New new platoon org:

2x 14-man rifle squads, essentially USMC squads w/ assistant SL
4x Carrier (K21/BTRT Type 18/BTR-80)
(Optional) 1x dismounted command squad with CO, PS, RTO, 60mm mortar, loader

Ends up being 1O/39E or 1O/44E. I might just make the mortar part of (some) carriers. Each squad has three four-man fireteams, two with LMG and one with B-300. Spare seats are filled with either more stuff or attachments kicked down from company like EW teams or snipers. I'm on the fence about whether I like this org or the older one without squads.

Started as an attempt to fit a 150mm gun in a turret with a +20/-10 gun elevation range. Succeeded but at what cost?

Probably the most novel idea I had here was integrating the heavily armoured gun mantle, part of all my designs so far, directly with the recoil system. Which should add about a tonne to the recoiling mass and help offset the recoil of the rather large gun.

If I ever finish this (lol) I will probably put it for sale in GE&T. It's gun is definitely an NS tank remover. And it's the size of an NS tank.

Well, being a keep with defenses and stuff, it already is a castle. But no it's not meant to be surrounded by walls, as the idea was it would be surrounded by cliffs on the coast or in a valley.

Hello guys. I found an interesting little tidbit on Roman Armor.

According to wikipedia. "During the time of the Roman conquest of Dacia, legionaries had reinforcing iron straps applied to their helmets. The Romans also introduced the use of leg and arm protectors (greaves and manica) as further protection against the falxes."
This was the only recorded change to roman armor caused after an encounter with a people of nation, as all other changes to legionary armor were gradual. This is a great example of how adaptable the romans were in warfare.
