Speaking of Bran, he came running down the hallway happily, glad to be back and joining his friends in the experiment. He noticed the new guy but decided to get to introductions later, because now? They had an old relic to mess with.

He sighed and looked to Chrys, picking up the thing.

"Is it that light?" He gaped.

"Business? What kind?" Kei asked as she rolled around on the bed, giggling.

"What kind of business? Why, what an excellent question.", Katya said. "I'm going to get into Private Security. Corporate Armies, Guards, Police Units, guard dogs, all that. It will help the city, and bring in money, which I can further use to help."

Ate supposed the man whom had just ran into the room was Bran, but he was beginning to wonder about the sanity of the armored woman before him. He had taken note of the fact that she had been stroking the hilt of her sword when he first encountered her, but her laughter set him on-edge. That reminds me of... he thought to himself, SHUT UP. That is of no matter... for now. He mentally barked at himself, adjusting his gas-mask.

The New Velociraptor Empire wrote:The front room was a normal doctor's office, with the light yellow walls to calm the patients. The reception desk was manned by a single nurse busy on the phone. A husband and wife waited off to the side for their appointment. It was all very professional, nothing was wrong or amiss. The clinic was legitimate. Although their practices were experimental, they were still safe.

As he looked around, Ray continued to attempt to plot how he'd get access to the official records. He knew the last name of his client, so he could always request a search on his behalf. However, this presented its own problems: even if the nurse at the reception desk somehow accepted his request, she'd probably inform both Mr. and Mrs. Warfstache about his visit, which would obviously be against what Wilfred wanted. But what else could be done? A physical confrontation or action would cause more troubles than it was worth, and Ray's morals wouldn't allow it. Pulling a fire alarm could work, if he did it from a secluded location so that no one located him. However, doing that would give him a limited time to actually check a database, and he'd probably attract incredible suspicion due to his presence and appearance.

So? Ray decides that the only real shot he has is going up and asking directly from the receptionist. "Ah, yes? Hello there, ma'am," Ray politely introduced himself as he took off his hat, in order to appear more approachable. "Where can I find information on a certain client's baby? I've been requested by Mr. Warstache to do a quick check-up, I'm afraid."

"One second please..." the nurse asked holding a finger up as she finished the call. Her name tag indicated that her name was Vanessa Rogers. "Do you have any proof of that?" the nurse asked when she hung up, she had a professional but friendly demeanor. Her keyboard clicked away as she looked up the list of people privileged to the patient info. She didn't seem to care if he looked a bit like a wolf, there had been two alien invasions and her boss worked with advanced technology.

Ray took just a few milliseconds to figure out how he could respond to the nurse's question. His mind raced, wondering what he had that he could possibly use in order to convince the nurse. "...Would receipts and checks made out to the clinic count as proof? I'm afraid that Mr. Warfstache wasn't entirely helpful when I met with him," Ray sighed honestly in the hopes that the nurse would take the bait.

"You're going to support the BranRiech?" Swith asked. Someone like Thriller throwing in powerful forces to unbalance a war between nations of similar tech levels was so... Chaos. The corners of her mouth drew back into a whimsical grin.

For a moment, Swith forgot she trying to be more a human and less bitchy. Her mind conjured up an open battlefield where BranRiech and Urraniese soldiers strove for victory against each other. The earth was pockmarked and the everywhere was the stench of ballistics and blood. Bullets and larger projectiles screamed through the air, lethally striking their targets. And then, like white knights of fabled yore, Thriller's forces arrived to turn the tide of battle. They strode in, larger than life and with ramparts held aloft. The Urranese fell back, screaming in their terror as they began to bottleneck between two natural landmasses. And then, oh yes, and then the shadow overtook them all and the BranRiech forces knew the marvelous wickedness that was the underside of a Baneblade as it crested both landmasses and slammed downward to crush the foe. Twenty... no, fifty... NO! a hundred Baneblades vomited from dark portals and poured onto the field, and with them came the crush of thousands of Astartes. And then, because Chaos is always fair, the BranRiech would be driven back and the Urraniese soldiers would cheer until the Chaos forces tore the breath from their bodies. Because Chaos never takes sides. It only entertains itself.

"AAAAAH HAHAHA oh...." Swith coughed softly and brought her mind back to reality and told herself once again that it was time to retire. "Um, sorry... So... they approached your people and asked for assistance?"

--

"I thought the mirrors were to entertain them," Xanthe smiled. "Like a parakeet. You put a mirror in his cage and he talks to himself all day." She gently poked Lucius' arm and added, "I'm kidding. Envy and Pride. Mirrors make sense in their case.

