As shitty as his childhood had been at least he could say he still had a childhood. Allison, Charlotte, and the others only seemed to know training and combat. He honestly believed that the three people she had saved the seats for were her only friends. And he couldn't even begin to imagine what it was like being his mothers personal guinea pig like Gilbert was. He waited with the others until Gilbert got back. "Hey Gilbert, Thanks for setting this up."
Gilbert returned to the table with a combination of hope and worry on his face. He hadn't actually thought that Allison was the way she was because she lost her team. He resented himself for not seeing it earlier, and felt bad for her that she was so hard on herself because of it. It wasn't until Gregory said something that snapped him back to reality that he spoke up, the usual cheery tone coming across to mask what was underneath. "Oh its no problem at all." He grinned. "Actually Allison had organized the trip to the diner, I just kind of went a bit overboard with the bringing guests along I guess. I only hope I didn't overtly upset her by doing so. I'm sorry that it didn't quite turn out as well as I would have liked it to though."
