To her own admittance, she was thinking rather badly of Tsubaki for pushing herself too hard. Stacking back her papers, she stated, "you need rest. You should head back to your dormitory, or a doctor."
There was not really anything else she could say. She was not a nurse. She did not know how to treat illnesses at all.
Tsubaki smiled, "Ara ara? If I were to rest every time I coughed up blood I'd never leave the bed. Besides, it isn't too bad today. I'm feeling delightful." She coughed up more blood, this time catching it in the handkerchief. "Plus, I'm one of the poster children of the glorious Japanese fleet! It would look bad if I had to stay inside all day." She looked down, evidently she'd been forced to stay inside before, and it clearly got to her. "Besides! I want to make friends! I didn't get to meet anyone when I first got my powers, and I was never trained to use it.. all my father wanted me to do is stay home and have children."
Tsubaki turned to the chinese girl, "I just got here. Oh! Where are my manners. Daimonji Tsubaki, I'm pleased to meet you."
Glaring at Tsubaki, the librarian was not sure if that was wise. If her illness was as chronic as she said, all the more she should be confined to bed. However, she could understand if the girl wanted to find friends. She just did not think she could make many with her illness. Not many would want to be saddled with taking care of her in the event of an emergency.
"Gudrun von Manstein," she introduced, "I'm the head librarian, or... only librarian in the academy. Try to keep your voices down. This is still a place of study."
