The Sulitan listened to the translator speak and nodded. At once the ruler shouted out orders and men behind him began to scurry. They opened up doors leading into the school. Harq Al-Ada began to walk into the building. The translator beckoned the newcomers to follow. As the Sulitan passed by guards they stood at attention. Leading them through the hallways of the school Harq Al-Ada spoke about it. "This is the school of Dar Al-Hikman, the academic center of the world," the translator told the strangers. Walking through a door-less passage the group entered a large lavishly decorated room. Scrolls and maps lined the walls. Reliefs circled the roof. Sailors and stars could be seen made in tile. Caravans, ships and farmers could be seen looking up to the stars. The room opened up to a balcony that looked over the city. In the distance sailing ships could be seen coming to and from the harbor. The Sulitan spoke. "My liege is quoting proverbs." the translator said to the group. "Those who cannot bare the great fire are those who tend the fields of the nomad. Please, sit, you are welcomed," the translator added. The Sulitan spoke again, pointing at several scrolls. Aids rushed forward to open them and show them to the group. "This," the translator said, pointing at the maps, "Is the Leto Empire. To the north, here, is were we are exploring and settling. Much is unknown about the north that I desire to find out," he finished, obviously meaning the Sulitan was the one interested in exploring.
The people started to look at the designs for some of these and started to show that they have just started scratching the surface of what they can do, already they had started to point things out and saw the sailing ships and started to remind themselves of the Old Theocratium and the rise of the Ulyth'th Host that sailed to Tredera so long ago and found the colony of Xergiok, but that was before the Dark Times. When she sat down, her second-in-command and the navigator who gave the map and another one and laid it down but the maps of the Leto Empire and started to put their strange eldritch markings as points of interest as they had started to show the ruins and then she started to speak and the translator was motioned to do so," We are here, to the west and beyond the sea here. We are called many things, some old and dead, others new and alive. We are called Storm People, Xel'nox, or even the Theocratium, which was our old country before the Dark Times. Howver, we are called Stao'nonxizil or Ash People or even called Pale People if you would like. The ruins that your are exploring are known to a race of advance people called the Armalite Dominion, which at one time were one of the most advance civilzations in the world before the Dark Times, it seem that they did not survive but perhaps their allies or their enemies, the countries called Ney Zyirus and Arcea but it has been decades, even centuries sent we have step foot on this continent." She tried to explained to the Sultan.
The translator spoke to the Sulitan. The man's face turned very serious when hearing about the collapse of a great empire. The names of these other civilizations were also strange. The Sulitan spoke, pointing out the void of their maps in the north. "We have never met these Arcean and Ney Zyirusians. Never before have our sailors ventured so far north. Little is known of the south, besides that it is full of sandy waves" the translator told the group. "We have also never heard of your people nor of these western lands. The Sulitan suggests that the scribes draw maps of these lands and trade them or copy your maps. He is interested in any other civilizations to trade with. Also the history of these peoples whom of which we have never heard." The translator turned to the Sulitan who spoke a few more words to him. "Trading of peoples is the water of human society," the translator said, once again quoting scripture.
