The government of the Numolandic People's Republic has come up with a way to classify nations based on how well they treat tourists. All nations will fall into one of 5 groups:

Very Friendly
These nations are the most ideal tourist destinations. They have pleasant weather and very low crime. The governments of these nations are very tourist-oriented, and the people are friendly and accommodating, with excellent knowledge of foreign languages and the willingness to be helpful. Tourists are treated with the utmost respect in these nations, sometimes even better than the locals.

Friendly
In these nations, the government supports tourism, although to a lesser extent than the "Very Friendly" nations. They can make good travel destinations, but outside of popular tourist areas and major cities, the people may not have a good understanding of foreign languages.

Normal
These nations treat tourists the same as their citizens: not better, but not worse.

Unfriendly
Nations are classified as "Unfriendly" if their government policies discourage tourism, or if their citizens treat tourists with contempt. However, these nations are not considered to be dangerous for tourists.

Tourist Hellhole
The "Tourist Hellhole" rating is reserved for nations that represent an actual danger to tourists. Tourists in these nations have a high risk of being killed or imprisoned. Travelling to these nations should always be avoided.

3. How prevalent is racism, xenophobia, and homophobia in your nation? Racism and homophobia, yes. Xenophobia, not applicable, as our people are not taught about the existence of other nations.
4. How well do citizens speak foreign languages, particularly English? English is not foreign for us, and we speak it quite well, but with a Southern accent.
5. How are tourists viewed by the citizens? By the government? The Happy Patrol keeps an eye on foreigners to make sure they don't frown. Frowning is illegal in Uncle Happy and punishable by death, and the Happy Patrol is allowed to execute offenders on the spot. Even if the Happy Patrol doesn't catch them, they still have to watch out for heavily armed vigilante citizens.

7. What is your nation's weather like? Hot and dry, around 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
8. Is your nation in a war or civil war? No, the Happy Patrol is quick to extinguish any sign of unrest.

Laredo is not recommended as a tourist destination for those who wish to wear religious clothing or jewelry, or for those who wish to express their religious views.

5. How are tourists viewed by the citizens? By the government? Citizens view tourists with wary curiosity, but will usually warm up to them if interaction goes well. There are the tourists zones, being the only places tourists can actually go because anywhere else no one will take foreign money so you can't even get a glass of water or a cab. Than there is the whole money scheme where any money you bring in is deposited in your tourist account and you are given a pay card that only works within tourist zones. Than of course there are our various "medical tourism" services. And really a huge tourist industry controlled by the state.

Largely temperate but our southern most areas are considered subtropical and one of our islands is tropical. 10. Are there any politically or religiously motivated attacks? The last political motivated attacks were by a radical feminist group about 7 years ago they have since been arrested or killed in during a firefight during the final arrest raid. Religious attacks have not occurred for over 15 years.

Only two outbreaks have ever reached "epidemic" level since that point rapid reaction disease control teams have been created to combat potential epidemics so far they have been very successful. Natural disasters are less common than the world average but still happen. We only have one active volcano which is in the ocean on an uninhabited island. Earthquakes are mostly relegated to the Eastern Desert Mountain Range which is the only major fault-line in the country and is a barrier mountain range, the deserts nearby are sparsely populated. Hurricanes occur but are rarely severe and early warning systems are in place.

3. How prevalent is racism, xenophobia, and homophobia in your nation? Racism, xenophobia, and homophobia is widely nonexistent in Vampirum. However, there is a certain distrust of humans due to many years of bad history between them and vampires. More vampires have become accepting of humans since the modern age.
4. How well do citizens speak foreign languages? Most Vampirians can speak fluent English, Romanian, and Danish. Some also speak Shadish, the old language of the vampires.
5. How are tourists viewed by the citizens? By the government? Ovanshire, the nation's capital, is always welcoming to tourists and dedicate certain areas of the city to them (such as hotels, recommended sights, etc). There are some areas (mostly those dominated by traditional/conservative vampires) that aren't recommended for tourists. But Vampirum hosts tourists on a yearly bases with several cities open to them at all times.
6. Are there guided tours in different languages? Yes, including the four main languages spoken in Vampirum. There are also guided tours in Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and even Icelandic. There are more being added regularly.
7. What is your nation's weather like? Vampirum is moderately cold year round. Most tourists who visit Vampirum are accustomed to cold/snowy weather, or are looking for a winter getaway.
