Speaking of, I need to ride again...
I know the feeling. I was a bicycle courier for just under 4 years and I still use bicycles as a primary means of transportation along with the El train.

What's your machine of choice?

My brother for a while used to ride his bike to work every day, getting in shape. Now he's too far from there (20 miles each way, or so), so he takes the bus, or the train, or rides with a friend to there (That he rooms with, too, so it's easy, and they both work there).

I don't really have a machine of choice because I don't really go anywhere unless my dad is taking us somewhere, like Pasado's almost every Sunday, hiking, or whatever. If I'm riding my bike, it's just me making an excuse to get outside and get in shape. But then I stopped doing it for a while again for some reason...If I do get a close job though, wherever I live at the time, I'll definitely use my bike though. It saves money on gas, and gets you in shape.

The farthest I think I ever rode in one day was maybe 20 miles...I don't really have a tracker. I really pushed myself that day, and I was wiped out by the end of that. Then I look at people like the Libertarian Presidential Candidate who took a break from campaigning to do a freaking 100 mile, 2,000 feet elevation gain mountain biking race....that he's done for like the last 9 years except twice: One time not winning the lotto to get in, and another time because he was recovering from frostbite....because he climbed Mount Everest, and as far as I know, with a broken leg.

I do believe he's the most bad ass politician I know.

So school came and with it my long evening naps. But at least I'm here now. So, can someone tell me who doesn't yet have a partner? I'm hoping I don't end up having to partner my two characters, that's kind of boring.

Charlotte doesn't have a partner. And if Bramwell doesn't come back, Jay won't have a partner.
If you wanted, I bet it would be OK for Sarah or someone to team up with Jay at least until Bramwell gets back. Also, I think the team's supposed to be bigger then like, three people.

Eh, I was under the impression we were working with pairs. But either way that sounds good. Now I just need a partner for Raymond. Or I could just continue neglecting his existence but that doesn't sound good to me.

I just saw the latest Kershya crisis. I think that perhaps some of us who are feeling insignifigant in the RP, and totally ignored for the crazy reality-bending events under the complete control of a single person, should start writing our own massive sub-plot. I believed ND mentioned something about a mutiny in the RP? Declan would happily participate...
You're all insane.

Yep.

I was under the impression that groups were for dummies, pairs for punching pads.

Eh, I don't think it matters. IC-wise, Burton probably wouldn't care if there were extra students around as long as they were actually getting shit done, so that's probably enough justification.

But yeah I still need someone else to partner with Raymond :P.

@Procrastinia: Someone'll shoot Kershya's craziness streak down eventually. If everyone just starts their own, however, things are definitely going to go down the shithole.

Both of my characters are taken, generally :P

And yeah. One problem that has always been an issue with RP's: Getting everyone involved. Which is why I never got into being an OP that much the few times I did an RP. One was small, so it was easy. Or well, 2 were. Especially RP characters that aren't that talkative (Cassie). Caitlin can just kinda get involved by talking to people.

Ah, you mean Gary Johnson. Yup on a personal front gotta love the guy. I'd ride with him any day of the week. Anything else well...

Anyway I think I'm up to...let me run out to the garage and check, yup I'm up to 6 bicycles now, ranging from a newer mountian and road bike to a 70s 10 speed road bike and a ground-up "clunker" I built myself to exacting retro standards. A clunker for those who don't know is the precursor of the mountain bike, a hodgepodge of parts designed to make a frame go somewhere it's really not supposed to.
The farthest I've ridden on pavement is 100 miles at a "touring" pace and about 20 miles at racing pace. On dirt I tend to compete more often, shorter distances but over rougher ground and still pretty fast and close to objects...in fact next weekend is a race weekend for me.

I just hate being "that guy", I really do. Normally I'd like to think I can adjust and adapt just fine, but some things really rub me the wrong way, if you can't tell. Again, that whole "thing" comes at the expense of everybody else' character development. AP was playing ball and having his characters interact, so are virtually everyone else, and Corrian might have Caitlin being a wallflower but not detrimentally so.

I actually intended to have Tara interact with Caitlin, but I got called into work this morning, and by the time I got back she'd already found someone to talk to.

I was thinking of someone knocking Antonio into a coma until Bramwell learns how to bring people into other people's head. I need a small break to deal with college, so I need a no-post time for a while.

You could just have him go to the Infirmary (where they seem to be taking him) and just have him be a sort of NPC character for a while. College is definitely a good thing to focus on.

Another time skip?

Damn me and my absence. Recap, if anyone will?
A young merc terminally ill with cancer, I signed on for a government "human weapon" program: Weapon X. They got rid of the cancer like they promised...sorta...by melding an advanced healing factor to it. The gruesome experiments left me physically and mentally scarred, so they put me in a mental ward where the guards held a dead pool. I escaped and rose to infamy, partly a hero.

For falling in love with a physical avatar of Death, I was cursed with life. I pissed off a divine power so that I could be with her again, but it failed. After I got struck down by some powerful lighting, I came back to life...as a breathing corpse. Fuck.

You couldn't think of a better way to write Antonio out of the story for a little while, than derailing Dom's class with more "OMG! DUCKY OF NITE STUFF! ANTONIO AND SHADE STUFF! WORLD IN JEOPARDY! FLIP OUT RWAR!!!1!"? :eyebrow:

Once Gregorio gets back up or the medical team arrives, Bramwell will get back to that. The same will be true for Sakura. This can be resolved in one or two posts, hence Bramwell refering to it as a small break rather than anything major.

Sorry, but its not that big of an event, sure the reason behind it is big. Someone just need to knock a person who's fighting randomly into a coma. And a coma is just the only thing I can think of that won't cause another dragon incident in a page or two later.

Kersh, like Tara was thinking to herself in my last IC post, the last time Antonio/Shade got himself into trouble the school was boarded by magical, multi-dimensional soldiers, bent on killing everyone. And a dragon. Don't forget the dragon.
How do you think everyone is going to react when this same person, not two weeks later, starts spouting purple smoke out of his face, and trying to kill his friend?

Speaking of the 'dragon incident', why would there be another one in a page or two? It's entirely within your control whether or not Antonio/Shade has another 'dragon incident'. There are a million different ways you could justify it IC, and it wouldn't be all that hard to accomplish.

And why would anyone knock him into a coma? There are better ways to subdue a person, that don't involve potentially killing them. For instance, Tara, CHRAM, and Fry could tackle him to the ground, and hold him there. Three students with super-strength could manage that, I think. That's not even thinking about what Burton could do, experienced as he is. Even if we were to knock him into a coma, we kind've need to know about it first.

I think my basic point here it that you could be doing all this character development without making Antonio/Shade the centre of attention.

(Does anyone feel like that was a rant? It felt like a rant to me. I didn't mean to make it into a rant. Sorry.)

Did you forgot the fact I need to focus on college so I need a way to not post for a while, right?

I also have an unfortunate problem of making every sub-plot I write to take over the main plot of my writing. I once wrote a story that starts with friends at school that develop into a large mess as I try to make every single plot point, character, setting, backstory, and relationship significant. Why and how I ended up mixing sci-fi, horror, fantasy, mystery, horror, slice-of-life, romance, and thriller genres, I have no idea.
