I like it in theory, but in practice, it would probably result in the death of the Senate again since there's not really much new to legislate.

I believe Ainin and a few others also want to go back there.

I've been thinking more about either Vestmark or the blank slate.

I do like the idea for returning to Aurentina for nostalgias sake however I can't be certain of it being active again. At the moment i'm leaning towards the blank slate system (although the UN idea is kinda interesting)

Don't be shallow. It's explicitly stated that the formal debate is to give clear information without the inane comments of your sort interjecting. MV supports and is moderating our debate, and I'm particularly concerned about why you're so fervently against the entire NSG Senate, which will be deciding the future in this official thread, being educated in their decision.

I never said I support the debate. As a matter of fact, I do, but I do not support your putting it together and posting it without making it public first. That's not how this Senate should be run. I appreciate your taking the initiative, but I was under the impression you'd bring it to our attention officially (not in the "We should have a debate" sense) before putting it together.

I apologize for such an abrupt presentation for it, and hope we can reconcile in holding it. However, I do feel it will ultimately result, if in any way, for the better. By having a less adversarial discussion between those actively involved in developing their respective concepts, the actual consideration we have here can be improved, ultimately bringing us to a decision not based on personal opinion, but on what will demonstrably be best for the Senate.

To see if we can get most of us agreeing on one idea. If three fourths of us are unhappy when we reboot, it's likely that people will leave. If our decision comes across as more of a consensus than a majority, sentiments might be more open.

The attempt at a formal debate limited to only a few people is trying to persuade anyone reading based on the argument for the ideas themselves, not how the argument is presented. How well it'll work is left to be seen.

Why the fuck don't you just elect a person to decide anything.

Group decisions my ass.
