I think regardless of nation framework, we should start with provisional government composed of all existing parties whose primary job is ensuring free and fair executive elections. This allows us to have basic laws like "no murder" via decrees untill legislature makes it official.
In regards to legal system as long as its adversial and we can have plea bargains, I dont really mind.

I think it can be solved simply by an OOC instruction that there are laws against blowing everything up. Until we make a law that is.

You know, in an actual civil law system, the peso thing couldn't actually happen. The judge could still interpret it to its obvious meaning (i.e. The USD), it just wouldn't set precedent.

Motion to extend debate by twelve hours.
(How many seconds does this need, or are we going by a strict voting schedule?)

The vote doesn't start for 5 hours, as I said.

Hmm, ok. This would be extending debate to 36 hours from 24, so I'll set it at 7 seconds.

I personally think that we should try to focus more on a hybrid of blank state and non-blank. I wasn't in Aurentina, but what I liked about Baltonia was that there was a bit of structure, something to center an RP off of. I did think that a flaw with going entirely non-blank was the amount of time it took to approve certain basic components, but that's just me.

Vestmark was supposed to be more comprehensive, but I restricted it to only a few things so many other things may be created cooperatively later.

Why a motion to extend the debate?

<UotW> There's no reason to debate

That's a good point. I was thinking that some might be undecided and prefer to have more comprehensive explanations of each side's reasoning. I'll leave the motion there anyway, so if seven people feel they aren't educated enough, they'll second it. Else the voting will open for our disconcertingly educated crowd.

Like what?

Things you and a couple of others from Team Vestmark haven't decided for us already:
  • Government - One of the only important things you've left for us to decide. This is normally done through IC legislation, so fair enough.
  • Currency - We didn't really decide on this any of the last couple of times either. Mainly because not many people gave a shit.
  • Flag - Considering the located you've decided for us, the flag will probably have to have realism restrictions. This would be the case wherever a nation was located, but the thing here is that nobody else gets a say in where we are located.
  • National Motto - Wow, so glad you've left a huge thing for us here.
  • Ethnic Groups - You've already decided there will be a large Muslim population (in return for the support of any member of the RP if you ask me), but due to the located you've decided we have to be in, this will be subject to realism restrictions.

Voting started 3 hours ago, I didn't realise it.
