Someone makes a change to stop being a raider region, then wants to be commended for it. Your reward for not being a raider region is not being condemned.

I don't support this.

So, is this some odd joke? Cause I don't get it.

It's just an attempt at trolling. They aren't switching sides and even if they were, several days of switching sides is not a good reason for a commendation. They should repeal their condemnation first.

The nation of Apatheism might support a repeal at this point, but a commendation is far too ambitious.

The World Assembly,

Contemplating that the name “Lone Wolves United” is an amusing paradox,

Acknowledges that the Lone Wolves United, otherwise known as the LWU, were one of the oldest and most influential raider regions in NationStates, who were condemned in 2011 for raiding several regions,

Reporting that after a recent revolution, led by Alpha Emeritus Scardino, the LWU has switched sides and declared itself a defender organization,

Delighted to find that the LWU has followed through with their claims by cutting relations with, and compromising the operational security of, over seven major raider organizations,

Noting the critical damage that these actions have dealt to these raider regions, who were blindsided by the LWU’s surprise attack,

Relieved that several major raider operations were thwarted due to LWU’s actions, including:

• HYDRA Command’s planned coup of the East Pacific.
• The Black Hawk’s planned raid on the Rejected Realms.
• And The Chaos Brigade’s half finished takeover of 10000 Islands.

Thankful that the LWU has selflessly sacrificed it’s long held reputation as an elite raider hunting pack in order to save these poor defenseless regions from the Darkspawn scourge,

Concluding that the LWU feels regret for the actions mentioned in SC #74, and that they are currently attempting to make up for these sins,

Realizing that, in hind sight, raiding Anarchy is not really a Condemnable action, since it is so easy and it happens all the time,

Pointing outthat the region’s founder, Evil Wolf, has previously been commended by this council in SC #169 “Commend Evil Wolf”,

Believing that while they still have a long way to go, the Lone Wolves United have proven themselves to be productive members of society, and a menace to raiders across NationStates,

Deciding that these actions have made up for the LWU’s previous mistakes,

Hereby Repeals SC #74 Condemn Lone Wolves United.

Also, yes, I'm aware of the typos. There are at least two.

NSA has written a number of SC proposals. They read well, contain no illegalities and a couple have been successful.

Making stuff up is not actually illegal under SC rules; the Mods have said they're not going to fact check every proposal that comes to the floor. It's up to the WA members and delegates to determine the veracity of any claims in a proposal.

I think NSA has done a good job, especially when you consider his tongue was embedded firmly in his cheek when he drafted it.

Was a totally serious plot which involved adding defenders, members of TEP etc. to the planning chat and using 10KI as the jump point. Think a few people took it the wrong way, but you'll have to wait until someone who was there to chime in. Beginning of July I think this year.

Well, I'm not, but since my opinion does not match that of a majority of the WA, and noting my own opinion would be an R4d violation, I'll stick with it.

I dunno. I just looked at their WFE and RMB, and they don't strike me as a region which has switched sides for good. I won't support this in its current state until I get some actual, concrete evidence that they prevented raids or took part in liberations.
