Introduction
The European Federation is practically all the member states of the European Union with the exception of the United Kingdom and Ireland. Over time, it has grown, absorbing other states and areas of Europe under peaceful Federal control. Its war with the United States in 2012 established Europe as a world power as well as the main superpower of earth. Its population and GDP is greater than that of the once United States and its leader: Chancellor Aringarosa is a right wing Europeanist, leading the nation to greatness. Opposition to the European superstate has been known and freedom of speech allows this opposition. Europe is strong today, in 2014.

History
2009 – Nothing much occurs at the start of the year. By June the 20th, the European elections take place and the results show a rather startling one indeed. The European Federalist Party, having finally gained seats in the European parliament takes many seats from the European people’s part and the European Socialist party, making them the largest party in the European Parliament. Plans are made to bring all European Union nations into one Federal power but large euro sceptic opposition in the Parliament (especially from the UK Independence party) forces the unification plans to be drafted into a vote. The European Constitution vote is held on June the 21st. The vote on the European Constitution ends on the 22nd. The results are in and all European Union nations of mainland Europe unite to form the European Federation. The Republic of Ireland denies unification due to right wing opposition. The United Kingdom lead by the Labour government is making plans to join the Federation without the peoples vote. The remainder of June in Britain is taken by civil riots and rebellion. Thus, the Labour government postponed the plans to join after the general of election of 2010. In Europe, the leader of the European Federalist Party; Sareth Aringarosa takes role as Chancellor (leader) of the European Federation. He brands a new type of government: Europeanism – a national conservative and socialist policy that will become the main democracy of Europe during his time as Chancellor. The European people’s party and Socialist party and pleased by this new type of Democracy and support the new government wholly. The beginning of the European Federation is met with large support by all form of politics (apart from the extreme politics such as Communism and pure capitalism) and takes a firm hold in world affairs.
The United States congratulates the European Union of uniting but expresses concern over its military and economic size, enough to rival and if not, take over the US’s role as world superpower. To show that Europe is also a superpower, they deploy 2,000 troops to Afghanistan to assist the struggle against the Taliban and also deploy many battleships across the ocean to help stop pirate activity and drug trade across the world. With Europe united, the western world takes a more firm hold on world domination as well as being international police.
In December, before Christmas day, a terrorist attack by Jihadists takes place in Jerusalem. The scale of the terror attack blows up many homes and over 40 people day. The enraged European, British and US government demand an immediate end to terror attacks by Jihadists or military action will take place in many Muslim countries surrounding Israel. Some Islamic governments near Israel accept this idea to root at Jihadist Muslims but others oppose western troops coming to the Middle-East again as it can be seen as a Western invasion. Throughout the Christmas holidays, the British, European and American governments engage with the Islamic countries to help stop Jihadist terror attacks on the world.
2010 – Disaster strikes Britain on January the 12th as an Argentinean task force invades the Falklands once again not just for the historic land but also for the new oil found in the seas surrounding the island. This time, the Argentinean forces do not take the whole islands as the Garrison there was reinforced weeks before the invasion. By January the 18th, the Argentinean forces are wiped from the Falklands and a ceasefire is made. A total of 29 British soldiers died and over 40 Argentinean soldiers were killed. War reparations are also paid to the British from Argentina and the United Nations condemns Argentina for the invasion. The victory for Britain does give small support for the Labour government but not enough to make the British people forget Labour’s betrayal to hand the country to Europe. The general elections are not far away now.
In the Middle East, threats of western peacekeepers coming to the Middle East keep the Jihadists quiet and there are no terror attacks for the time being. Peace in the Middle East has come – but it’s fragile and frightening. Disappearances of Middle-Eastern government officials occur across the entire area but no culprit is found. The Western governments do not interfere with the disappearances and leave the investigation to the Islamic governments.
The British General election comes on May the 8th. The result is a very surprising one. The average sized political party; the UK independence party takes over 4 seats, making an alliance with the Conservatives to withdraw from the European Union. The Conservative party takes power of Britain cleanly and takes Britain out of the EU as promised and into the European Economic Community. The Labour party goes to second with a disappointing 132 seats with the Liberal Democrats coming at third with only 42. Britain is once again Conservative with David Cameron as Prime Minister. The economic recovery in the country has been poor and is on the edge of collapse due to a very large deficit. Cuts will be needed and it will be very hard for the future of the United Kingdom. But the promising oil reserves in the Falklands could help Britain become richer than ever. The United Kingdom opens talks with Europe over strong alliances and military bases to be constructed in either country. The talks end with a special relationship between Britain and Europe with a total of 16 European bases constructed in the British Isles and a total of 9 British bases in Europe.
