Where the Hell Is Springfield? is our trope. We're implied to be in the same geographical area as Korea and Japan, but we're not an island chain and the climate is reminiscent more of Japan's maritime-style climate than of Korea's more continentally-influenced climate.

Hell incarnate where the world could end at any possible moment either due to nuclear detonation or any amount of literally indescribable horror unleashed in the name of The Greater Good. If it's not us who ends it, it'll be the Soviets, or the damn Chinese.

Earth teeters on the brink of annihilation, wrapped in paranoia, doubt and distrust in everything from God to Ideals. It's not a nice place to live.

Our version of Earth was conquered Liberated entirely by The Master Culture, which is the colloquial name of our Nation. The Chosen People are no longer enslaved by vile and bloodthirsty regimes like the "Republic" of Canada, the United States of "America," or "Great" Britain. They are universally recognized by lesser beings as omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent. In fact The Master Culture itself is Omnibenevolent. This is objective fact.

Non-Chosen ethnicities are classified into various castes groups:

The Lowest Caste Group is Hellspawn. This group is reserved for those who originated from the Island Archipelago known as 日本国. These beings are usually shot on sight and are otherwise considered feral and non-sapient. Anyone who demonstrates mercy towards a Hellspawn is immediately executed. Hellspawn who have been captured and placed in zoos have on occasion mated with other castes groups, and such unions and offspring are exterminated immediately regardless of the offender's recorded group affiliation.

It is rumored, however, that Hell, the Island chain from which the Hellspawn originate, is actually a thriving region with high levels of technology but a surprisingly wise aversion to enter Chosen-controlled space. This is a mere unverified rumor, however, for Chosen People are commanded to never approach Hell, whereas many undesirables, unpersons, barbarians, and former near-Chosen who fail to be domesticated properly socialized are banished there: sent to the unmanned facility known as "The Gate of Hell." Many Chosen public servants who approached The Gate of Hell committed suicide rather than stepping on the land of Hell itself, allowing the ship that sent these undesirables to crash on the shores of Hell. Their fate is unknown, as satellites who pass over Hell are shut off to avoid being tainted by the image of Hell. Hellspawn are considered unfit to be slaves and the number of Hellspawn outside of Hell dwindles each passing moonrise.

The Group above Hellspawn is Barbarian. These incorporate many creatures of the Homo genus but especially those from various regions in the Western Hemisphere, Africa, Siberia, and Eastern Europe. Barbarians are also found across the stars, many of whom originate from the land once known as America. Barbarians are known to be very cunning, and tend to have strong weapons technology. But their culture, if it exists, tends to be so appalling to Chosen people that they are considered extremely difficult to domesticate socialize properly. Barbarians are often sterilized to avoid harming Chosen genetics, in a process known as docility. Barbarians are also often culled and put down if they prove to be too hostile to Chosen interests.

The Group above Barbarian is Slave. Barbarians who achieve this status have restricted freedom of movement within acceptable Chosen standards, but are finally valuable property rather than little more than dangerous organisms. Slaves can come from any Group save Hellspawn, and Chosen Slaves are considered the most desirable. Chosen Slaves are the only kind of slaves whose offspring do not remain slaves. Male slaves are often sterilized, while female slaves are... Very desirable products.

The Group above Slave is finally considered Human. They are the Minor Cultures. Minor cultures are recognized for having some beneficial cultural aspects, but these pale in comparison to The Master Culture. Various Middle Eastern, Slavic, and European nations fit in this category. While sterilization of Minor Cultural males is common, it is not considered a "normal" procedure. Minor Cultural organisms are not considered citizens, but are also not animals either. They often work in menial jobs and take the harshest penalties when they fail to properly adopt or demonstrate Chosen values.

The Group above Minor Culture is Near-Chosen and Honorary-Near Chosen. Honorary Near-Chosen come from all groups save Hellspawn: even former slaves can become Honorary Near-Chosen. Honorary-Near Chosen are those who have successfully assimilated into The Master Culture. They take Chosen surnames, renounce all cultural and social ties with their former groups, and properly serve the nation and worship Kong Qingdong. Several cities and population centers who were famous for sheltering or otherwise providing assistance to the Chosen People were granted Honorary Near-Chosen status, such as the city of John Day, Oregon. The people of neighboring Canyon City, Oregon were unanimously degraded from Barbarian to Hellspawn, and were glassed from orbit. Unmanned drones confirmed that they were all righteously and benevolently exterminated, and we take pride in this accomplishment. Truly, it was a demonstration of our Omnibenevolence!

