1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): The offender is offered a 1 month ultimatum to pay back exactly the amount owed upon their first offense. If they pay it, they are relieved of all charges beyond a black mark on their private record. If that ultimatum is not taken or it is a repeat offense, they must pay back all taxes owed and a penalty to the tune of up to 40% of the amount owed. If they refuse/cannot pay, they will be incarcerated. If the offender is financially unable to pay, they are forced into community service to pay.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts.
Crime(y/n): No
Punishment(If Any): Bankruptcy is a civil case and is dealt between the bank and the individual. A government loan that cannot be paid cannot be punished with imprisonment. A citizen may voluntarily give themselves up to indentured servitude in both cases.

3. A citizen robs something.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): A robbery with little to no injuries to a person is a Class C offense. A robbery done with a firearm is a Class B offense. And a robbery in which someone is grievously hurt but not killed is a Class A offense. Class C offenses vary in punishment depending on the circumstances (robbery done out of desperation usually results in indentured servitude). Class B offenses result in 5-20 years of imprisonment depending on the severity and previous record. Class A offenses are 10-25 years in a regional work camp.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex.
Crime(y/n): N
Punishment(If Any): A government employee discriminating or segregating can be fired and the State has no obligation to provide a lawyer if the victim sues. Businesses are also handled this way. Businesses have the right to segregate or discriminate but they can expect no support from the government if they are brought to trial.

5. A citizen is a prostitute.
Crime(y/n): N
Punishment(If Any): If the person is an employee in a brothel, casino, or equivalent, it is legal. Licensing is done through the Ministry of Works and the Regional Health Administration. Employing prostitutes without a license results in 3-6 years in prison or equivalent in fines as well as a full audit on the business. Prostitutes who are caught working outside of these working areas can be fined or audited for further investigation.

6. A citizen does marijuana.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): The distributor can be imprisoned for up to 5 years while users can be fined and forced to attend a rehabilitation clinic of their choice for however long the employees of said rehabilitation clinic require them for. They must also participate in a full investigation in order to help prosecute the distributor. If the user remains clean for one year after leaving the clinic, their public criminal record of the event (which can be viewed by employers) is wiped.

7. A citizen does cocaine.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): The distributor can be imprisoned for up to 30 years while users can be "imprisoned" in a hospital/rehabilitation center of their choice, unable to leave the premises without written notification from a doctor of the center. The user must also participate in the investigation to find the distributor. If the user remains clean for three year after leaving the clinic, their public criminal record of the event (which can be viewed by employers) is wiped.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): Depends on the nature of the drug. It follows the same type of pattern as cocaine or marijuana. However, tobacco is not considered a drug nor is alcohol.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): Investigation of activities and up to $10,000 in fines. No jail time can be issued unless there is a very strong probable cause of being involved in terrorist or communist groups.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of.
Crime(y/n): Y (with exceptions)
Punishment(If Any): The Ministry of Finances can choose to make the melting of certain coins legal with a 5 month notice to all citizens. This is usually done to discontinue a coin. This was done with the 10 Pun piece to discontinue it. A citizen melting down a coin that is not legal to melt can be charged with $5,000 fine and up to 100 hours of community service.

11. A person without a passport enters your country (AKA Illegally Immigrating)
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): Immediate deportation. If a colonial does this, they are deported back to the District Area and the Chancellor of the District Area may choose to punish them accordingly.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes.
Crime(y/n): y
Punishment(If Any): For Us (i.e. The One Percent), a promise that we will never, ever do such a thing again, until the next time. For those who are not-Us, crippling fines, interest charges and garnishment of wages.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts.
Crime(y/n): y
Punishment(If Any): For Us, same as #1. For those who are not-Us, permanent damage to their credit rating, garnishment of wages and crippling legal bills.

3. A citizen robs something.
Crime(y/n): y
Punishment(If Any): For Us, same as #1 and #2. For those who are not-Us, arrest, imprisonment, permanent felony record negatively affecting earning potential, usually leading to more crime and more imprisonment. One of every hundred of Our citizens are currently imprisoned; the proportion for the economically disadvantaged and racial minorities is significantly higher.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex.
Crime(y/n): y
Punishment(If Any): For Us, same as #1, #2 and #3. For those who are not-Us, potential serious fines and imprisonment.

