You should remove it from the submitted proposals and draft it for a bit, while it may seem tedious and unnecessary for a resolution which appears to be simple enough in nature, it will never pass if it even gets to quorum. And wasting four days of it at vote while it's clearly going to lose is not worth it.

I agree. It may be a simple task of listing the reasons why this region no longer needs to be liberated, but it's better to have the opinions of others to know whether or not they actually succeed in convincing the WA member nations.

Does the author think that they are the only one to attempt this repeal before? Others have tried, thinking that this repeal was low-hanging fruit, but there is a reason why the liberation still stands. There is no native support for this resolution at all.

People constantly try to repeal old legislation, thinking that because it is old, it is no longer needed. Rather, they should be thinking, because it is old, it has withstood many repeal attempts already, so isn't a piece of 'low-hanging fruit' at all!

Ehh, I mean, in this case there is really no need for it anymore. I think its historical significance (whatever significance it may be) is the main reason why people are against repealing it. In cases such as Utopia, there is no longer a native population to get opinions from, since the region is ostensibly dead. Along with this, they have an active founder which negates whatever effect the liberation has and once had. So the author has a point, it's just that the way it's set up with no natives and it being such an old resolution, it's essentially unrepealable :P
