Civil Rights Groups

Postby Elysian Kentarchy » Sun Dec 14, 2014 12:55 am

To be straight forward what Civil Rights Groups are there in your nation? There are several follow up questions of course.

1. What are those rights groups called if they exist?
2. Are they actually legal in your country? If they are legal are they government encouraged or sponsored? If they are not what action does the government take against them? Is it actually a mix of the two and if so how?
3. What minority or government action do they support or want?
4. Are they peaceful or violent?
5. Do they get along and negotiate with your government or refuse to do so?
6. How large are they?
7. What is the common strategy they use to gain support and spread their message?
8. What does the average person in your country think about them?
9. Are they only in your country or do foreign countries support support them?
10. Are they actually effective?

To answer on behalf of Elysia.

1. Yes we have a civil rights group. It is called the Movement for Democracy.
2. Technically yes but technically no. They are permitted to exist because of our freedom of speech law but the government opposes them at every turn.
3. They want a democratic government in Elysia as opposed to the military government.
4. Peaceful most of the time but occasionally violent.
5. They refuse to negotiate with the Protostrategos' government
6. Very small.
7. Posters and marches.
8. They are a pack of terrorists, hypocrites, and liars (hence why they have such low numbers)
9. Truth be told they have more foreign support than they do support from actual Elysians.
10. No not really, but they are still opposed even if they are not a real threat.

Celivaia wrote:"Today is a great day. Recently, we completed a project that will greatly help the Salarian Union in it's fight, and while I cannot divulge information about this project, I am pleased to announce that this project was no small feat, and for his dedication, work, and pure, brilliant genius, we have a special award for this Salarian. We cannot divulge the name of this operative, but we have given him a special award, the "Star of the Union," and as an added bonus, we have decided to rename this, our home planet, after him. As of this moment, you are now standing on Solus'Kesh."
