[Draft] Declaration of Multiversal Potatoless cuisines day

Postby Brihottoro Bongo » Wed Feb 21, 2024 10:08 am

ACCEPTING that Potato infact is deserving of the respect provided to it by SC#419 On The Supremacy Of The Potato,

RECOGNIZING its role in establishing unity and peace in the multiverse,

NOTING HOWEVER that there has been more than one attempt to repeal it in a short period of time,

FURTHER NOTING that the main argument against it is that not all countries accept potato as supreme,

CONCERNED that these countries may get marginalized by the rest of the multiverse,

REALIZING the need for a new resolution to provide balance to this issue,

CONSIDERING the declaration of a multiversal day celebrating these potatoless national cuisines as an effective measure to increase cultural awareness,

ALSO CONSIDERING the idea of serving potatoless cuisines from these cultures in the World Assembly on this declared day,

NOTING HOWEVER that no date in the calendar has any historical or cultural significance to be declared as such, and thus it makes sense to consider the day of drafting of this resolution, February 19 , as the perfect day to do this,

HEREBY DECLARES February 19 as "Multiversal Potatoless Cuisines Day".

So as a not so experienced player in this game, I didn't know about the convention of posting the drafts of resolution proposals on this forum before submitting and Isubmitted this proposal and got only 6 approvals.
So is there any mistake in this proposal or it is just a really bad proposal lol?

In terms of the content it’s not particularly original, quite derivative in fact. Overall it’s a poor proposal and I suspect you didn’t campaign for it which would explain the low number of approvals.

If that seems paradoxical the vast majority of WA Delegates are rubber stampers, they don’t read the proposal they’ve been asked to approve. A nation can write an awful proposal, like yours, but a well run campaign can get it to quorum.

We don't need any more resolutions on potatos. Or tomatos, brussel sprouts, carrots, bananas...