--

Blythe nodded at Superbia. "Well, do you think Lucius would care if we remodeled the rest of the apartment? He's always at work anyway. But this place needs some improvement. It's too... churchy and nice."

"I am not supporting anyone in this war. If anything Khro is the one who set up the one who deals with the PMC, not me. I only handle my businesses if favoritism or corruption is present. Anyway, she told me on how she sent a Son to speak to both parties in this war. It seemed that BranRiech was more interested in the services than Urran."

---

"Not really for Envy; Pride, yes. The mirrors are used to, how I say it... It is a word that involves.. Well can't really think of the right words to say it at the moment. Well I guess it is used to torture the person by seeing a reflection of themselves having all the things they wanted but they personally could never have. Like a king for example, a king who wants all the land, gold, and friends he could ask for. He may not have it while he is walking the dry, dead ground in Envy's ring, but his mirrored self will have all of that, and more."

"Eh. Random really. Whatever fits the 'feel' of the Chapter or Legion for whatever means. Thus I'll likely grabbing a Thesaurus or two- never thought I'd need one in life. Odd. Such books are normally reserved for the stranger slaves of the legion that wish to insult their masters more eloquently. I suppose after discussing with Blythe and her Daemonettes and stopping by the library we might wish to grab a couple historical books as well. Pick apart our minds in search of a good name for the child. But enough planning- on to see if the Daemonettes are up for a celebration Tipper"

Volturius inquired with a raised, bald brow, already knowing the answer. They'd likely already met half the horde's number at Swith's birthday and likely forgotten the names of the lot from the complete sensory overload experienced.
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

How on Earth did Wilfred figure that he was going to get the baby's info if he couldn't even have a legal way of attaining it? Ugh, perhaps it was just something that he had to figure out. Sorry it's clinic policy, have to protect the patients info. Who knows if you just rummaged through his trash and found those papers, you haven't even told me who you were." Vanessa replied professionally. Only Betty and Dr. Martin had access to those records so far, not even Wilfred had access.

"Ah. Then may I call him and return later with a signed document?", Ray asked, trying to maintain a good face while becoming slowly annoyed. How on Earth did Wilfred figure that he was going to get the baby's info if he couldn't even have a legal way of attaining it? Ugh, perhaps it was just something that he had to figure out. "And would that be my own ID or Mr. Warstache's?"

"Yours, I don't even know who you are wolfman. Even Wilfred Warfstashe himself doesn't have access, only Betty Jackson and Dr. Martin have access to those patient files." Vanessa stated as she tapped away at the keyboard as the reception phone rang again. "Excuse me one moment....Martin Fertility Clinic how may I help you?" she answered and turned slightly away from the door to the examination rooms. A camera watched the door from the corner of the ceiling with the red light blinking away to show that it was on.

Ray decided that it might be a bit of a risk to try and steal any possible information off of the computer, so he decided that the best shot would be exiting out of the clinic. He made his way back to his car and stood outside of it, pulling out his phone and dialing up Wilfred from his phone's memory. Ray hoped he would get an answer: otherwise, he might have to try some of the rather unorthodox methods he'd figured earlier. If he'd get an answer from Wilfred, he'd tell him that he needed signed documentation from him if he could provide it.

Above them, the large mechanical beast stalked, its seemingly infinitely jointed tendril limbs able to scale any surface it was presented with- even with little damage to the property it strode upon.

Below, the trio stared at the apartment when it came into view- regarding it initially as hopelessly primitive.

"Please tell us that this is not of your making. I cannot recall even seeing a building of such material before. Is it at least dimensionally weaved within your residences and this is mere disguise?"

Aegis gave a small chuckle at the accusation “No it not ours” he replied “It’s a human compact dwelling place, we have a single section that has been expanded and modified using transcendent dimensionality, to link it to our home in another dimension.”

He took them inside giving them clearance under Minerva’s new security system by showing the front desk his room key and filling out a time sheet for them. He turned back briefly to say “Your robot might fit in easier by entering from the roof” before guiding them over to the elevator and taking them up to the top floor.

On the way they pass by some of the other roommates chiefly the group in the den struggling over the stone.

The leader of the alien sent off a wireless signal to the large quadruped robotic creature, ordering it to drop in from an entrance on the roof- or make one if needed. Having made and sent the message in a quarter of a second, the alien seemed to not have even made any command due to his exoskeleton automatically following Aegis.

