No, I mean regular shells - with just enough tracking to follow a laser dot painted by the firing tank. Modern tank rounds have stabilization fins anyway, I don't think it's a huge stretch to assume they could be used for minor course changes.
Unless it is. Hence the question.

The problem I see is, that modern APDS is just a metal rod. How do you want to slap guidance into it? (and steering. etc)
Fordorsia wrote:I'd think APDS is too accurate and powerful and optics are too good for it to even need to be guided.

I figured a small sensor on the front and minimal cased wires on the outside leading to fins.Fordorsia wrote:I'd think APDS is too accurate and powerful and optics are too good for it to even need to be guided.
Then I probably won't do it. It was just a thought.

to make it simple though.. The quadcopter only carrying sensors, power will be generated off board and delivered via cable. All processing will mostly be done from the tank. It won't be fly high.. Maybe 5-10 meters at max.

Queen Models I, II and III, the latter two having been up-armored.
So far, as a stat block, they are all about 10m long, have a 7.62 coaxial gun, a 130mm cannon, a 20mm RWS (not sure if I have enough daka yet, so shush) There will be the usual 3 person crew, and the usual assortment of radios and whatnot.