Near-Chosen people hail from various civilizations in Central, East, and Southeast Asia, with the sole exception of Hell. There have been many violent debates over the inclusion of various Southeast Asian nations to the ranks of the Near-Chosen (as opposed to Minor Culture), but those who are more welcoming successfully silenced those who were not. Near-Chosen people are second-class citizens with less legal rights and recourse than Chosen ones. The penalty for crimes against them is less than that committed against Chosen people, for instance.

This changes when a Near-Chosen person, like an Honorary Near-Chosen, renounces all ties to his or her previous group, takes a Chosen surname, adopts all Chosen values, and Worships Kong Qingdong properly. Near-Chosen who commit to such values automatically become Chosen, and are granted all the rights and privileges of Chosen people. A surprising number of Near-Chosen have refused to take this step, but Kong Qingdong has stated for the record that is probably because they are genetically closer to dogs and cats.

The final, greatest Group is the Chosen People. All Chosen People are citizens of The Master Culture. All Chosen People Worship Kong Qingdong. All Chosen People embody Chosen values. Chosen People who fail to do this become Slaves or are Executed. Some have even fallen into true depravity like partaking of Barbarian cuisine and have thus become Hellspawn who probably live in Hell (they are sent on ships towards Hell, but the crews of said ships commit suicide just before the ship reaches landfall).

The Entire World belongs to the Chosen People, and they shall use its great resources to liberate the Universe and ensure that all beings Worship The Master Culture and Kong Qingdong!

The worlds of the Vrree Nations (the habitable ones at least) are your typical sci-fi "jungle planet", but with a bit more realism and weirdness at the same time.

It's almost like RL Earth, only with generic counterpart cultures and nations...and occasional electromagnetic anomalies prone to have funny effects on people's perception of reality, often leading to anthropomorphism and varying degrees of "realism".

It's a three dimensional brane floating in a fourth dimensional word similar to how our RL universe is. All the laws of my canon universe is the same as ours. The world is the same except for the fact that the political landscape is riddled with ever constant wars both big and small, there is no UN nor WA to keep order to the world and as a result, the great powers run amok in the world.

It's the RL world except with the group of islands forming Kalosia existing in between Spain, France, and Italy. For RP purposes where none of the existing countries are RL, it can be a bit more flexible but the shape of the Kalosian map remains the same.

We are in a Cold War between the United States and the Western World, overall. Of course, our relations with the United Socialist Soviet Republics isn't great either, but not at such levels.

Well, its essentially just earth as it is normally except with a tiny change in the Cold War where the USSR territorialized a bunch of islands (Including this one, which is based off of a real island btw), and then the US invaded and stole all of the other islands that used to be a part of the island nation this island was in. When the USSR collapsed, there was such a disconnect from the previous nation (Especially because this island wasn't the capital) that the people chose to found a new nation.

Now it is 2015 and is mostly identicall to normal earth however it does include a new alliance called The Commonwealth of Socialist States.

It's just like Earth IRL, apart from the mythical creatures such as unicorns, pegasi, griffons, other talking colorful equines, humans with animal bits on them, elves, dwarves, vampires, dragons, physical deities of varying degrees of importance, and a mostly central God to rule them all.

Yes, we have loads of magical beings, most of them are either Pony or Human; griffons are significant. Also, we have magic, blatant disregard to realism, and references to fictional stories. Technology is often combined with magic, making this Earth more advanced since magic enhances technology.

The world of CAS is huge full of Caucasian atheist and super technological nations, also when there's a war it changes everything. But in the world there is this tall handsome nation called Aydean and the nation is single.

I heard if your a female nation Aydean is like the best for you. But the world is cool though.

