I gotta say it. First time I read through this, I could have sworn it said something like this:Dammit, and I got accused of tech-wanking for using megawatt-scale free electron laser CIWS on my (nuclear powered) vessels to block spam missiles!
I was like, "Who the hell are you fighting... or more importantly, was your lunch meat laced?"

The Yellow lines represent accurate, aimed suppression fire that force our cowardly opponents to hide in their holes for protection

If casualties are suffered along the battleline, the column behind the tank will immediately send a replacement to take his stead.
Only the front battle rank will provide walking fire open the enemy, in calculated volleys, when they require reloading, the CO will blow a whistle and the second line will rush forward and continue the fire whilst the first rank reloads and keeps pace behind.
MG teams will run along the flanks of the group, two to each side, one advancing forward, the other providing suppression.
Tactic Name: Nicksyllvanian advance over Open Ground against Inferior Defending Opponent No. 1 Platoon Scale

Fatatatutti wrote:In the Fatatatutian armed forces, all tactical thinking is impromptu and al fresco. Officers in action don't have time to consult a playbook. They also don't have time to give their tactics cutesy names.
Every tactic is designed for the specific situation, including terrain, enemy strength, friendly strength, even the time of day. Hence, it could be said that each tactic is used only once. If a junior officer does the same thing more than twice, I'm tempted to send him home.
