Biography:

Emperor Soren Hveryn II was born in the lowland flats of the Provadian wastelands on the 4th of Julios in 2182; Born of a mother not of Noble linage, but of the peasantry instead. A young Soren was named after his father as a form of legitimacy in the eyes of the nobility, as to help ensure that he was of pure Noble blood, and not mixed with that of a commoner, despite this he found it hard in life to meet the image of a true successor to the throne, of which he was to compete against several older brothers for. Soren would grow to be distant from many in nobility due to his birth, and even his brothers did not give him much respect for being familiar in blood. Soren was a half breed not just between Noble and commoner blood, but between his fathers Endeian heritage, and his mothers Varangian bloodline, all eight of his brothers were for all intents and purposes, pure blooded in both senses, and unfortunately for a young Soren, the Varangian ethnicity was seen as the bloodline of brutes and savages.

A young Soren would live most of his life in the country side on his Uncles estate, where he learned the ways of knighthood for much of his life. From around the young and tender age of five to sixteen he learned the code of honor of Nobility, and of the Knight, perfecting his skill with the blade and mastery over mounts. At this point in his life he became the pupil to an Archmage, under the wishes of his father to take up the trade of magic in order to better defend the kingdom. At this point in history, the magi reconstruction of nobility did not begin, and like much of history, many mages were not taught in schools, but within the confines of a mentor, learner position. The advantage this had for Soren was his ability to learn magic at his own pace, and understand it thoroughly at his leisure while balancing other important lessons.

At the age of twenty one, Soren would become the commander of a chapter of paladins for the Inhaerentem Church, a denomination of Solism. He would partake in many quest to cleanse the world of the undead and demons which tainted the earth with their vile nature, while also learning the necessary facets of life, for which would become a requirement of any true monarch. In 2212, Soren annexed the land he was born in under his armies banner, displacing the local Lord and becoming the Lord of Pravad; the previous Lord was forced to start a new settlement elsewhere from the ground up, as he had little weight to challenge a superior army, as well as the son of a King and a paladin of the Church; Lord Soren would begin to properly cultivate the wasteland with superior farming techniques from the Forossan Kingdom to better feed his own land.

In 2217, Lord Soren would make his claim to the Throne of Havale when he crossed his army into the Ash-Cursed Pass, a natural bridge formation between the massive Heliopraes Volcano and the boiling sea. Here, Lord Soren lead his army to slay the feared Elder Dragon, Morignis, a battle which lasted seven days and costed a hundred lives. The final blow was struck by Lord Soren, a promise which he made the day the battle began. With the death of the massive dragon also came the praise of his countrymen, as well as blessings from the Church, and any loot taken from the Dragons hoarding. This act cemented his image as a dedicated ruler, who would personally lead an army into a hellish battle if it meant to take action against the enemy of man. With the blessings of the Church, Lord Soren mounted another army in the following year, and made way to Havale's capital district of Rodaneim. It was here that he declared his intent to become the King of Havale to his father, bringing to light all he has done in life to proof his claim. Lord Soren was a bastard child, born from a commoners womb, but had every intent on proving that the seed of a king was well spent into his creation. It was here he issued a challenge to his brothers, "Take Rodaneim for yourself and proof your worth as a man, or fall in line."

Soren would see five out of his eight brothers come to challenge him, each with an army larger than the one he brought, despite this the King to be had a way to counter this imbalance. Lord Soren convinced the local forces of the King that for being impartial, and for letting him in, they and their families would be slaughtered by his brothers army. While this ignored the fact that the King himself allowed Soren to let his men in as well as issue the challenge, this would likely have been lost on Soren's brothers. Lord Soren arrived to Rodaneim with a force of twenty thousand, while his brothers brought around twice that, but thanks to his words Soren managed to gain a quarter of his fathers own men to fight for him, adding another thirteen thousand to his ranks. This meager addition to his force was all that Lord Soren needed to help defend the captured capital of the Kingdom from his brothers. For an entire month his brothers laid siege to the capital, with very little success.

What would become known as the Hveryn Schism would result in several massive battles and skirmishes around and in the walls of the city of Rodaneim. Battles such as the first and third waves of the first week, proved Lord Soren's ability to keep the morale of his troops at full bore, all while under the continuous fire of magically enchanted arrows, and potent siege weaponry; While multiple instances of the use of early mortars helped devastate enemy troops who were clustered near the walls. During the entire engagement, the brothers only broke through twice, leading to the Rape of Nadeim (A small village protected by the walls.) and burning of the merchant district. Despite the few devastating losses, and breaks through ranks in his forces, Soren dealt a massive demoralizing blow against the enemy, before capturing and killing two of his brothers in a hammer and anvil charge from his own order of paladins. At the end of the month, the brothers armies turned against each other trying to steal and capture the supplies in reach, before crumbling and being finished by Soren's own forces. After the battle ended, Soren was crowned as the new King of Havale, and graced by the Church in Rodaneim, for his steadfast defense of the capital and its Church.

