You expected it because it is true.

I actually really like this article. It is an interesting read on the subject of D&D's alignment system.

I am surprised that a rational, moral, social being would consider the idea of everything having a label as a negative idea (assuming that your post was a negative, exagerated, rhetorical question). I love the idea of everything being perfectly categorized. That one just so happens to deal with the universal values. As a person, I find the idea of something not having a proper label a horrible moment. Edd had the right idea about ensuring everything is labeled.

Just a heads-up here, that character wouldn't be accepted. I won't accept any character with a power that lets them mess with time.

I agree. Time travel is a messy subject on role-plays. Unless there was a big consensus ahead of time that it was going to happen, then it would just be arbitrary. Repeating a day already covered (unless there was something big plot-wise agreed upon ahead of time) is just not wise and would more likely lead to problems of how exactly the time travel would work and arguements about what counts as a paradox (contrary to non-scientific dictionaries, paradoxes are based upon the breakdown of logic rather than something that makes sense when you think beyond the literal meaning). There is so much that would require a group consensus that it is usually best to not dabble in it when not absolutely necessary.

How about an ancient conspiracy, except something that is not the Illuminati (trite), Freemasons (offensive), the U.N. (laughable), Trilateral Commission (just a drop in the pond), Bilderberg Conference (see previous), the Council on Foreign Relations (spitballers that sometimes suggest an idea that will get used), or Lizardmen (ha ha ha).

How about a Spartan conspiracy of superhumans that intend to take over Europe and make non-superpowered humans and unfriendly superpowered humans into helots and bring back the days of Sparta? The neo-classical designs inherint to such an organization could be interesting along with the theme naming, genius bonuses, and historical in-jokes and references (one could already be made that they are Alexander-esque in their ability to conquer and poorly manage empires).

I like the last one. We could also do it the other way around. A demagogue coming to power in a country, preaching to exterminate superhumans. The Demagogue itself is supported by a group of "rogue" superhumans. Compare it to a Hitler (sorry Godwin) funded with Rotschild money.

That would work, but how powerful would they need to be, like a whole country, whole area, whole contient. How powerful are we going to make these people.

Why would superhumans support a demagogue that is preaching their destruction?

Nevermind, I just think the Super-Sparta idea is better because there would be super-humans to fight with the addition of slave soldiers to fight against and other superhumans that have a metaphorical (sometimes less so) gun against their head. It would provide swarms of easy-to-kill conscripts/zerglings and bosses in the form of superhumans.

I don't see why it has to be one specific group or another. A massive conflict such as the Vampire War would leave big gaps in the power structure to be filled, so is it so surprising that several groups would vie to fill those gaps regardless of the cost?

Yes, I decided to go against the tradition in these things by actually making up a plot before starting it.
