Our military accounts for 52% of our government. The WA reports 41%, but in fact many of our educational and research-related expense are in fact military in nature. Many educational, industrial, health law and order expenses are in fact related to our military and intelligence assets.

There is little law enforcement and very few police officers. Most of it is covered with mass surveillence of public areas like malls, streets, highways, and MRT stations. Other places have their own security measures in place as well. All this done by CCTV alone.
Senyosu is under reconstruction, however, former tropes still apply

Teachers are are, almost all of the time, war veterans.

They also approve of having guns in school.

Due to universal conscription, nearly all citizens of Senyosu have some experience on how to handle a gun and the proper laws.

Concealed carry is legal in Senyosu, by the way.

A common game played during the Rothic New Year (celebrated at the Autumnal Equinox) involves the placing of one caramel-covered onion on a plate with caramel apples. The kid that selects and bites into the candied onion wins.

The game follows odd logic...

Southern Senyosu is called confused Senyosu by northerners and mainlanders. This is for the fact that Southern Senyonese cuisine is Thai and Malay influenced, as well as heavily influence by the Portuguese. This is further supported by the fact that Southern Senyonese architecture is a mish-mash of Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, and Portuguese architecture.

This is probably due to the history of the southern regions. They were for the most part a free economic trading zone with other powers when the rest of Senyosu was strictly isolationist.

Carrying a weapon is usually associated with either being part of the Enforcer Corps. or being a criminal. No exceptions.

Not that it stops otherwise law-abiding citizens from purchasing smuggled firearms and the like for self defence.

You could buy a security bot, but they're ultimately under the control of the Phisychian government and can be turned against their owner if they oppose the state. Again, Phisychians can go into the black market to get the transmitters to the government removed, but that does carry the associated risks of getting arrested by the Enforcers if you're found out.

Basically, gun culture does not exist beyond being part of some counter-culture groups in Phisych University.

Social welfare is not a priority. Education, maintaining a healthy ecology and environment, and stimulating research and development as well as competition are the three main priorities of the government. Needless to say, we have high levels of income equality and some oif the best standards of living in the world.