Britain also opens debates with the Commonwealth main countries: Canada, New Zealand and Australia, forming the Commonwealth security and arms union where a free trade of military weapons are traded throughout many of the Commonwealth nations and also to provide a Commonwealth army to secure its trade and defence across the world. Opposition against this by the United States occurs but it is ignored – denting the UK-US special relationship permanently. The United States is not the only international police force now.
Disaster hits the United States in early August when the American banks collapse once more as its shares prove worthless in foreign countries. Attempts to keep the US going by the European and British banks fail as the exchange rates plummet. The US dollar is now only worth €0.47 and £0.51. The end of the United States banking has arrived but it is not known when it will end –whether with a good result or a failed one. Cuts in the military, law and health are made. These cuts bring widespread crime, fast rising unemployment and poorer lives for many. Europe takes place as the richest nation on earth and the most comfortable. 2010 is a dark year for the United States.
2011 – With the United States in fast decline and Europe taking over as world power, the Jihadists in the Middle-East make their move. This time, on western world soil – in the United States. On the 3rd July, two hijacked military planes fly over Washington DC and fall on the city, killing hundreds and putting the city in a massive fire – parts of the capitol building are touched. After three days of heavy fire fighting and search for the dead among the ruins - the death toll is counted. A total of 1,300 civilians died and many high ranking senators as well. An immediate investigation is brought into finding the culprit of the terror attacks and the findings are extremely shocking. Al Qaeda are found as the culprit as Osama Bin-Laden publishes a video declaring that his organisation performed the attacks but when the US government looked further, they found that Al Qaeda had many connections with the Iranian government – making Iran a culprit of the terror attacks as well. Without any warning, the US military invaded Iran from Iraq and the south on the 12th July. The invasion is easily carried out but once the US forces have a foothold in Iranian territory, things become hard. The Iranian armed forces were preparing for a war with the US for many months and met the Americans with fierce resistance, driving many tanks into American convoys and blowing them up there and then. The casualty rate is very high for the American forces in Iran but the fighting continues.
The British and European government try to find diplomatic negotiations for Iran to surrender but none is found. Thus, on the 26th July, the armed forces of Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe also invade Iran; from the north. This was not expected that Canada, Australia and New Zealand would assist and this puts extra pressure on the Iranian army. The fighting for the British (and allies) and European forces is much easier than the American fighting. Casualties are of course high for both sides but the Iranian forces are in retreat. Having armies come to you from the north and the south is very hard and can put a lot of pressure on supplies and defence. By the start of August, nearly a third of the Iranian army has been wiped out or taken prisoner and the rest in fast retreat towards the capital. RAF and Euro-fighter bombers fly to the Iranian capital and perform many bombing raids on the city, destroying a majority of buildings and killing many. Civilians are known to have died in the bombings and this decreases support only a little for the war but the terror attacks on Washington DC remain fresh in many western persons mind.
On the 20th August, after heavy and harsh fighting – the Iranian capital is surrounded and penetrated by allied troops. The city falls in a matter of days and the entire country is occupied. Chancellor Aringarosa, Prime Minister Cameron and President Obama declare victory for the western world over the Iranian dictatorship. But the peace in the country does not last. Many loyalists rise up in rebellion against the allied forces stationed in Iran. Fighting continues. Civilians and soldiers alike die daily and before long – the Russian Federation surprisingly enters the conflict sending a large peacekeeping force to reinforce the Western armies. This brings a booster to Russian-American/European/British relations as Russian troops help to stop the civil conflicts. By the start of September, most civil conflicts have died down and the western governments see fit to bring in a newly Democratic Iranian government. This action stops all loyalist activity as an Iranian government comes to power and brings order back to the country. Peace has officially come to Iran. Before the western and Russian troops withdrew from Iran – there was an investigation into the Nuclear weapons that Iran holds – they were found by Western Intelligence groups and disposed of. Iran has lost its status as a threat to the western world and the forces withdraw from the country leaving Iran as a democracy.
