Honestly, some may call the color overcomplicated, but I quite like the alternation. The emblem (based Smithsonian) is waaayy less complex than most and striking, and blue/yellow is frankly an underrated combo.

I would say you transmit something different by representing the old order as a Star, it makes me feel like im seeing a pentagram or satanic nation. Anyways its a good concept.

Funny you should say that... because it kinda is. The "old order" in question is the Moralintern (which I have a factbook for). It's a pretty explicitly theocratic order, and as Revachol is indeed going against divine mandate... yeah, "satanic nation" is pretty accurate.

Assuming that this is a sci-fi futuristic nation (spelling new as "nu" is a suggestion of that) then this serves very well for a flag. The colours give off that clean utopian future vibe and the caltrop, despite its medieval origins, is the kind of shape you can imagine emblazoned on the side of a spaceship. It's just an elegant, solid design - 10/10

I don't think I have a default USSR flag. It's the Leninist flag of USSR (1923-24), just after the ugly ahh flag with the coat-of-arms got DEAT'd.

you're ripping off the crown of liechteinstein, putting a pair of slightly resized cypriot olive branches underneath it, and then adding four fleurs-de-lis to each quadrant quebecois-style. there's also no sense of color compatibility with the black and purple alternating quadrants and the entire thing just looks like a badly-designed kitbash mess

Interesting design, good colours, nice symbolism. I would give it 9/10, 7 points for the flag itself and 2 for the originality.

As I have said before, yellow and black is a damn good color scheme, and your emblem is simple, symbolic, and striking, and the three design elements flow seamlessly. 9/10.
Edit: Upon closer inspection, the emblem is a tad too complicated to be drawn, but a quick simplification could fix that. 8.5/10.
