Lemme clear it up:
The people at the top of the flight lists (Page, obviously, Pat, Monroe, and Silva) are the flight leaders. They're ES veterans, and have the appropriate rank.
The rest of the people in the flights are NOT being ranked. It's entirely inconsequential in terms of "rank)if you're Sword 7 or 8, if you get my drift.
And UKP, Silva is not a newbie, at least in the course of the narrative - he came along for Operation Falkland, before you were even in the squadron. He then left for Guillotine and Mordred, and came back in the middle of Cambyses.

There's a movie called Brotherhood, I think. It's absolutely class. It's in Korean, but has subtitles.
