Aeritha spoke no more, simply held her as she cried.
The demon wiped her eyes and took out another small, empty vial. She waved her hand up from the puddle of blackness that had pooled under her and willed it into the vial. It flowed and streamed in. The tear that Aeritha had wiped had also joined the flow into the vial. She would find that as the tear moved off her hand, it stole away the body heat from wherever it touched.

"Why can't people just walk into this house?" Naomi slid off the chair and helped the soldier into it.
"Hello? Are you okay?" She poured the soldier a glass of water and glanced up as Thriller walked in to get coffee for himself.
"Thriller, can you help?" Naomi wasn't expecting anyone to help; they hadn't budged when she was screaming for someone to save the BranRiech girl earlier.

Aeritha smiled comfortingly, "What are you doing?"

"My tears are as cold as they are useful. So I always keep an empty vial on hand for when the occasion strikes." She explained. She took in a deep breath as she pocketed the now full vial. "I really need to stop crying like a baby." She said.

Naomi knelt down and looked into the soldier's face. "Miss, do you need a doctor? We don't have one. Well, we do but he might remove an organ or take a bunch of samples without your permission. We have Bran and Swith, and they heal."
Naomi looked at Thriller's departure back to his own seat, and at the absorbed Demon and goddess' child, then back to the soldier. Her little, gentle heart felt crushed. She mustered up her courage and stood between dining room and kitchen, giving them all a piece of her mind (which came out a heck of a lot more forcefully that even she had expected)
"You people are all selfish bastards. Every last one of you. There's someone here who needs medical attention. The raptors almost ate Bran's girlfriend and no one raised an eyebrow. I will never help any of you ever again. It's always all about you and never about anyone else. And most of you never even say THANK YOU. So... well... go f*ck yourselves!"
Her face blazed to a horrified, self-conscious blush and she felt terrible for saying such harsh things. Naomi wanted to crawl under the carpet. She burst into tears of frustration and returned to the soldier.

"No, it's okay to cry sometimes. What's not okay is to just stay laying down after you're done."

"There are too many people these days who take one or the other... they either cry, and never do anything about their situation, or they try to fix things, but act as if nothing is the matter... both are incredibly unhealthy. It is okay to admit that you are in pain. It is okay to cry, to weep, to curse, to say that you have had a rough time, because you have. But what we all need to remember is that nothing gets better unless we trudge on, and at least attempt to make things better. Old memories will never fade away, but we can water them down by adding good memories to them."

Arthur walked through the lobby carrying a roll of plastic sheets. "Ummm...Hello Bran, sorry about trying to eat your girlfriend." he said and scratched the back of his head.
