Officially? 1990 after May Events. Unofficially however it sees itself - and sort of is - modern application of writings of Emperor Kogyoku and Shogun Chosokame no Yorimoto (XVI century). In short, Nemawashi does not try to claim to be something new - but rather return to original ideas upon which Nifon was founded.

Have you thought about adding a change log? I understand that it would be a lot more work (which is a reasonable argument against using it), but it could help everyone (including yourself) track the evolution of Nemawashi.

Very nice integration of various moral philosophies. Interestingly, I don't see a LOT of Christian elements other than Jesus as the origin of virtues. Most of the emphasis seems to be on traditional Confucianist virtue ethics, with hints of samurai Bushido.

I would dare to say that the traditional "Tanzist" (Fictional equivalent to Confucius from Wenchuan) thought has been absorbed by Kogyokist Christianity and quickly assimilated, as happened with Greek Philosophy through such people as Thomas Aquinias or St. Augustine in the West. Those two perfectly supported each other and the second became perfect platform for explaining the first.

Tenrigakism / Kogyokism / Nemawashi has been always a platform for government ideology serving to provide the background for functioning of the state. Kogyokist Christianity always had a role akin to Shinto in RL Japan, but at the same time Buddhism was practiced freely by it's adherents.

IC wise, I am relying on Tanzism (which is simply a fictional equivalent). That said, Confucianism was never an unitary movement; as both Xunzi and Mengzi had differing ideas, let alone Song era neo-confucianism which was in fact a reaction on Buddhism and used similar line of thinking.

Aside from obvious Christian influences, Xunzi (rather than Mengzi) was the one whose ideas are more in line with those of Emperor Kogyoku.

If you interpret Xunzi as "humans are naturally evil", then you're taking him far too simply. Through my personal experience, I am far more inclined to towards Mencius. Nevertheless, Xunzi's theories are more useful in governance, because all sorts of problems happen between humans that can't be explained adequately, and it can be useful to install safeguards against bad behaviour, but as far as human nature is concerned, Mencius is more descriptive than Xunzi.

Nifonese government has also 5 branches, with examinative and auditive branches being added to classic judicative, executive and legislative.

Calling the Nifonese "glorious anime people" is having lack of knowledge about the Nifonese.... There is no "Kawaii" in Nifon. It is a nation that in terms of mentality is in XVII century, culturally more akin to Imperial Japan rather than what you see now, although with religious differences.
