The police of Nuwe Suid Afrika are to be treated with the utmost respect. The police of Nuwe Suid Afrika fall under the same category as military units, due to their expertise and class of work.

The police units are known as the 'Civil-Protection of Nuwe Suid Afrika', or CNSA for short. The average training time takes 6 months to become a standardized Cadet Class I.

The ranking system goes as follows, displaying from the lowest to highest rank. The ranking system has also been translated from Latin to English for increased ease of readability.

Cadet I
Cadet II
Cadet III
Corporal I
Corporal II
Sergeant I
Sergeant II
Lieutenant
Major
Commander
Deputy
Colonel I
Colonel II
Commissioner
Superintendent

The Cadre and Specialty systems work in very different ways from the standard way of police departments across the world.

The Cadre system works to keep too few people from housing too much power. In order to do this, 250 people are appointed in a single Cadre. Of these people, they are to be placed in the 15 ranks. Only 5 people may hold the Superintendent title at once. Of these 250 people, 30 are appointed in the Specialty system.

The Specialty systems (the NPST Program) however, work to those who possess the ability to go above and beyond the standard police officer. Those who score a 7.5 or higher on the NPST are recognized as a Specialty Unit in training. Specialty Units are renowned for their exceeding strength, speed, and intelligence. Those who are in the NPST Program go into the Sniper Cell Division, the Tactical Arms Division, or the Drop-Force Combat Division.

The Standard armory of a CSNA Officer includes the Lahti L-35 Luger, and a 9M VOLT Electric Charged Nightstick. Accessories authorized by the Nuwe Suid Afrikan government include a standard Motorola RAZR, two sets of handcuffs, and two sets of zip-ties.

The Hjertan police are well trained in the art of self control and have a violence last policy. None of the Regular police carry any guns of any kind instead carrying around telescopic police batons and tasers.

Each of the fifteen counties of Guivria has its own policing service (usually termed constabularies in official parlance). These services only have jurisdiction within their own counties, and concern themselves with administration of justice and public peacekeeping. There are stations of these police forces in most towns, and police most often serve their town of residence.

Each county also has several stations of gendarmerie (military police), part of the Guivrian Home Guard and collectively referred to as the Police Corps. These police are reserve military members who have opted to serve in the police as their civilian vocation; they number about 8,000, or about 14% of reserve personnel or 8% of total military personnel. The Police Corps concerns itself with aid in emergencies, responding to threats, arrest of suspects, and protection of public officials.

The national police service is known as the National Security Force. Their role is basically the same as both the constabularies and the Police Corps. However, they are exclusively responsible for border patrol and overall national security, and take over exclusive duties of the Police Corps in wartime.

The Tatran People’s Army and the Citizens Militsiya share a common origin. The Citizens Militsiya was originally an all-volunteer force of “citizen-soldiers” that normally served as the civilian police force but could also be mobilized as a military force during wartimes. They received basic training at a fortified camp located in their village or town called a “Sich” that served as an administrative and military center. They were allowed to choose their weapon of choice based on their personal abilities, and would be instructed by a weapons master to use a harquebus or musket, an arbalest with a cranequin, a polearm (such as lance, a two-handed flail, or a war scythe), or a sword and buckler. There were also mounted fighting masters and artillery gun masters. After receiving basic training, they were expected to return to their local “Sich” for at least one weekend per month. Some soldiers would choose to receive more advanced training courses later on, such as learning to throw grenades.

Similar to a modern day “National Guard”, they were once only military force of The High Tatras with the exception of large numbers of foreign mercenaries. Today, the Citizens Militsiya is no longer a military force (they have been replaced in this role by the full-time professional Tatran People’s Army) but it remains the main civilian police force. A member of the Citizens Militsiya is called a “militsioner”.

The organizational structure, methods, and traditions of the Citizens Militsiya differ significantly in several ways from those of the police forces in many other nations. The Citizens Militsiya as an organization consists of many functional departments, such as the traffic police. Organized crime detectives form highly independent squads inside regional Citizens Militsiya. Some units have distinctive names which are more specific than “Citizens Militsiya” or “militsioner”.

