[ABANDONED] On Collections of International Artwork

Postby Murias » Sun Feb 25, 2024 11:57 am

The Security Council,

Believing that collections (hereafter “decks”) of international artwork (hereafter “cards”) are beneficial to a nation’s people and their understanding of the world.

Confident in the benefits that a deck of cards can provide such as:

  1. An increase in artistic expression can alleviate stress and boost confidence, leading to increased quality of life, better relationships, and improvement in conditions such as high blood pressure.

  2. Increasing citizen’s knowledge of their country's history and culture through interaction with its
art, inspiring patriotism, and preservation of history.

  3. Broadening citizens' understanding of the outside world by letting them experience other
nations' cultures, helping to fight stereotypes, and promoting a more accepting environment for
    Citizens to live in.

Urging member nations to build decks of cards in areas where there are none to increase accessibility. Member nations are encouraged to fund preexisting decks of cards to keep them running and of high quality.

AFAIK only two declarations have been passed relating to the cards game, On the Artwork of Defunct Nations and Against Inflationary Practices. Take a look at those and see what standard has to be met before the SC will pass a cards-related declaration.

Among other things, you need to narrow in on something more specific. This declaration is simply too broad.

So would you say that instead of On Collections of International Artwork it should be something like On The Making of Collections of International Artwork?

Your formatting needs improvement and it’s really not that attention grabbing in terms of content. Needs a lot of work.

No. I'm saying you should move on to a different proposal. This topic ("you should play the cards game") doesn't have a lot of potential.

I'd appreciate a declaration showcasing and describing the different unique collections players have created, and encouraging others to emulate their creativity.

Thank you, I see your point. It was pretty hard to come up with stuff to say, so I will come up with a new proposal sometime soon.

For a first time draft it really isn't that bad, I recommend having a good look at other drafts and also to have a read of Westinor's sticky which may be helpful. :)
