I know a lot of ppl who go to Taipei but theyre usually chinese. I don't really see the attraction [no offence]

also yeah i've seen those before but they hardly look different tbh. the reason i dont like pao is not because of the pastry or w/e but bc of what's inside.

I myself am often not attracted by the prospect of visiting Taipei either, so none at all taken.

Yes, the filling does make all the difference in the world. And this chef (Mr. Chen I believe, however stereotypical) is guaranteed to change your mind about his craft and profession.

So, what are the pros and cons between a Division based army and a Brigade/Regiment based army?

How big is the army in question? How much territory does it need to cover?

Brigade sounds like a better choice then, they would give you more flexibility. You won't have many divisions and multi-division, let alone multi-corps, operations are basically unfeasible.

Are there any disadvantages of nose or wing stub mounted guns that fire through the propellor compared to wing mounted guns that don't?

There is still a risk of shooting the propeller because it can still fail. It requires room in the fuselage unless on a wing stub or root and might be awkward to reach for maintenance or loading.

This is the only place I can think of to ask this question since it is military, though it is also blatantly alternate history.

Tyrnovo (Tarnovo also works) is a Tsardom located in south-eastern Siberia in a nondescript area of some considerable size, it possesses borders with modern Russia, Mongolia and the PRC, it is however land-locked. On to my point, Tyrnovo has been around since 1742, it has never been part of Greater Russia (The Tsardom, the Empire, the Soviet Union, the Federation), though it is Russianesque itself. My question is thus; I have figured out fairly easy ways to avoid integration into the Tsardom and the Empire and the Federation, the one I cannot is the Soviet Union. It was active in the Second World War (against the Soviets and allied to the Empire of Japan, and only the Empire of Japan) and it tied down a significant amount of the Red Army for a time and fought well enough that it was not annexed in the post-war world.

My question to you all, how do I twist the wings of my butterflies hard enough to achieve not being annexed by one of the most imperialistic nations in history?

Couple options I thought of:

1) allied with Murica
2) Have nukes
3) have big army that is awesome
4) allied with China

Willingly join the warsaw pact. Yeah you accept Soviet dominance and possibly having the odd tank army come to crush the students rising up against the quisling government but unltimately you still retain a reasonable degree of freedom, can trade with the west and maintain and ultimatley actually expand your economy.

or go super mega neutral (in appearances anyway) and follow finland's example.

Can mess with the balance, overheating issues (on the other hand your mags and guns aren't goign to freeze solid) and very limited as to what you can actually fit (i.e. no massed .50cal batteries for you, no quad 20mm either).

Couldn't you possibly have both wing and nose mounted weapons though, say 2 small auto cannons on the nose plus a couple 1/2 in guns on the wings?

If you have capacious wings and wing roots to take the guns, why put them in propeller range?
