I'm just concerned that if anyone does it, they'll do shit.

Not because of writing quality or any of that, very good writers might do shit - because most of you are young, white and American. You are, quite frankly, rather uneducated about foreign cultures, which is fine - I learn new shit every day myself about other cultures, even those in my own country.

But I'm concerned that if someone does an rp set in Brazil, they'll basically just make it all the shitty stereotypes of Mexico with more football, or America, but everyone speaks Portuguese.

I have an rp in the idea queue about a war between bears and Canadians, and if I ever do it (likely will not), it'll use every stereotype possible, because it's a joke rp.

There was a war. A Canadian war. The only great Canadian war. My people fought a race called the bears... for the sake of all creation. And they lost. We lost. Everyone lost. They're all gone now. My family. My friends. Even that sky. But mainly the bears. Oh, you should have seen it, that old forest! The second sun would rise in the north (the only direction known to Canadians), and the mountains would shine. The leaves on the trees were silver with the blood of fallen hockey players. When they caught the light, every morning it looked like a forest on fire. Every morning, the forest was on fire. Actually, that's a very good point for RP in general. Run what you know. Research the culture a bit if you're unfamiliar with it, and try to keep the setting somewhat aligned with it. Otherwise, it's as annoying as seeing an attempt to RP a story about the Bay of Pigs Invasion... which involves "a dispute over swine".
