Ka-60 is suitable for things the AS365 Dauphin does.

Well, if you want a cheaper alternative, then using weapons that fire pistol-cartridge rounds would be a good solution.

If you're JUST fighting in an urban setting at close-quarters/knife fighting range, and you wanna save money because you're on the brink of losing, a cheap little machine gun is probably much more economic and useful than a hunting rifle

though I won't argue with the 5.56

the cheapest weapon to produce for something like that would be something like the STEN, basically a pipe and spring. But in any situation in which you actually produce weapons not in last ditch make shift work shops, compact rifles/carbines like the M4 are a far superior weapon to any SMG.
