Laval are strong, along with the timber industry. We propose that we trade resources and manufactured goods for your nations more exotic goods.

In Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, and Mycenae- people have seen a wide outbreak of fire. Due to the tightly packed living quarters- fires are allowed to spread and destroy huge sectors of cities. A famous scholar had recently opened the nations first fire department in Montreal- where they put out fires as they start. The government has taken interest in this idea, however for now has left the choice of privatizing or publicizing this service up to the city districts of Laval.

Expansion:
Congress recently approved an expansion of Lavalian territories. President Cartier signed the Washington Purchase, which will purchase the territory of Washington from the native tribes. This will give Laval access to the western coast. Laval also expands it territory north, claiming the Northern Tip of Quebec, and to the west, claiming small territories surrounding the Great Lakes and the Hudson Bay. Laval hopes to discover new resources and be able to increase the flow of trade. President Cartier also sent a fleet of ships to scout the coasts of Africa and South America, and report their findings.

Emperor Solomon VIII has sent a fleet of 10 ships with 100,000 people to colonize the Río de la Plata area. The ships landed in south america in early march in the year of our lord 1695. The Settlers have named there settlement, Saint Solomon, after the Emperor Solomon VIII and Saint Solomon, who the emperor is named after. The main purposes of the establishment of the colony is to get more raw materials for Cranaeian use and and to expand the influence of the Cranaeian Coptic Orthodox Church by mass conversion of the native population. In the first year of the colony over 500,000 natives were conveted to the Cranaeian Coptic Orthodox Church. A monk named Anastásios has founded the first monastery in the area, the monastery is called the Monastery of Saint John the baptist.

President Suleyman Al Tikriti is pleased with the Cranaeian Emperor's response and agrees to build new strong relations between the two historical allies, agreeing to restore all pacts that existed with Cranaeia during the Ottoman Period (including the military pact for a period of 5 years). President Al Tikriti has heard of reports of the Cranaeian Emperor's role in bringing about a golden age in Cranaeia and so has decided to honor the Emperor with the Deroiki Presidential Medal of Honor, awarded to the most successful and brilliant foreign statesmen who have made a large positive contribution to society. President Al Tikriti hands the Cranaeian Emperor a box filled with gifts of the latest Deroiki manufactured goods, including porcelain pottery, silk embroidered clothing as well as gold and silver. President Al Tikriti has ordered a ban on travel to or from Iceland or the United Emirates of America.

Republic of Iceland:

The Republic of Iceland continued to grow in growth, managing to grow and strengthen their colony, Gunnarland. It now had a population of 150,000 and many of the native tribes cooperated with the Icelanders, as the Icelanders had brought stability in a part of Africa destroyed by inter-tribal warfare after the demise of the Ottomans. A shared religion, Islam and the shared use of the Arabic language had also been key in winning over the majority of the natives. The Icelanders employed the natives in numerous plantations, as well as cottage industries and factories, producing goods such as silken clothing, porcelain pottery and boats.




The Republican Federation of Nations

Meanwhile, in the RFN, there was a simmering outrage against the the Deroiki Government, as President Suleyman Al Tikriti had continued the secularization of the nation, even in his absence. President Suleyman Al Tikriti had wanted to rebuild the Tower of Babel and the Hanging Gardens, both great Babylonian monuments which had collapsed after the First Ottoman Civil War, as they were ancient symbols of the Deroiki Nation. A large portrait of the Deroiki President now hung in Government House, something not seen since before Zeronian times. A statue dedicated to the President and to great Deroiki figures, such as the great admiral Piri Reiss, the famous physician Ibn Sina and the poet Ferdowsi. Although it may take several decades or even centuries to overthrow the Deroiki Goverment and restore the Ottoman Monarchy, there was no doubt that it would happen eventually if the Deroiki government did not drastically change its policies.

Although the Deroiki Government exercised full power in name, outside the Middle East, its power was significantly weaker, being mostly exercised in the form of taxation and the management of public institutions and not really affecting the private spheres of most citizens. The Deroiki Army now stood at 260,000 men and a Civilian Defense Force of 34,000.

Emperor Solomon VIII has married his first cousin, María Amélia, the heiress of a vast fortune, and the only child of Karl Viceroy of Brazil. The viceroy of Brazil is the uncle of Solomon VIII. María Amélia and Solomon VIII have been married in a proxy wedding in the brazillian city of Perseapolis. The Princess has set sail from Brazil with a royal escort headed for New Alexandria.

After a few months the Empress arrived in the harbor of New Alexandria. At her arrival Emperor Solomon VIII greeted at the harbor and dined with her in her ship. The Day after their greeting the Emperor and his new empress embarked and came ashore and went to the Timonion Palace. At around 12:30 P.m., the citizens of New Alexandria gathered in the palace square of the Timonion Palace and cheered when they saw how beautiful their new empress was. The following day Emperor Solomon VIII and María Amélia were officially married in a lavish ceremony held in the Palace church of the Imperial Palace of New Alexandria (Christian III Palace), the nobles toasted the Imperial Couple with traditional cranaeian honey mead at the wedding banquet.


The frigate that Empress consort arrived on has been renamed the María Amélia. Empress María Amélia has earned the peoples favor when she gave large amounts of money to the establish the Empress María Amélia Orphanage. After the wedding the Imperial Court took the annual summer tour down the nile river to the Monaster of our lady of Philai.

The Years of Ambibia's reigns were slow and unimproved, ever since the years of the reat undead apocolypse, no regulation accured much after the great rule of King Kanishka.

As no social progresses accured, technolagy improved, as well as the disbandment of strict monarchy ideals. Ambibia was changing, and the world was beginning to see it. The alliance with Laval was still strong in terms of military deals, and Ambibian politicians had finally loosened up to the fact that Laval was a democracy. However the few years away from war had ment the Dacian empire and the Ambibian council had grown apart (but that was intended to change).

The ways of leadership in Whitehorse had changed, the monarch was no longer in total control, this resolution was put forth after the end of the undead diseases a few years back. Instead a council of appointed leaders from districts across ambibia formed a council that formed laws and acts that were sent to the monarch for approval or disapproval.

Currently the monarch is the grandson of King Kanishka Whiteton, King Albatrof Whiteton(a decendant of Lavalan and Ambibian royalty)


Since the fallback of Ambibia's shaky ally, "The Ottoman Empire", the time of expansion was felt nessesary to the people. The seperate Idahoan colinists grew roudy of no "elbow room" as well as the trade troubles enhancing in the carribean islands for Ambibia. King Albatrof called the council to draw a draft on proper expansion regulations, sating any land ambibians wish to claim should be approved by the council itself.

In a month's time expansion requests from all over the ambibian coumtryside rushed into Whitehorse.

Acts were passed to expand into:

the northern idaho area, as well as montana and colorado.

the island of haiti

the southern areas of alberta

the island of baffin (a great and momentus place in ambibian history)

and a small plea from a doctor's guild to colonize in the african area of Ghana to reasearch foreign diseases and cures.

Yh, I control multiple nations. The RFN is the successor of the Ottoman Empire, basically its the new Ottoman Government, but they changed the name of the country because it is a republic now and not a monarchy. The other nations are nations that were part of the Ottoman Empire that declared independence after the government fell.

María Amélia, wife of Solomon VIII the Emperor of Cranaeia, has given birth to twins, on the 6th day of june 1701. The twins are said to be the most beautiful children born to a ruling monarch. The boy is named solomon after his father, while the girl is named Elizabeth Solomonova. The people celebrate the birth of the heir to the throne and a spare.
