Founded as a collection of tribal kingdoms well before the arrival and influence of Europeans, the Empire of Chrinthanium has been in existence, in its various forms, since the early 1400's. Occupying nearly 12 million square kilometers of land, the 1.2 billion (RP population) Chrinthani are a wide and varied mix of cultures, religions, and races. The modern empire blends centuries old monarchy with modern democracy to afford our citizens the proverbial best of both worlds. It is a socially-liberal society that does not discriminate based on race, religion or lack thereof, ability or disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, or other labels which humans assign to others and themselves. Headquartered in the nation's second-largest city, Ithansia, the government concerns itself with providing our citizens the best opportunities to make better lives for themselves through progressive policies in education, health, and economic mobility. Chrinthanium's major industries include information technology, mining, tourism, agriculture. Chrinthani citizens enjoy a high standard of living with a GDP per capita equivilent to around 49,000 US Dollars.

The Empire of Chrinthanium strives to uphold the highest standards of international law regarding diplomats and their duty. The Empire respects the privilege of diplomatic immunity and extraterritoriality that most nations afford diplomats. Your diplomat will privy to all the privileges that come with his office and his chancery. While Chrinthanium respects and upholds diplomatic immunity, it is not a "get out of jail free card." If a reasonable and substantial case can be brought against your diplomat in a court of law for high crimes, the Chrinthani government will have no choice but to request either your government withdraw your diplomats immunity in order to pursue legal action, or, failing that, to declare your diplomat persona non grata.
Chrinthanium requires that all nations wishing to apply for an embassy attain a minimum (NS) population of 500 million. That is the bare minimum requirement. If your nation falls below this mark, you may be granted a consulate instead. Chrinthanium maintains no other requirements to gain access to an embassy in our nation. However, nations involved in egregious violations of civil and human rights or who sponsor terrorism either directly or indirectly may be turned down. These issues will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
The Government of Chrinthanium has established the following restrictions and limitation as to the amount of cars, diplomatic staff, and security services that are permitted in embassies on Chrinthani soil. Foreign governments are asked to respect these guidelines when applying for an embassy. If there are special needs and extra staffing or transportation arrangements are necessary, there will be a portion of the application in which such requirements can be listed and a reasonable explanation as to their need included.
- A maximum of two luxury sedans, armored if so preferred, for transportation of the ambassador and his guests,
- A maximum of three sport utility vehicles (SUVs) for transportation of security staff,
- A maximum of 20 diplomatic staffers to assist in the operation of the diplomatic mission (to include household service staff),
- A maximum of 12 security staff,
- Security forces are permitted to carry light weapons with which to protect your diplomat in the unlikely event of a security breach (standard pistols and sub-machine guns). Military-grade weapons are expressly prohibited,
- Ithanisia, the capital city and the city in which your embassy will be located, is a sprawling metropolis of 59 million (including metro area) and as such air traffic can be quite congested at times, thus we are not currently approving the use of helicopters by diplomats or their staff. If there is a great need for such transportation, there are numerous charter operators that can assist for a very minimal fee.

Embassies are located in the Diplomatic District of Ithansia, to the North and East of the Central Business District and nearby the Imperial Palace and the main government offices. The district is bordered to the South by Keilvarga Avenue, to the North by Trenton Avenue, to the East by Dariopolis Avenue, to the West by Emperor Alexander V BLVD. The locations below are currently open and ready for occupants. If you have special needs, you will be required to pay the additional costs on upgrades and improvements to the already-existing locations (which are built for human occupancy) if those special needs so require augmentation to the existing building.

Emperor Alexander V BLVD does not have embassy space, but is merely a landscaped parkway leading from the city center to the Imperial Palace.
Consulates operate under the same terms and conditions as embassies with the exception of the population requirement. Nations who are granted a consulate in Chrinthanium based upon failure to meet the population requirement will be granted a consulate in our capital city only. Nations who are granted an embassy in our capital city can request additional consulates in the following cities: Kensington, Dariopolis, and Cardona.