<snip>

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation.
Crime(y/n): n
Punishment(If Any): Social ostracism, possible bodily harm from outraged bystanders. Whether or not it should be a crime to burn the Usian flag is one of the issues We allow to fester to take your attention away from the fact that We control every significant aspect of your lives. A proposal has been made to legalize the burning of any flag a politician may have wrapped him or herself in.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of.
Crime(y/n): n
Punishment(If Any): Go nuts; the metal content of every Usian coin (with the exception of the President Donald McRonald commemorative $50 coin, made of 999 fine gold and legal tender for all debts other than paying taxes) is far less than its face value so We may profit from the seigniorage.

11. A person without a passport enters your country (AKA Illegally Immigrating)
Crime(y/n): y
Punishment(If Any): Theoretically, deportation and a bar from entry for ten years. In practice, no punishment as a steady supply of undocumented immigrants is needed in order to keep wages low, increasing Our profits.

3. A citizen robs something.

Punishment(If Any): The citizen will be fined for the value of the item, plus a hefty fine on top, or will be jailed for an appropriate length of time. Alternatively indentured servitude to the person robbed may be required.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex.
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): A fine, and community service.

5. A citizen is a prostitute.
Crime(y/n): No.

Punishment(If Any): Jail time.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation.
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Jail time and a hefty fine.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of.

Punishment(If Any): Failing to realize that the coins' face value is often several times higher than the coin's base metal value, and losing money as a result.

11. A person without a passport enters your country (AKA Illegally Immigrating)
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Jail time, fine, deportation, or indentured servitude.

Note: Indentured servitude is in many ways comparable to slavery, despite being a profoundly different concept.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes.
Crime(y/n):Yes, technically. Important to note that almost everything is done by household(actually a large extended family) in Dirthkos, including taxes.
Punishment(If Any): Public humiliation, flogging for the head of household, and in extreme cases(repeat offenders), confiscation of assets.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts.
Crime(y/n):Yes, although the same note as above applies.
Punishment(If Any): Public humiliation, flogging, and in extreme cases(repeat offenses, extremely large debts, etc.), confiscation of assets.

3. A citizen robs something.
Crime(y/n):Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Public flogging and humiliation, followed by a term as a laborer for the local government, followed by (generally) some pretty nasty punishments from the head of household when they get out.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex.
Crime(y/n): No. Most Dirthkosis segregate based on gender roles because it is an efficient way to assign tasks, and typically discrimination based on skin color fits in under discrimination based on species; all Dirthkosis have the same skin color, and given their disgust for non-Dirthkosis, it's only natural that they would prefer to interact with foreigners that look more like Dirthkosis than their fellows.
Punishment(If Any):

5. A citizen is a prostitute.
Crime(y/n):Not technically, but any citizen who is can expect a pretty nasty punishment from their head of household.
Punishment(If Any):

6. A citizen does marijuana.
Crime(y/n):Yes. Dirthkosis are generally relatively sensitive to drugs, and tend to punish their use harshly as an example.
Punishment(If Any): Public flogging and humiliation, plus whatever the head of household decides to do to them.

7. A citizen does cocaine.
Crime(y/n):Yes. See above.
Punishment(If Any): See above.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug.
Crime(y/n):Yes in most cases, but alcohol is allowed, although it is uncommon and heavily stigmatized.
Punishment(If Any): See above.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation.
Crime(y/n):Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Public execution.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of.
Crime(y/n):No. Our coins have a face value greater(often significantly greater) than the materials they are made of; Dirthkosis generally prefer that to making laws forbidding the practice.
Punishment(If Any):

11. A person without a passport enters your country (AKA Illegally Immigrating)
Crime(y/n):Yes.
Punishment(If Any):Public flogging, a term as a public servant(does not mean bureaucrat; actually an indentured servant to the state.), and deportation.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes.
Crime(y/n): Y
Punishment(If Any): None, because it can't happen. The tax bot literally stands at the Raid Dropoff Points and collects the tax the moment you sell your raided resources. If you don't sell at a Raid Dropoff Point, there is no tax (but the quality of the Energon will be lousy, so just pay). Also, non-raided goods are not taxed.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts.