2012 – With Iran known as the Middle-Eastern leader of democracy, the world seems set for a long period of world peace. But when world peace occurs, economies collapse. The United States Economy is dying at a greater rate this year than the last. Its oil reserves had nearly dried up and the European oil reserves were selling Oil to the Americans at such high prices. The Russians were refusing to sell any type of oil to the Americans with the Middle East in tow. The British were in need of preserving all there oil reserves to keep the British themselves alive and rich. Over the first few months of 2012, the American government engaged the Middle East governments and Russian government in talks over world oil sharing – with most coming to the United States. The British and Europeans denounced this idea as an American bid to gain world-wide power once again, bringing world relations with the United States to an all time low. Trade sanctions were threatened and un-done, alliances began to crumble, and world peace turned more fragile than ever before. On the 16th June, Chancellor Aringarosa made a public announcement, stating that with the collapse of the United States, the world will go to war once more. This speech brought the British, Russian and Chinese governments to mobilize the armed forces. Many countries in the Middle East and Africa openly declared that they won’t be participating in any conflict and will be neutral from then on. India, Iran, Israel and others declared neutrality immediately.
Canada, Australia and New Zealand however declared that the Commonwealth Defence Union would participate in any war with the United Kingdom to preserve peace. Canada’s statement to standby the United Kingdom nearly threatened open war along the Canadian-US border. Europe and the United Kingdom also signed an alliance to attempt to keep peace through war. The Russian Federation and China also created an alliance between themselves from the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation). The United States however was without an alliance. The special relationship between them and the United Kingdom had broken over European relations.
On the 29th August, the first blows of war were made.
The United States, re-entered Iraq without opposition from the Middle East, claiming to keep the peace in the Middle East even though of Iran and Iraq’s deceleration of neutrality. It was obvious to the world that the United States was only invading to direct the flow of oil to America. War was inevitable; the US knew this and stated the use of nuclear weapons would be used if any nation opposed the Americans openly with military action. The European, British and Russian government ignored the threat of nuclear war and sent forces to Iraq to preserve its independent government. On the 4th September, US tanks made a raid into a British-European base, killing many. Outrage from the world was swift and the Europeans and Brits took their revenge with a major air assault deep into US positions. Although being on Iraqi soil, the Iraqi armed forces made no attempt to push either foreign force from its land. Iraq now became a battleground. These constant raids from both sides caused more damage than casualties. The European and British forces had lost around 32 tanks and only 11 soldiers whilst the US has lost 47 tanks or vehicles and only 3 US soldiers. The Russian forces in Iraq hadn’t made much of contact with the Americans until the 11th September, the anniversary of the world trade centre bombings.
A European and Russian naval group stationed themselves ten miles from the East US coast. From there, a large bombing operation commenced killing many civilians and destroying a large US military base. This action was seen as an act of terror by the US government and some other governments too. In turn, on the 17th September, two US CIA agents flew to Paris and planted explosives in the French State Parliament. They exploded on the 18th, killing many French government officials and setting parts of the building on fire. The outraged European government increased troop numbers in Iraq and the violence there escalated. The British forces in Iraq had also increased its force there with veterans from the Iraq invasion in 2003. The war in Iraq looked grim for the US forces following the massive destruction of its main military base on 4th November by a joint Russian, European and British massive battle group. The remains of the US forces retreated back to its homeland. The European government appealed to the US for a world peace treaty but the US rejected it immediately. It was obvious the US government wanted war.
Following the defeat of the US forces in Iraq, the Russian, British and European forces withdrew from Iraq also and sent large naval and air groups to the coast of America to bombard it either into surrender or a truce. With the might of Russia, Europe and Britain against the United States, the old allies of the US did not dare to intervene in case of military action from Europe, Russia or Britain. Thus, the continued bombardment and death of many American civilians continued well into December. Surprisingly, the US military took no offensive action against the attackers but instead locked down into a defence of the nation.
On the 17th December, the most surprising military action took place; shocking the entire world. A massive European, British and Russian ground force invaded the East coast of America, striking massively into Virginia and the District of Columbia. The statement from the three invading governments is to wipe out the cause of world terror once and for all. A few weeks before hand, the European and British intelligence agencies uncovered intelligence that the US government was involved in the world trade centre bombings and the formation of Al Qaeda. This information hasn’t however been released to the public.
On the east coast, the US forces were putting up a stern defence against the main thrust of European and Russian forces. The Royal Air Force were performing daily air attacks over US military convoys, attempting to weaken them before the allied ground forces engaged. This proved very helpful at the start of the invasion for a few short days but the US air force began to engage the RAF in the air. Either way, the battered US forces from Iraq weren’t much of a match to the veteran enemy troops. Due to a loss of major tanks in Iraq, the forces on the East Coast were left without much defence and armour. However, they had been preparing for an invasion due to CIA infiltration of the allied High Command.