[Imperium Sidhicum]

The Imperium's "known world" spans roughly 1/100 of the Milky Way galaxy. It is by no means a thoroughly-explored 1/100 - think of it as bubbles of charted space scattered in a roughly-spherical pattern, with vast stretches of unexplored void in between.

The known space is inhabited by Sidhae, as well as diverse human factions and various alien species. The entire Sidh race is united under the banner of the Imperium. Most of humanity is ruled over by the Federation of Mankind. Unlike the centralized Imperium, however, Federation is more of an alliance of sovereign human worlds and planetary unions, pursuing a joint economic, military and foreign policy, but not much more than that. There are also numerous independent human worlds and empires, most notably the Commonwealth of Altoris, the only human nation other than the Federation with enough economic and military power to hold it's own against the Imperium to any degree. The largest power in the known galaxy, however, is the alien Skargh Empire - a brutish and warlike civilization of reptilians. Asides from the Skargh, there are also several servitor races living in their realm, most notably the Woggos - a primitive ape-like race resembling giant orangutans, the serpent-like Slithereens, and several others rarely seen in regions bordering with Sidhae and humans.

The universe the Imperium exists in is a dark, brutish and bleak one, plagued by incessant warfare, genocide and brutality. The barbarous Skargh hordes are ever out raiding for resources and slaves, waging war to please their bloodthirsty gods with sacrifices of enemy heads and blood. The Federation is dominated by corrupt and immoral mega-corporations exploiting countless billions and reducing many a verdant world to an industrial wasteland. The Imperium itself is so heavily militarized to stand up against the combined might of these two great enemies as to effectively become an army with a state, national economy being little more than a life support for the military. Fortunately for Sidhae, humans and the Skargh also hate each other at least as much as they hate Sidhae.

The known space in it's present state has the three superpowers locked in a perpetual stalemate, even the combined might of any two powers being insufficient to completely overwhelm the third without effectively destroying themselves in the process. While major military operations do take place from time to time, their results are usually indecisive, yielding minimal territorial gains at best - neither side is willing to go all in and start a new Age of War that would surely reduce the spacefaring civilizations back to barbarity. Informally, though, Sidhae and humans have struck a grudging alliance - while officially their respective nations remain at war and battle over disputed worlds almost constantly, they are also known to temporarily set aside their feud and fight side by side whenever the Skargh launch a major operation against one or the other.

In short, the Imperium's world is no place for the meek, the timid and the complacent. People in this age are tough, cynical, and suspicious of everyone other than their own.

More specifically, the seat of all power in the Imperium, the Homeworld, the Capital, home of the First Fleet, and host to 6 Billion Imperial Citizens.
New Harron.

Bit of backstory, New Harron, or just Harron, as it was originally called, was destroyed in a massive war that I really should write a factbook about one of these days. Long story short, the surface was left desolate, and most cites had been either leveled entirely, or reduced to Fallout-Style ruins. About 2 Billion people survived, a few million in massive underground structures built by the more paranoid world powers in the event of this exact thing happening, and the rest on the Surface, with the few standing governments, most of which were formed from Survivors, or the Terrorist Groups that set this whole thing off to begin with. A few-years long conflict between upstart governments, and the last one standing, the Imperial States, which would then rename itself, to the Imperium of Tinfect, despite the objections of the natives of dominated regions. It was then, with only 3 years worth of supplies remaining, and a handful of colony ships, that they set off to a neighboring world in search of a way to restore Harron, which they incidentally re-named New Harron afterward. Long story short, they found it, and with the technology, New Harron was restored to a glorious Terran World, with much of the native-life having been preserved through a variety of methods.

Now, where once stood the glittering steel and glass high-rises, and skyscrapers of modern living, the Imperium has risen into a new era. Cities are dominated by massive State Buildings, styled in a similar fashion to Cathedrals, the buildings are host to colossal black spires, often bearing symbols, or banners of the Imperium. The cities themselves are planned to the point of insanity, each one being constructed on a grid to align with other cities on the grid, the only roads are straight lines, and cities often extend into each-other, making the distinctions between them difficult to discern. Large portions of them are off-limits for vehicles, giving way to broad streets lined with Businesses, or Homes. All construction is carried out by the Imperium, both to ensure fulfillment of the City Plan, and to ensure architectural uniformity. From the outside, the Cities have the appearance of colossal fortresses, usually lined with 20 Meter walls, interspersed with Orbital Guns, Anti-Aircraft Towers, and more conventional Automated turrets for defense against land-base threats.