Wondering exactly where in hell the alien was taking him, a digit of the leader's exoskeleton talons tapped impatiently on the floor of the elevator. Wormholes were far more efficient than these... devices.

"Exactly where are we going?" The leader inquired, not entirely sure as of what to expect upon arrival.

"Trust me, I never understood it either. Then again I never understood why the poor and the common man would go to war and people like politicians stayed at home and sat on their hands only to make up laws that burden the people more. I mean, for a month or so the politicians would care but after that they would forget all about us until significant progress was made, but by that time, most of us have lost dear friends, brothers and sisters if I must add on to that." He gave a sigh before continuing. "Only people who benefit from war are the victors. And usually the victors are those who send the soldiers to do their work."

"This reason alone is why when my nation goes to war, I fight along side it. Not only does it give the soldiers inspiration, but the fact that their leader ain't a total fat ass who only uses them for gain. That this leader understands war cause he fights along side us. I mean if it is a war I started, I will get involved and I will fight for and with my people no doubts about it. Hell if anything, I consider all of Gliese and the Empire itself as my family.. Well one of the few different types of family."

--

"Well despite the crusades, i found a lot of men from the first in heaven, not because they went on a massacre, but mainly because they were a bit mislead. Plus they didn't fight for God, they fought to clear out the bad Muslim group that was occupying and harassing Christian pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem. Their hearts were pure, but not their direction."

"But if we have too many mirrors then they would conflict with eat other, which can get a bit hectic."

(To free up Torii and Blossom)

After so long, the two girls were tired, their feet hurt, and their backs ached. "Yea, let's look later.", Torii mumbled as she dragged her feet. "Let's go home!"

"Yea, let's.", Blossom said in agreement. The two girls picked up their pace, and turned around to head home. The walk was long and exhausting, not to mention it killed their feet, but they eventually made it, and cheered when the building came in sight.

As they entered the lobby, Torii waved goodbye and carried herself off. As she entered the room, she waved to Katya and Kei, then went into the second room. She came out a few minutes later in her cotton dress, and slipped off her boots. This relieved her greatly, but not enough, and so she decided to leave and walked out to the pool for a foot soak. It had been a long long day. She decided she'd explore some more tomorrow.

He sighed and looked to Chrys, picking up the thing.

"Is it that light?" He gaped.

"It is apparently that light. That seems a bit ironic given its affects...." Jacob chuckled, partially because he thought it incredibly ironic, and partially due to the fact he thought Chrys's laughing was pretty funny. He then noticed that it was Bran who had said that. "Oh, you are back, amice! You finished the business you had? What are you making, then? Unless you do not wish to tell us." His tail was waving happily; He was more than a little excited to experiment on this strange marble. "Oh, wait, will its affects transfer to the halls when we move it here? If it does, we will need to have Ate guide us, since he is the only one who has yet to touch it."

As Chrys moves around the room those who have previously touch the ancient template see the radiance of certain objects dimming and increasing as the strange vision altering effect follows them as they walk.

The elevator gave small squeal not accustomed to the weight of so many large personal and its accent was slow at best. The black box was composed of mirrored surfaces that reflected the occupants images back at them four fold. “Room 6C” Aegis answered “My friends have converted the arch of the door into a multi-layered trans-dimensional and trans-temporal portal with homonculus manifestation crossed oracle disturbance linked up with dimensional transcendence to a non-Euclidian evoker's reversal that simultaneously breaches into the Luxan Core World at dimension 0000-0000-0000-0001”

It was an over simplified response but Aegis didn’t want to bore them with the details of the overly complex universe shattering physics. “I’m surprised such a small party was sent to recover this artifact, I would have thought they’d send an army, Mister….?”

"Private security, eh? Hmm, interesting. I hope it turns out well." Kei said and continued rolling around the bed, circling Katya whimsically. She seemed to be having a good time just doing that though, so she was fine for now.

"Hmm, that vision effect is returning." Bran said as he shrugged. "At least we can see, but it's sort of confusing. Let's set it down here, howbout? Or are we taking it someplace certain."

"I hope it works out too, but I had my doubts."

Katya watched Kei roll around with amusement. When did Kei act so weird?

"I have my doubts about starting the business. I mean, a woman my age, with no experience...I don't think it could go so well...and what if something happens?"

....

Now back home and relaxed, Torii let her feet soak in the pool, while she paid down on the poolside. It was nice and peaceful, though she wished she had some company. Oh well.

......

He lobby door opened as two people entered the building.