By the 21st December, The allied forces had made a strong beachhead and were only miles outside the city of Washington; the capital of the United States. Throughout that entire day, the most fierce fighting by each side for the city of Washington was bloody, the death toll was massively high that could compete to even the major battles of the second world war. By the evening, battered allied troops entered Washington DC. The President and its government had fled and the remainder of US forces in the area were un-supplied to really make a push against allied forces. Before midnight, the allied governments sent a message to the remainder of the US government to surrender or the war will carry on. The US government which is in hiding, reply; surrendering the United States military and land. The war was finally over with a burning American east coast.
On the 22nd December, the allied governments published the information on US involvement with the World trade centre bombings and with Al Qaeda. The reaction was brutal. American civilians took to the streets, demanding the dissolution of the current American government. The police didn’t stop this but instead supported it. The US military was torn whether to stand by the government or betray it. The allied forces moved around the US, stationing themselves to keep order. President Obama made a statement saying that the American people are traitors to there country and the allied governments had published lies. The allied governments were furious at Obama’s statement and arrested him after finding their secret hideout on the evening of the 22nd. Hours later, the allied forces in the US were ordered to withdraw. The United States has been destroyed and anarchy of it reigns supreme. Some states; California for example ceded from the US and formed their own nation state to preserve law, order and democratic peace. The remains of the US were now weak and lacked the international influence to make any change. Europe, Russia, China and the United Kingdom (Commonwealth Defence Union) now became world leaders, bringing peace all around for the rest of 2012.
2013 – The start of the New Year was called by the media as the start of the new world order with many large world powers keeping peace in separate parts of the world. However, like all years, there were issues. With the fall of the United States, many of its top world traders had fallen into collapse too. China was struggling mostly being a Communist state. However, many turned to trading with the Commonwealth and Europe who had set up many large businesses in the United States, making billions and making their own countries richer than ever. The state of California made no attempt to stop this as they had already seen their country ravaged by other world powers in December of last year. Russia meanwhile was rumoured to be planning on annexing the state of Alaska, but it is not known what the international reaction would be by Europe, Britain and China.
Instead, the government of Belarus and Russia established a united bond between them to share the riches of their economy to become more economically stronger. Ukraine and Moldova were surrounded by the Russians to the north and east and the Europeans to the west and south. Both economies were beginning to fail with the death of the US and its dollar as the shockwaves travelled around the world. The two countries as well as Switzeland (whose neutrality was causing major civil unrest) appealed to Europe to unite or to receive aid. Europe offered unification and integration into Europe but this isn’t planned to take effect until July.
In March, North Korea was close to political collapse. Its leader: Kim Jong Il was close to death and the people were seeing the truth of what the outside world really was. Political uprising against the North Korean government became rife but fell with the military taking action against the people. Reporters from the United Kingdom has snuck in to North Korea and captured footage of troops shooting at un-armed women with babies in their arms. International uprising against this was all united in fury. Russia and China immediately demanded that the state be integrated into Chinese control so no more acts of cruelty can be used. The North Korean government replied: threatening the use of nuclear weapons if any military enters North Korea. Thus, on the 23rd March, a Russian Spetsnaz force flew secretly to Pyongyang and attempted to capture or kill Kim Jong Il. The mission was a success and he was taken out of the country the following day. The Russian threatened they will execute their ‘dear leader’ if the North Korean government does not disband to China. The government accepted immediately. However, as Kim Jong Il was flown back o Pyongyang, he died of old age; some however believe it was murder by the Russian and Chinese special forces. No one knew for sure.
The rest of the year ran smoothly with European and British dominance of the west and Russian and Chinese dominance of the east. The world with four superpowers however was beginning to arouse suspicions of revelry developing. This was silenced however by European and Russian talks to open borders on the 23rd October between both nations for greater peace and the transportation of trade. Opposition to this however was massive and the talks disbanded on the 25th October.
Britain meanwhile was succeeding in economic and political integration between many Commonwealth member states. Following the war with America, the world had recognised Britain and the Commonwealth as a very powerful nation in world affairs. Thus, the many governments of the Commonwealth were eager for greater cooperation. The Commonwealth opened a major free trade market within its nations as well as a common currency; the Commonwealth pound which bears the resemblance of the Pound Sterling with a few changes. The bank notes began printing in late December. Europe, Russia and China looked on in concern at the growth of the Commonwealth pound. Its creation could put Britain as another major player in economic affairs also...
