Maintaining the status quo. We have already massacred the Low class and replaced them with robots, preventing a revolution. The Middle class has been genetically modified into idiot-savants barely capable of wiping their own asses without robotic aid. (Their robotic aides are controlled by the High class.) The only issue is that every single individual of the High class believes that they, and they alone, should have complete and absolute power. Similarly, the three factions of the High (the Monarchy, the Party and the Church) each thinks itself the only legitimate Government.

We have no interest in expansion, because that would ruin the balance of power. We have no interest in technology, progress, alliances or anything else because those too would ruin the balance of power.
