Brechalht wrote:Of it is not too late, I may want to slip in an app.

On the subject of the OP powers discussed earlier, that app actually gave me an idea for my own character, as well as a possible interaction.

I was considering a character who could replicate his own body (some form of temporary cloning- apologies, I don't know a term apt to describe it). These clones however, are limited by his ability to control their actions with his own mind. As such, the character has above average memory capabilities, and an ability to multitask quite easily.

The major limitation to this power is that the more clones made, the more erratic and disjointed each becomes, as his mental abilities are taxed.

So imagine 20 clones washing a window, but only two can play chess or study. The amount of clones and their relative abilities are inversely proportional to the difficulty of the task.

So, friends, is this too OP? And if not, is it too late to apply? :)

I love it, personally

Wonderful! I will craft an app.
My proposed interaction with the above character deemed "too OP" would be that while making those clones, the char is less resistant to subconscious suggestion. It offers the above character an opportunity to utilize her powers while on campus, while also crafting a rather unique dynamic to what could be seen as a natural partnership, unequal or no.

Thoughts?
(Brieten, feel free to interject)

That would definitely be interesting, and something I'd be quite open to, if I am accepted to this RP.

Name: Hanna Svensson
Age: 17
Appearance:
Year: Third year

Powers/Abilities: Hanna has the power of compulsion, which allows her to influence other people's memories and actions. This comes in handy if she is ever in trouble, because she can use her power to influence the authorities to release her.

Personality: Hanna is usually a very energetic, very outgoing person. She does have a bit of a "mean girl" nature, which tends to hurt her relationships with some students.

Bio: Hanna was born to a family of Swedish immigrants, which meant that she grew up in a very accepting and tolerant household. Her two older brothers always gave her trouble for being a girl, and constantly picked on her by roughhousing and pulling her hair. Her parents realized that she was something different when one day, when Hanna was seven, she fought back against her eldest brother Andreas. She didn't fight back in the typical way, but rather in her own way. Her parents witnessed her being attacked by Andreas, when suddenly she locked eyes with him, telling him to go to put his hands into the boiling pot of water on the stove. Both of Hanna's parents were shocked to see Andreas stop what he was doing and slowly walk to the stove, putting his hands into the boiling water.

Hanna's parents watched her closely after the incident with her brother, but neither knew that they were being compelled by Hanna. She made them do whatever she wanted them to do, and was never suspected of doing so. Eventually, she began to feel bad about what she was doing, so she told her parents the truth. They were saddened, but not angry. Despite the lack of anger from her parents, after this happened Hanna began to experience bouts of severe depression. During these times, she wouldn't eat or sleep for days, staying awake and looking out her window. The longest bout lasted for two weeks. Eventually, her parents decided something needed to be done. Before they were able to do anything, however, they learned about the government's dislike of the so-called meta-humans. They reasoned that Hanna must be one of those individuals. That was when they were contacted by the St. Thomas School for the Gifted. They immediately accepted the offer from the school, sending Hanna there when she turned 14.

Quirks: Hanna has very severe mood swings, which similar to symptoms of bipolar disorder, bring her from being very happy and outgoing, to cripplingly depressed. Another quirk is that she takes great issue with people touching her hair.

Classification: Class III

If her abilites doesn't affect meta-humans in the slightest, she's accepted. But you do realized while at the school, she basically human, in a matter of speaking.

I thank you for the acceptance. Also, I do realize that her power is useless against meta-humans. I do think it could be helpful if the characters encounter humans. As to her being human, I think that Hanna will like to be around other meta-humans, despite the fact that she can't use her power on them. It'll add an interesting character dynamic.

Brechalht wrote:Name: Harrison Connors
Age: 17
Appearance:

Year: 3
Powers/Abilities:
  • The ability to temporarily clone himself. Please note, these are exact copies to begin with, down to the clothing. However they may change attire through normal clothes changes, but the new clothing will remain after he cancels the clone.
  • The clones are able to work independently, but are joined to his actual body via the same consciousness. As such, Harry (Harrison) has very strong memory and multitasking capabilities.
  • Weakness: The abilities and cohesiveness of himself and his clones are limited by his mental capability. For example, 20 clones may clean windows, 7 may read books, 5 may carry on conversations, and 2-3 may play chess and the likes. The ability and cohesiveness of the clones behavior is inversely proportional to their numbers.
  • Note: He is susceptible to suggestion when competing taxing tasks.
Personality: Harrison is a very quiet, introspective person. He struggles with talking to others, unless they approach him first and in a friendly manner. As a result of his mental abilities, he is an excellent learner, and a library is a much better friend to him than any boy- or girl- in his life.
Bio: Born to a poor Canadian family, Harison grew up alone, while his parents worked in a factory. He was teased at school, and did not make any friends. He first discovered his incredible memory after several years of schooling, when he memorized several textbooks. (He has since forgotten them, realizing the knowledge was both pointless and strange to others around him.) he always had the ability to multitask, sitting alone in his house, he would entertain himself by playing brain games. After his mother died when he was 10, he felt so alone, he began to talk to himself. One day, while talking alone in his room, He answered himself. Quite literally, the clone appeared sitting opposite of him on the bed, and played brain games with him. Rather than being diagnosed with schizophrenia, government workers took him to the Academy.
Quirks: He loves to read, still has a habit of talking to himself, and will pretend to sleep in class while controlling a clone that is at a cafe or arcade. He doesn't have a problem with this- he usually already knows the information in class anyway.
Classification: 3

Accepted.

