Actually I probably do, I just don't understand what bench pressing means, which is different.

Actually, fifty pounds would be about the amount that Cassie can bench (considering her accident, and all). An untrained, healthy, adult woman, weighing 100lbs, should be able to bench roughly 50lbs. Here's a chart.

And, Zarkenis, a bench press is as such:

1) Lie on top of a bench, on your back.
2) Behind and above your head should be a stand, on which rests a long bar with an equal amount of weight at either end.
3) Lift this bar up, and move it until it is above your chest.
4) In a controlled manner, lower the bar, and raise it, without arching your back. Do this as many times as you feel comfortable.
5) Replace the bar onto the stand.

Congrats! You've just used a bench press.

Of course, there are different types of benches you can use, to isolate specific muscles in you chest and shoulders. And there are different techniques to do the same. But that's the general concept of a bench press.

Oh. That.

Yeah, I've seen it before.

See, what I meant by "I don't understand what it means" was that I didn't understand the meaning of the words "bench press", because I'm not a native English speaker, so yeah. :P.

This sounds similar to what we have. We have a thing that's like, not a bar with weights on the end, but it's got like these 'pipes' you hook onto something, where it says '50 pounds' and whatnot, and you pull those towards you and whatnot, exercising that way. Seems close enough to bench pressing to me.

It also has a lot of other things hooked up to it that you can use too, for like leg exercise, so it's pretty much a multitask machine.

I've always found the idea of a gym silly though (Having personal exercising machines is okay), because I'd much rather get out and hike or ride my bike then sit in a gym all day. Though, it really depends what you do in a gym. I saw a picture going like "Let's have a moment of prayer for people who are stuck in traffic when going to the gym so they can sit on their stationary bicycles", but I know you can make really good use of a gym.

Have to go to work now. If you want to finish up the lesson, have someone else help Burton, instead of Tara. Perhaps Chram, or Fry.

Will could take Taras place with or without powers. I'll be at home all night so I can post for as long as I am awake.

Oh it can wait, this is too much fun

By the way if I'm ad-libbing too much for Tara feel free to chime in. I know she's a trained fighter and I'm cogniscent of it, but if it gets to the point where she's being unduly de-powered feel free to object.

Hm, before I post, I just realized that despite lacking his strength, Erkenfried actually couldn't participate in self defense class due to his claws, which qualify as a lethal weapon, seein they would easily slice flesh open and sever tendons.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

She's trained to fight with weapons, specifically. Not unarmed. So this is pretty new for her.
Though it would be cool if she could land a hit on Burton this next time. 8)

I just pictured Cassie trying an attempt at something and just completely getting her ass kicked

Why do you think of these things at random mind? Sure, it's probably very true....but you don't really need to think of that at random...

Posted Tara's last attempt to pull one over on Burton. I was inspired by his thinking she was 'headstrong'. :p

But should Erkenfried have some sort of gloves on before I post? Or like caps on his claws?

I'm sure the school would have taken such things into consideration. If they have hearts for him to eat, I'd assume they'll have some 'claw-caps' for him to wear.

[EDIT] You should still edit Fry's last actions.

GODDAMMIT.

I just got the idea of the 'soft paws' we used to use for one of my cats when he was a kitten. Well there goes the creepy factor for Erkenfried.

...Not that I was meaning Burton's class was was unimportant; I just didn't was to miss a plot development.

Really? I went for Jack over Miranda (or, as I preferred to call her, "that incompetent Mary-Sue who needs to be shoved out an airlock) every time. Did a Paragon run-through as well and saved everyone (and the Collector Base, though my Shepard would have handed it over to the Coucil or Alliance instead of Cerberus, which to me seems so obvious a choice that it should have been an option) except Miranda (see above) and Jacob (if he's willing to go into the vents then that's fine by me; better Cerberus' pet gorilla than Tali or Legion or someone who's wellbeing I care about) and deliberately avoided making Miranda loyal because then she becomes all but invincible. Even when she's disloyal, the only way to guarantee killing her is to take her with you against the Reaper Larvae.

So yeah, was pretty determined not to see her again in ME3.

Really? You do realise she has a rather big subplot in ME3, right?

Plus, the amount of paragon required for that check... Holy shit, I'm pretty sure its impossible past a certain point.

By the end of the game I had the Paragon points to make them both loyal; I just chose not to. As far as I'm aware, Miranda's not essential for getting the happy ending to any of the third game's major arcs like Tali or Legion are. I don't think my experience suffered from her absence and, since I never had to thank, speak to or even look at the almighty pain-in-my-arse, I suspect it might even have been enriched :P

Yeah...Jack wasn't exactly Ms Winning Personality either. Pretty much an archetype of the cyberpunk riot girl with a bit of telepath... I mean Biotics thrown in there :P

Of course the biggest disappointment from ME2? No cure fore Azure Fever until Lair of the Shadow Broker was made available. Which was made worse with Samara's combat-nun outfit :P

Grabbed her by the collar and rolled backwards while using a leg as a catapult. Momentum redirected and headbutt avoided.

In essence he did one of these:
Yoko Tomoe Nage

But held on and rolled through.
