So we are commending raiders now? This is a sad day for the security council.
Now I'm back in the ring to take another swing

Why? Where is it written that:

"On the seventh day of the second month of the fifteenth year of the 3rd millennium, the security council will commend a raider and the world shall look on and it shall be a sad day."

I refer you to my post earlier in this thread:
Ramaeus wrote:Woefully inaccurate. Todd McCloud and 1 Infinite Loop -- two legendary raiders -- were commended by the Security Council. Nice try, though.

There are several other raiders (or those who have conducted raids en masse) who have been commended by this council.
Just some weeb.

While Evil Wolf and I have had harsh disagreements in the past when I was President of Europeia, I have voted in favour of this. If I can be bipartisan and reach across the aisle I am sure others can as well. It is clear from his vast history that he deserves to be commended.

I think EW deserves a commendation, and have voted in favour myself. :)

Best of luck for the coming vote Mall. It might be a close one.

Well, I don't think they will. Tim, maybe, but the day Cormac gets commended is the day I get commended.

I don't even want commended, due to my prior invasions, and would strenuously oppose any attempt to commend me.

My position on this commendation remains as follows:

The Rainbow Collective wrote:The cognitive dissonance required to commend the nation that serves as Founder of one of the small handful of condemned regions is too much for me, basically. :P

Unfortunately, it appears that the Delegates of most of the Feeders and Sinkers can deal with any level of cognitive dissonance required to suck up to The North Pacific, so congratulations in advance, Mall, for the passage of this resolution and undermining the entire purpose of the Security Council. You've successfully turned an entire chamber of the WA into a joke, which is quite an accomplishment.

Using the liberation resolution against a Nazi region that invades other regions is completely appropriate. The mission statement of the Security Council is "spreading interregional peace and goodwill, via force if necessary."

Liberate Nazi Europe didn't spread peace and goodwill, and if the Security Council could survive all the fights over those resolutions and the attempted repeals (not that I think it was this grand prestigious organ to begin with), it can survive this.

So if this passes Mall will be 1/1 this year. Since there is an appetite to commend worthy members even though defender extremists don't support it, I wonder if this could be a watershed moment to bringing more balance and bipartisanship co-operation in the SC.

The EU referendum result is illegitimate, to paraphrase Pedro Sanchez, you cannot have a binary yes/no question to solve complex problems. Essentially, the masses get no overall say in the policy Brexit negotiation process deal or whatever the deal will be. The referendum was wholly undemocratic!
