Bones voice comes in over the radio.
"Why destroy the city, you ask? Well, isn't the point of all this to save it? So why turn it into a radioactive pile of ash? Besides, we don't really need them.... Also, I get the distinct feeling Swith is about to sneak into my apartment. Swith, I know we're friends, but if you do that we'll have to track you down and kill you in an incredibly painful way."

Swith Witherward wrote:"Holy shit," Swith said, not realizing there were ground forces swarming the place (she'd recently updated Angry Birds and was engrossed with playing on her iPhone). Shoving the phone in her pocket, she fumbled with the jar of capsules and took out handful. These she threw towards the invaders. They rattled on the ground at enemy feet and Swith opened fire with the water pistol. In less than a second, the capsules burst open with broiling force, vomiting out mutated 10" long knockout mice..(Image)
They were able to regenerate entire bodies from one teensy torn off part. Their size and mass doubled with each regeneration as the enemies tore into them, and the unfortunate foes in front of them were soon enveloped in a putrescent mass of macabre annihilation. Swith planned to be well out of there before Final Stage... critical mass.

By now, things were at the height of the battle indoors. The Froxian police were doing their absolute damnedest to keep the enemy out, but it was a stalemate. One policeman was struck. His riot shield on his helmet shattered as he was flung into one of the rooms. He twisted and screamed, but his screams were muffled as he had his hands over his face. Blood ran down his fingers. "I CAN'T SEE! I CAN'T FUCKING SEE!" He shouted. "We gotta keep moving, sir!" "No! The residents are just beyond this hallway. We fall back now, we can't defend them." "Sir, it's a fucking bloodbath!" "Hold on, and keep them out!" The injured policeman jerked and twisted violently on the ground as he continued to scream.

"Hey, looks like the apartment is getting overrun."
"What? Damn, we're too far away, all the way over here... contact Suicide Scott, tell him to let loose the cannon fodder."
------------------
A door opens and a stream of soldiers pours out, cutting into the enemies attacking the Monofoxians. The apparent leader of the group walks up to Monofox, flanked by a squad.
"Don't worry we got it here, you guys go regroup and guard the rest of the apartment, you've taken quite a beating and it's too hot over here. We can take a beating, no problem, they're all expendable. Go recover, try to save your wounded, we got this."
As if on cue, a heavy weapons team sets up behind him and opens fire.

She fired three rounds down the hall and almost blew the wall apart as bodies cluttered around. But they just kept coming. One of the Security members took his Pulse Rifle and fired a grenade from it, splattering the walls, floor, and ceiling with blood and gore. Monfrox set the speakers on her iHome up to play one of her songs as the battle continued. The police had were only holding the position, no they might be able to push back.

"Jeez calm down, I was only suggesting you take a quick breather, maybe save your wounded," He points to a screaming policeman twitching on the ground, bloody hands on his face, "If your worried about my guys dying, don't be, with the exception of me and my squad here, the Dead Men Walking, they're all just mindless cultist-clone things Dok cooked up to attack as cannon fodder, completely expendable.... Whatever, do what you want, just try not to shoot me or my guys, it's gonna get crowded down there."
With that, he turned away and left. The Dead Men proved their name, leading the charge against the enemy, straight into a hailstorm of bullets. Remarkably, they didn't die (lot of cannon fodder did) and engaged the enemy at close range.
