Thai Department of Foreign Affairs To the International Community, ATTN ASEAN, Vietnam, Laos, United Nations Today is a grave day for Siam, as the fraternal bonds between Thai, Cambodians and our Laotian and Vietnamese brothers was broken through the unjust use of illegal force in direct defiance of various diplomatic and wartime treaties, including the Geneva Conventions and United Nations Charter. The government of Laos, backed by Vietnamese aggressors brutishly ravaged the Thai and Cambodian border with hoards of troops and weaponry. The event began when a civilian aircraft from Kuala Lumpur to Manila via Bangkok was destroyed. It carried dozens of passengers including women and children of various ethnicities and nationalities. The blatant attempt to discredit the Thai people by murdering innocents over Thai airspace shan't be ignored. From that moment until the governments in Hanoi and Vientiane surrender to ASEAN and the Kingdom of Thailand, we the Siamese people of Thailand, Cambodia, and our ASEAN Allies (the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Brunei, Singapore) are in an active state of war with the communist regimes oppressing the people of South East Asia, these regimes being those of Vietnam and Laos. We expect the nations of the world to respect Thailand's claim over these nations, as they have proven for decades they cannot be trusted. The great people of Siam will be uplifted in this war of reunification to avenge the oppressed people from the Laotian and Vietnamese aggressors. Thailand and her allies refuse to lie down and surrender, nor will we allow our enemies time to rest and prepare while their people suffer and the threat of war looms over the heads of all Asians. As I write this, the brave men and women in the Royal Thai Armed Forces and their new Cambodian brothers and sisters are defending their homeland and people from the aggressors as we counter-invade the communist nation and decimate the horrific Laotian and Vietnamese armies. As you read his, Filipino, Malaysian and Indonesian forces are intercepting, capturing and destroying Vietnamese naval vessels. As this message resounds across the world the true and democratic people of South East Asia wage a war in the name of hope, hope for peace and prosperity in a region that had been tense and oppressed since early colonial periods. Finally, we gain the resolve to uplift our humble people to victory over tyrants and the enemies of democracy and peace. Thus we are calling for the Tyrannical Regime of Laos and their horrific puppetmasters in Vietnam to immediately surrender to the Thai people and their allies in the name of democracy and human freedom. Any attempt to resist will be met with the full strength of Thailand and her allies. Any attempts to ignore this official communiqué will result in uniform action. Any attempt to undermine or otherwise act upon this declaration in any way other an complete surrender will result in the annihilation of the Laotian and Vietnamese state and liberation of her people. Due to the fact that the communists have committed the greatest diplomatic crime possible, we are shutting down all Laotian and Vietnamese embassies, consulates and officers in Thailand. All civilian travel between our nations henceforth ceases. Any Laotian or Vietnamese diplomatic personnel may apply for asylum under ASEAN, as their communist regimes are at fault for this travesty. We do not wish for this war, however we will stand sentinel and fight for the freedom of the South East Asian people. There shall be no negotiations or appeasement, only surrender and prevalence of democracy and freedom. ชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ Undaunted, Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Kingdom of Thailand, on behalf of ASEAN |

However, it is still an encouraging step towards peace, and would encourage a similar resolution directed at Bulgaria as so not to be unfair and one-sided.