The people are safe, and free, at least, they believe themselves to be so. Internally, the Imperium is controlled by Civil Overseer Andersen Saar, who, while genuinely caring for the People of the Imperium, is fully capable of resorting to more extreme methods of culling obedience from the Populace. Most people, however, know little of this, seeing him as a shining example of Imperial success following the borderline incompetent predecessor. Stay in line, obey the Imperium, and keep out of the way, and your life will be fine. All necessary for your survival, and a good quality of life, will be provided by the Imperium. Disturb this order, however, and you will see first-hand the truth of the Imperium. There is a reason Internal Security is seemingly inescapable, and it is exactly what you might expect.

Technology has flourished under the Imperium, FTL Travel is widely used by the State, and rare Private Transport industries, Artificial Intelligence has reached Sentience, and trials of Sapient Artificial Intelligence are promising. Cybernetic Augmentation is ubiquitous, and state-subsidized, every part of the human body can be replaced with a far superior model, developed by the State-Controlled scientists who dedicate their research to the advancement of all humanity, and more importantly, the Imperium. New technologies are being introduced at an astounding rate, and with the significant acquisition of resources in recent times, the Imperium has begun to truly implement many of them, with the dated Battleships of decades ago being refit, and redesigned for a new era.

But that is not all that has been successful. Much Imperial technology is derived from stolen technology from other Nations, often the neighboring Archailects, or nations unfortunate enough to have been caught in the path of the Imperial War Machine. "New" developments are often just Technologies Imperial Intelligence has deemed acceptable to release to the public, and Augmentation has gone to unprecedented heights, with the process of Digital Immortality routinely carried out on important Government Figures, or Intelligence Operatives. Sapient AIs have seen use in conflicts to brutal success, often resulting in the complete extinction of belligerent Empires. Humanity is rapidly becoming obsolete, and the Imperium will soon reach a point where there are but two options; join with the future, or be left to burn in the fires of old.

Behind the scenes, tensions rise between Augmented Humans, and the so-called 'Baseliners', humans who have elected not to become augmented, with reports of violence breaking out across the Imperium. As the numbers of Baseline humans dwindle from simple obsolescence, a disturbing trend has arisen on both sides of the line. The Adherents of the Flame, once a minor religion of only a few thousand members near the rise of the Imperium, have grown in numbers to now claim 11% of the population of the Imperium. Their ideals, while often incomprehensible to those not of the faith, often align with the goals of the Imperium, in increasingly obscure ways.

The Military, once near-totally isolationist, has become increasingly aggressive in recent years, with all but a few of the smaller empires sitting on the Imperial Border having been annihilated since the appointment of Military Overseer Frederik Steiner. The Fourth Fleet has doubled in size, with all Rassvet Dreadnoughts, Planetcrackers, and much of the Third Fleet being reassigned to its service, with far more on the way as the fleet modernizes. Hundreds of ships are being constructed, refitted, or simply decommissioned every day, leaving the largely obsolete and unprepared Shipyards of the Imperium working constantly to keep pace with Imperial Mandate. Military Recruitment campaigns have become ubiquitous, allowing the formation of 13 more IAF Legions since his appointment, and easily keeping pace with the crew-requirements of the expanded Navy.

Ships of previously unthinkable scale are now entering production, often armed with Technologies new even to Imperial Intelligence, these vessels will pave the way for Imperial dominance over the galaxy. Antimatter weapons, previously thought only suitable as an explosive, are being designed as a new generation of Particle Projection weapons. The true power of Subspace as a force greater than FTL is rapidly becoming understood on a scale far greater than the Planetcrackers of only a few decades ago. Nanotechnology is being explored as a method of Construction, and as a weapon against the Imperium's many enemies.

But the Imperium equally understands the strengths of Diplomacy. In stark contrast to the brutal isolationism of previous centuries, the Diplomatic Overseer Alexander Markhov has made great strides in obtaining International Power. New, powerful alliances are being forged, and the xenophobia bred in previous years is slowly being broken down as the people come to understand that perhaps not all forms of alien life are quite so bad. But all is not peace and love, for these alliances seek to create a Military force capable of taking on even the greatest of threats, all in the name of the Imperium.

