This time when Chrys hand touch the yellowed slab his mind isn’t invaded by the forigen mental presence that clawed at his sanity before. However as he lifts the slab he realizes that its size and mass is very deceiving, the piece of rock is completely weightless and Chrys finds he could carry it with a single finger if he choose to.
"Well, I suppose that went better than expected..." Ate sighed in relief. He had no clue as to how the object affected one's vision, but he was not about to find out. However, this would prove problematic as Chrys would most likely have problems navigating around the halls; that, coupled with the off-chance of her accidentally running into someone, could be a recipe for disaster. Thinking about this, Ate made sure to keep his distance, putting Jacob between himself and Chrys.
"Funny. It looks like marble, but it feels like foam. It's almost like someone's painted over the rock to play a trick on us," Chrys remarked. "And where's Bran? He's been out too long; hope he didn't get assimilated." She laughed, a bit hysterically.