The remaining brothers would have survived the battle and retreated to lick their wounds, waiting to build up their forces before they attempted a coup against King Soren in 2222, however the remaining brothers who initially stayed out of the battle proved their loyalty to the crown, and added their own forces to the defense of the capital, while also sending forces to whittle down the remaining brothers armies. Seeing that these brothers who survived the initial Schism years ago could not be trusted to be humble in their defeat, and grateful for being spared; King Soren excommunicated them from the Church (With backing) and ordered that all their property be seized. After several small one sided skirmishes, his defiant brothers were taken to the capital and beheaded for their actions.

As King, Soren II would be an extremely benevolent but equally authoritative ruler. Striking a balance between strict religious fundamentalism and more "modern" social believes and customs, King Soren II ensured that the Kingdom of Havale would be put on the right track to becoming a powerful Kingdom, able to compete with any other Kingdoms in the Empire, and abroad. In 2225, at the age of 42, King Soren II was called to Astora to attend the next crowning of the new Emperor of the Empire, a process in which the Kings and Queens of the current Kingdoms elect a new Emperor or Empress after the previous Dynasty comes to a peaceful end. Do to good word throughout the Kingdoms, impressive leadership skills and innovative ideas, Soren was voted in as the new Emperor, and the first of the Hveryn Dynasty by the council. In his departure from Rodaneim, he crowned his most faithful brother, Darius Hveryn, King of Havale. In the 1st day of Natucies, Soren Hveryn II of Havale was crowned the Divine Emperor of the Eternal Empire of Lordran, and the Eight Kingdoms. As well as becoming Emperor and a Divine host of the embodiment of the sun, Soren Hveryn II quickly changed much about the Empire in little time.

By 2228, Emperor Soren II restructured how agriculture was done in the Kingdoms through imperial mandate, improving the ability to feed the commoners and Nobility alike. As well through increased trade with the East, his actions introduced the beetroot, along with rice and other less common or rare foods from around the world. Emperor Soren II also restructured the legions of the Empire, changing their distinct uniform look, to that of a slightly altered outfit of their home Kingdom. Numerous reforms to the structure of the Church also followed, as Soren II took a more native approach to the faith, implementing a harder and more fundamentalist view of the faith, one more in line with his Inhaerentem Solism upbringing. Through the restructure of the Church, Soren gave much greater power to the Inquisition than the previous Dynasty, and gave rise to segregated prayers (Although this is not as heavily seen, nor enforced.) Another change was in the way prayer was done, under his rule no more were benches or chairs permitted in any major Church building, instead they were placed in parks or places in the Church not meant for worship. Instead of benches or chairs, the nave of a Church was replaced with candles and mat for one to sit on, or kneel on, from here the prayer would hold a significant object, or their hands and pray towards and alter.

During his reign as Emperor, Soren II married a Noble woman of high birth named Mari Ági Király of Heide. Mari was crowned Empress upon her marriage to Soren II in 2226, during the month Gwenary, commonly known as the crown of sunlight. Mari would soon becoming pregnant and bare several children with Soren, and in a way, continuing the Hveryn way of life. Emperor Soren Hveryn II has maintained a tight grip upon the nation, and has bestowed many great titles to his sons already, promising to give them a lasting Dynasty to rule till the death of their reign, and the birth of a new one in the coming century. Only the Gods know what is in the future for Soren II, as well as his children, many scholars wonder if he will follow in his fathers footsteps, and father a bastard son as well. If he does, we surely expect his son to shake up the Empire much the same way that Soren II did for Havale.

Summery: Emperor Soren Hveryn II rules the Empire with an iron fist, noted as a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants his citizens the ability to do as they wish, so long as it does not break the foundation of the faith, and the Empire, although he watches closely to ensure they continue to follow the Churches teachings. The enormous, corrupt, well-organized Empire is dominated by a focus on defense and spirituality, although the Emperor greatly values education. Like the previous Dynasty, Soren II lives in the massive city of Anor Ostum, a testament of the power of the Church, and the faith of the Empires people.