Due to its shared origins with the Tatran People’s Army, the Citizens Militsiya uses a similar rank structure. Therefore the lowest rank is “Strilets”, “Kozak”, or “Soldat”. Detectives always at least hold the rank of “Poruchyk” and may be promoted to “Pomkombat” or “Kombat”. The Citizens Militsiya of an entire Voivodeship (or another equivalent subnational entity) is usually headed by a general officer. Rank names are followed by the suffix “of the Citizens Militsiya”.

Citizens Militsiya personnel carry firearms, but they are not permitted to carry their weapons when they are off duty. Nor are they assigned permanent partners, as they instead work alone or within larger groups. Neither street patrols nor detectives are allowed to drive police vehicles themselves, so a specialist driver is assigned to each car and is also in charge of its maintenance. The traffic police is an exception, as they drive their own (or even own private) automobiles and are specially trained in risk-driving.

One unique feature of the Citizens Militsiya policing approach is the system of territorial oversight and supervision of citizens. The cities, as well as rural settlements, are divided into “quarters” with a special militsioner assigned to each one. Part of his or her job is to maintain close relations with the residents of his or her “quarter” and he or she often knows many of these residents personally; especially ex-convicts, substance abusers, and young hooligans. He or she is also responsible for apprehending minor offences and possesses a separate small office away from police headquarters. In some rural settlements where permanent police departments have not been created, he or she may be the only militsioner in his or her “quarter”.

Besides being highly skilled and professional at their duties, a "militsioner" is also expected to be very courteous and polite, and even well-dressed, so as to be a positive role model for his or her community.

Most people in the good ol' U.S.A. think "law enforcement," and they immediately think of the County Sheriff, or the local Police Department.

There is no unified police force in the Kingdom. Some regions, mainly urban boroughs, have their own town guards and police raised from virtuous citizens. In more rural areas, justice is dealt by the mob, or occasionally by the Lord of the Manor and his retainers. The King also has numerous Keepers, whose job it is to keep the King's peace. The Keepers travel extensively, investigating local affairs and ensuring that the local nobility understand that they're being watched.

Due to the nature of my nation, police are uniformed and only carry a stungun for self defence.
However, should anyone be arrested for a crime, they are held in a cell untill the IACA gives us the go ahead for punishment.
Police punishments usually end in 3 ways: Deportation to Norway, Increased labour hours or complete lock up.

The National Police Department of the Citizenry of Lalaki is a well-respected group that has strict regulations within itself and general internal operations to maintain honesty in law enforcement.

It is headed by the President, and represented on the cabinet by a Sheriff. Each city has its own local prefect, who oversees his/her own jurisdiction. All recruits to the force start off performing basic tasks, and can be promoted with hard work.

Our strong civil libertarian tradition has led to the implementation of certain law enforcement restrictions. All searches must be legitimized by a warrant, and excessive force can only be used in cases of grave danger.

Law enforcement duties in Brellach are undertaken by Her Lawbringers, based in Sheoth. Donning bright uniforms of white and pastel yellow, supplemented with darker, earthy browns, they are tasked with "protecting Her Favoured Children from those who are tainted by The Dark". In other words, they prevent, detect, and investigate criminals and their activities, with a view to bringing them to justice and protecting the innocent.

While Her Lawbringers have their own internal hierarchy, the organisation as a whole answers directly to (and are guided by) the Divine Queen, whom they venerate as the earthly avatar of their goddess. Because of this it is generally believed by most Brellachi that they are carrying out the orders of their goddess, a notion which neither the Queen nor Her Lawbringers have not attempted to dissuade.

Despite all this (or perhaps because of it), Her Lawbringers are generally recognised as being fair and just. They undergo an unusually intense training regimen that not only includes the basic policing skills common to many police forces around the world, but also such things as advanced negotiation tactics, basic psychology, and theology. The organisation's general policy, as determined by the Queen, is one of non-violence wherever possible. Lethal weapons are not carried as a matter of course (though are available for extraordinary cases), and suspects are apprehended with a minimum of physical force, with stronger measures used only when considered absolutely necessary.

As Brellachi spirituality requires that suspects (and even convicts) are treated with respect - for they are considered to be 'tainted by the dark' rather than 'evil' - and treated as innocent until proven guilty, conditions for those arrested by Her Lawbringers are good - with strict rules against the mistreatment of suspects in their custody.