An infinite plane of landfill piled onto the ultimate personification of rabid and mindless consumption. Continental nerves stretched across infinity. Chaos that even the quantum cannot compete with. The rubble and ruins of a formerly infinite trans-timelinear government now at the mercy of its refuse. Home to fungus hive minds everywhere. A hyperconceptual amalgamation of bad places.

A largely depopulated earth with several uninhabitable zones. Inhabited by about a third of Earth's current population.

Not post apocalyptic, since civilization never collapsed. Just a much smaller population and different civilizations yet unformed (and a few familiar ones) present on the global stage.

Technology has regressed considerably, and can be loosely described as "dieselpunk". Traditionalists were the majority of people left behind after the exodus, as a result, societies are generally nationalistic, with technology advancing and being designed seperately, allowing for different asthetics.

Most major nations are large but well dispersed through uninhabited wilds, wastelands, petty warlords, or massive tribal reservations.
Most larger nations being federations of city states.

It takes place on an alternate version of Earth, known as "Urth". This alternate version has had the Planet of Equestria fuse into it during it's formation, eventually making it 20x larger than our Earth. In addition, we also have many new races living on the planet, such as sapient ponies, pegasi, unicorns, Griffons, Preators, and many more. It takes place in 2065, about 600 years after a cataclysmic event known as "The Great War". This event saw many of the world's leading powers go at eachother in full-spectrum warfare. It ended when a rouge member of the peace coalition transferred schematics for nuclear weapons to all sides, eventually causing apocalyptic levels of destruction. This destruction was so bad, it practically reset technological development up until this time, causing many new technologies which already existed then to be lost until now.

For the next 100 years, the world would be consumed by chaos and destruction, as with no governments, raiders, bandits, slavers, and misguided organizations rained supreme in the radioactive rubble that was left over. In addition, lots of pre-War wildlife was mutated, causing starvation from food poisoning. Also, inhuman abominations gave rise, such as the Diamond Dog, feral Orc, and others, which are still present today in some quantities. Some friendly settlements gave rise, which eventually became cities that are still around today. It wasn't until 5 years later, a group of Wastelanders lead by the one known as "The Lightbringer", changed the destroyed planet into something different. Afterwards, new societies emerged, and the flora, fauna and wildlife grew back over the next 495 years. These new societies would go on to form thousands of different nation-states. After a while, society turned almost completely back to normal, even surpassing the quality of pre-War times. Many nations had neo-futuristic technology, giving rise to a new age. Ammerinia (AKA The Empire) had the most technological wonders at it's disposal, causing it to be the most advanced society on Urth. Still though, the nature of the beings on Urth did not change at all, and many smaller wars raged on into the modern age.

In regards to outside of Urth, the solar system is very similar to that of the Earth inhabits, except there are many additional planets (39 in total, with even more moons), and alien races inhabit the same system. The system is surrounded by a meta-magnetic cloud field (a cloud that contained enough cosmic rays to reduce any craft at the time into quark particles) which prevented further exploration until the year 2047, when an internationally-backed space probe was launched outside of the system, revealing what was known as the NS Multiverse; a gigantic expansion of space suspended in time, housing many other planets like Urth with many other nations on them, as well as gates to other dimensions, uninhabited star-systems, alternate universes, and many more things.

We do posses FTL travel, although we are still not considered FT, as there is too much terrestrial-based things happening to count. Plus, we've haven't even started to explore the NS mutliverse.

tl;dr : Post-cyberpunk sci-fi setting, but with fantasy and modern elements.

The world of this nation is really hectic.

Imagine all of the video game canons that are not overly fantasy, from Assassin's Creed to Battlefield, and mash that up with a perspective of the United States. We've already had the Prototype canon in New York, Call of Duty canon all over the modern day USA, and even Bioshock Infinite and the original Bioshocks happening in the early days. Also, imagine Fallout with more modern weaponry alongside Mad Max and even Halo and Mass Effect coming into play.
