Condemn North Korea

Postby Brasilia » Tue Nov 22, 2016 10:15 am

Brasilia submitted a proposal to the Security Council Condemnation Board entitled "Condemn North Korea".

https://www.nationstates.net/page=UN_vi ... 1479832642

I ask that all democratic nations analyze this proposal and make the most just decision whatever it may be. For yes or no, all decisions must be respected in due democratic process.

Regards,
- Brasilia

I don't think WA resolutions apply to real-life entities.

Your proposal is illegal - fails Rules 4(a), 4(c) and 4(d).

Next time post a draft in this forum so it can be critiqued and improved. Would also pay to familiarise yourself with the rules.

Description: Description A resolution to express shock and dismay at region of North Korea

Considering the dictatorial policy of The Defender Alliance and your members which do not respect democracy and banish everyone who disagrees with their opinions.

My proposal obviously is not meant to condemn a country in real life and were not these the reasons that support the request for condemnation. The condemnation is based on the authoritarian attitude and the invader policy of the North Korean region. But thank you for your note.

One Rule 4c violation (reference to NS as a game) annd one Rule 4a violation (references to the mythical "real world").
In the name of democracy and freedom, I urge all democratic nations to Condemn North Korea.

One Rule 4d violation (not written from the World Assembly's point of view).

We haven't even done anything lately to deserve this honor.
But thanks for the thought.

Gotta say I am mildly amused by your lack of understanding about North Korea or how it operates.

Dont mind the fact that The Red Fleet was COMMENDED (not condemned) for their operations as per SC #184, the same operations we participated in.

Dont mind the fact that we just had a regional poll where we asked everyone to decide what type of government and say they wanted in the region, even going as far as demand that people vote so that we could have a super clear understanding of what the regional members wanted. (Fun fact: The people voted for all members to be 100% equal)

Dont mind the fact that there is a large volume of debate on the RMB with people disagreeing with each other. Yea we dont accept racists, bigots, or oppressive speech. No apologies there, if you want to go oppress someone take it to your own region where we can come find you later.

Dont mind the fact that it is actually you who is not "respecting democracy" by respecting our Peoples Democratic Dictatorship (which is a hell of a lot more democratic than the endorse pile mentality of 10000 Islands). In North Korea, every member has an equal say.

All in all your proposal is a thinly veiled disguise of your own prejudices against North Korea.

Why is that? I know that the major upside to the PDP is that everybody is equal, but what's so bad about the XKI way? (note: I have never been in either region)

ON-TOPIC EDIT: "Condemn North Korea" appears to have been pulled.