Name: Lee Hyunsik
Age: 17
Appearance:
Image

Year: Four
Powers/Abilities:
-Radiation Manipulation: Lee can create, shape and manipulate radioactivity, the process by which a nucleus of an unstable atom loses energy by emitting particles of ionizing radiation.
-Plasma Manipulation: Lee can create, shape and manipulate all forms of plasma, a state of matter consisting of fully ionized gas of low density which is shown on Earth in forms such as lightning and polar auroras.
Personality: First of all Lee does not like being told what to do by fellow peers. He gets irritable if you attempt to do so. At first it seems he's pretty quiet. But actually Lee is someone who enjoys the company of friends and spending time with them whether it be talking, eating, etc. He also has a habit of jokingly teasing and angering people on purpose to that point that they get exasperated. Enjoys encouraging and comforting other people. He's also someone best described as optimistic and isn't someone that's too quick to judge. Despite shown how lazy he is in actually he's a hard-worker when he gets down to to it. He's calm and collected and most people never even know if he's angry. It should be said that he's a person that's buttons shouldn't be pushed. However when needed he is aggressive, determined, and has a great sense of humor. Overall he's a kind guy.
Bio: Lee was born into a Korean family that ran the South Korean business conglomerate. His life was to be spent with him constantly being tutored and groomed to be a major part of Samsung. He had to be the best in academics, extracurricular activities, etc. Until the family found out he was a meta-human. Couldn't have the kid ruining the family's business name could he? So he was side-lined, shoved in a plane and sent to live in the United States of America with his uncle and aunt at the age of eight. That side of the family really didn't like him at all either. His uncle would whack him at the slightest mistake. His aunt simply ignored him. His older cousins gave him a lot of trouble too. Bossing him around, hitting him, pulling his hair, etc. Well when he reached thirteen he had enough. He gave his cousins burn blisters simply by touching them. He didn't think it was too bad, but his uncle had enough. When he was contacted by St. Thomas School for the Gifted he was happily given away and was sent there.
Quirks:
-He loves eating all sorts of food and drinks. Most people don't know where he puts it all. Or how he stays in shape.
-He breathes literature and history. He loves that kind of stuff.
-Tactical Prodigy.
-Doesn't like being bossed around by peers. No he does not.
-Loves martial arts.
Classification: Class IV

Might add another character later, who has a more...upbeat personality, though she still had issues with parents.

Name: Jenna Jane
Age: 14
Appearance:
ImageImageImage

Year: First year here.
Powers/Abilities: Life Absorption. She's pretty much Rogue from X-Men, except she can't absorb anyone's powers, and the only thing her power does is make it so she can't touch anyone, and make her already unpleasant life even more unpleasant
Personality: Originally a somewhat cheery girl, but as she got older, this began to dwindle. While she was never the msot upbeat, hyper, cheery person, she was typically happy. But over time, she began to stop smiling, and always looked sad and had a frown on her face. She never really seemed like she was fully there anymore. This made her nice and friendly personality dwindle away some with any sign of happiness, though she isn't overly rude or anything. But she seems to have a short fuse for people these days, and can definitely not be afraid to speak her mind sometimes.
Bio: At the age of 12, Jenna was diagnosed with major depressive disorder (And I mean major. On some random dumb test I did, a 54 was "Severe depression" level and she was at like an 80), which was no surprise based off of the last years development where she came from a normal teenage girl to a depressed one in a years time. at that point, with protest from Jenna, her parents decided it was time to get her checked out for depression, and it easily came back positive with her having major depressive disorder, which sadly surprised none of them. Quickly they began giving her various different anti-depressants to try and fight her depression, but nothing seemed to help her. Either she felt more dead on the anti-depressants than without, and decided she'd rather deal with the depression than the feeling the anti-depressants gave her, or they just didn't work. This made her feel even more hopeless about her future than she already felt, which was saying something with how bad off she really was already. The depression had no known specific trigger other than she just developed it. No car accident to set it off, no horrible life experience. Nothing. It just showed up over a year and that was that.

When she was 13, she attempted to commit suicide, but couldn't fall through with it. She climbed to the top of the highest building that she could, hovered over the edge of the top of it for a while, but in the end, couldn't make that one last step off of the edge, and hopped down, breaking into tears. She never told anyone about her attempted suicide, though her parents had their theories based off of her behaviors, so she was never put on any official "Suicide watch" thing or anything. Though there was no question in any mildly observant persons mind that he had depression, so the school would likely know before long.Shortly after this point in time, she developed a smoking addiction, trying to use nicotine and tobacco and such to try and make herself feel better, to no success. All it did was add an addiction on top of her depression problems instead.

When she was 14, as if to make her life even more miserable, she just had to develop powers and become one of those "Special humans" she kept seeing that were talked about on the news. Which while she found that it wouldn't be that big of a deal if she developed powers, even though she had little interest in them, she just had to develop powers that made it so she sucked the life force out of someone when touching them or kissing them, making something like, say, family comforting her out of the question, or possibly getting a boyfriend in the future that might have helped to make her life better than it was right now. Instead, her life became more miserable, and while her parents were accepting of who she was, they felt that it might be best to go to a school for people like her, maybe being able to somehow get some control over her ability. She again hesitated, feeling like it was a pointless waste of time, but in the end accepted and is now showing up to the school.
Quirks: Likes darker clothes, if tha counts as a "quirk". Otherwise I can't really think of anything.

Oh, I guess I remember making this character (In a completely different scenario) have a British accent, so that could be a "quirk".
Classifaction: Class II?
